Australian Survivor 2025’s Max has been making quite the name for himself, with fans loving the Brains tribe member’s cheeky (and a smidge chaotic) energy.
So far, he’s best known for being caught up in one of the season’s most bizarre early controversies, when fellow castaway Kent Miller-Randle burned Max’s hat and tried to pin it on Myles Kuah, only for Kent to turn himself in at Tribal Council. The whole thing was honestly weird.
Max was a pretty good sport about it and since found his place as the team’s loveable and somewhat unpredictable goofball.

That said, he’s not entirely without controversy. He has his eyes on Myles as of late, (loudly) dubbing him a “jungle rat”. Plus his rogue moves in Episode 6 sparked a rift in The Coven, leading the Brain’s girl-group alliance to fracture.
But outside of the hat-burning and strategic mischief, who is Max? Let’s get to know him a little better.
What is Australian Survivor 2025’s Max’s job?
Max is a 28-year-old primary school teacher and from the looks like he’d be the most epic teacher who seriously loves his job.
Here he is as “Grandma Wills” reading storybooks for his students doing online learning. Aww.
For Max, though, his other big dream was to be on Australian Survivor.
“I know this game, I’ve been watching with my Dad since I was a kid,” he told Channel Ten.
“People might think I’m always joking around but I’m calculated and I will be out here. I put this fun energy out for a reason and to bring up tribe morale but the truth is I’m five steps ahead of everyone.”
Where is Max from?
Max is from the sunny Gold Coast, Queensland.
Per his Instagram, outside the classroom, Max seems to love dressing up, social hangs, mountain hikes, and the occasional trip around the country. Seems like a genuinely fun guy, all around.
Let’s see if he can keep up the good vibes on Australian Survivor!
