MAFS cast advice

Former Married At First Sight (MAFS) brides Tahnee Cook and Selina Chhaur have spilled some key advice for anyone looking to join the show for 2026.

The pair currently host Nova’s Back To Reality podcast, and they have been covering all things MAFS 2025.

Selina said she wanted to see an absolutely unhinged cast for next year — could we see a Jacqui Burfoot 2.0?

“My advice for the next cast: be your most feral fucking self. Be your absolute ratchet self,” Selina said.

Tahnee agreed, telling Selina she wished she had caused more of a splash on her season.

“If I could do my time again, I would’ve just been in the drama, I would have just stirred shit up for shits and gigs,” Tahnee said. “I would have just like, been the hot mess express because that’s hilarious, that’s what we want to see on reality TV, give us what we want to see.”

Selina told future MAFS contestants to feel free to cry or “have a go at someone”, and Tahnee gave the go-ahead for future brides to “throw a glass of wine”.

However, the pair had some harsh words for any contestants out there thinking about modelling their behaviour on Paul Antoine or Cody Bromley.

“Do not punch walls. Do not start a sentence with ‘I’m no racist, but…’. Put your partner first in the photo challenge, please,” Selina warned.

Tahnee agreed, saying that the photo ranking challenge is the one time when men need to lie.

“If there’s one thing any future participants can take out of it, put your partner first in that goddamn challenge. It’s not that hard, seriously. It’s so hard to watch,” Tahnee declared.

“And if you don’t feel it, lie. Lie! Why is it that men can lie off the cuff when they don’t need to, but when they have to lie, they can’t.”

Never a truer word spoken!
