We’re at the pointy end! Let’s get right into the Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 recap.
Adrian and Awhina arrive looking chummy in pink.
Jamie and Dave have also arrived cutesy as ever, only in all brown.
Jacqui thinks supporting her husband is “a detriment to the world” and has arrived alone tonight.
She is seeking an apology from Ryan that she’s absolutely not going to get.
“Jacqui wants me to apologise for being alive, literally,” Ryan says and look, he’s not wrong.
Once everyone is seated for dinner, Ryan tells the table about Jacqui’s threat to shave his beard off in his sleep.
“His body, his choice,” Adrian says, proving that he’s done his MAFS research before appearing on it.
Ryan continues to detail all the other things that went wrong in Manly and South West Sydney.
Jacqui gaslights everyone by telling them Ryan’s lying. Jeff calls bullshit because he heard her letter to Ryan with his own ears.
Teejay and Beth are somehow still here, if only for comic relief — the table is literally drinking every time he says “darling”, which a lot, sadly.
They choose to stay even though it’s not a Commitment Ceremony and even though I don’t know (or care) what they’re arguing about.
Jacqui has had a moment to reflect and thinks she could’ve been a bit harsh to Ryan. Not mean! But harsh.
“No woman deserves to be yelled at,” Jacqui says and you know what, no human deserves to be belittled? Even Ryan!
“I’m allowed high standards,” Jacqui tells Ryan. “Why dont you want to be someone great?”
Forgive me, I thought she was trying to reconcile things.
Ryan calls a spade a spade: that Jacqui doesn’t like him. She thinks she is the Eve to his Adam and bops his nose to prove it.
She thinks there’s no one out there who will meet her high standards and he tells her, “You need to ease the fuck up.”
He keeps trying to break up with her but this is not allowed on her watch. “I don’t lose people. People lose me,” she says.
So what, is she going to get him back just to dump him? I hope they make it to final vows just for the 17 emotions we’ll experience in three minutes.
