Morena had some explosive stuff to say about her time on MAFS

While there was a small window of time when we thought Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 couple Morena Farina and Tony Mojanovski were going to overcome their differences and make their marriage work, last night’s Commitment Ceremony finally quashed any sense that this volatile couple were sailing off into the sunset.

At first, Morena was a no-show to the Commitment Ceremony, but while Tony told the experts his side of their story, she made a dramatic entrance, telling everyone she wasn’t about to let Tony have the last word on their relationship.

From there, she vented about Tony’s sudden desire to have children, his issues with her age, and how she felt silenced by him. In the end, both wrote “Leave” (well, Morena wrote “Good Riddance”), and their relationship was sent to the depths of MAFS hell.

What has Morena said since leaving MAFS?

In news that won’t shock viewers this season, Morena has been spilling tea left, right and centre about her experience on MAFS.

During an interview with The Daily Mail, Morena accused the producers of MAFS of threatening her career. “[They said] ‘You leave, you’re going to regret it. You leave, and your career is going to suffer. You leave, and you won’t work in Australia again,'” she alleged, adding that producers had met her kids, which further outraged her.

She went on to accuse the directors of the series in particular. “I used to say to them all the time… ‘How do you sleep at night?’ I really want to know how. Because you’re a human being too. I know you’ve got a job to do – do your job, but you don’t have to destroy people.”

That’s not where Morena’s fiery statements about MAFS end, though.

Were the police called?

Another explosive claim? Morena says she threatened to call the police, saying the producers were “holding me against my will” and that it took a lengthy conversation with the “big boss” to convince her to attend the final Commitment Ceremony.

“They told me, ‘Are you really going to let Tony get away with everything he’s done to you? You know he’s married. He wanted his wife to come into the experiment. He thinks you’re too old, calls you a sl**, even headlocks you,'” she said, adding that she agreed to have the chance to confront Tony on camera.

What did she say about her MAFS treatment?

As if that wasn’t enough piping hot tea, Morena also alleged that production would purposely make conditions awful for participants to stir up drama.

“They either freeze you or overheat you,” she said. “They do it so you can become aggressive. You get soft drink and junk food, and that’s it.”

Sound familiar? Back in 2020, MAFS star Natasha Spencer told WHO Magazine the cast was “treated like animals.” She accused production of putting them in tents for hours or warehouses without air conditioning and also alleged that food intolerances were ignored. Being gluten-free, she had to get chips from a nearby vending machine during long waits.

While it became abundantly clear that Morena and Tony were simply not suited for each other, we will miss their chaotic relationship on-screen – but we’re fairly sure Morena isn’t done telling all about her experience just yet!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
