WTF: BWS has released no-fuss cocktails in a can

As we approach the warmer seasons, it’s all about impressing with Insta-worthy cocktails.

BWS has revealed a brand new range of premium premixes, bringing ease, class and convenience to at-home drinking. It’s nice to think you can live a ‘champagne lifestyle’ without having to pay $25 for each round of espresso martinis.

Many of BWS’s top premium distillers have now moved into the premix space, adding their own lines of batched cocktails that require no bartender trickery. These are the top picks to add to your drinks trolley for an easier and tastier spring:

For something fresh

Koyomi Shochu Blended Yuzu & Lime Highball is one to add to your alcoholic bucket list. The refreshing japanese drink will be your new season favourite to feel fresh even on the sweatiest of days. “Koyomi Highball Yuzu & Lime is described as a ‘perfectly balanced combination of Japanese and Western citrus fruits’. Yuzu, a popular fruit in Japan, and lime, a popular citrus in Australia, create a ‘refreshingly zesty Highball’,” said The Spirits Business.

For something healthy(ish)

Dirty Bucha of Byron (via The Bucha of Byron)

My love affair with kombucha gets hotter and steamier when new flavours are introduced frequently (my all-time favourite is still raspberry lemonade). Although, I am aware it’s not everyone’s cup of (fermented) tea. My friend and I sampled these in my garden last week and this guy dreads the taste of the fermented drink but didn’t seem to mind it in it’s alcoholic form. There are two flavours of the Dirty Bucha of Byron on offer: Gin & Lemon Myrtle Kombucha and Vodka & Tropical Kombucha. We can now (kinda) take care of our gut health on a night out…

For something traditional

Rum and coke hasn’t always been my first choice, but it’s something many people love and always will. The Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum & Cola “was made to honour the philosophy and passion of the grandfather of old-school American tattooing, Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins,” said The Plus Ones. There you go, some culture in a can for you.

For something sexy

Okay, yes, this is the best one. Espresso martinis are my go-to drink. The Curatif Archie Rose Espresso Martini (aka the liquid form of sex) does not disappoint with its rich flavour and how it masks itself as a ‘real’ espresso martini that’s freshly made at a bar. You’ll be saving a load of dosh with these canned espresso martinis, so you can drink a few more than just one or two.

For something strong

The Curatif Four Pillars Spiced Negroni (via Delicious)

The Curatif Four Pillars Spiced Negroni definitely isn’t a bullshit drink. Four Pillars said: “It is a highly aromatic, rich and (yes) spicy gin with great power and intensity. We use spices like Tasmanian pepperberry leaf, cinnamon, West African spice grains of paradise and Indonesian cubeb to up the ante. Plus there some fresh ginger to the botanical basket to help lift the spice, and we opened up the plates to add weight and intensity to the gin.”
