MAFS 2025 Episode 29 Recap: Veronica and Eliot don't want to play anymore

What a rollercoaster.

Ahead of the Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 Commitment Ceremony starting, John Aiken demands the couples open wide so the experts can come inside. What? He said it!

Let’s recap.

Awhina and AdrianThey have booked a couples massage, which is fine. They stay.

Veronica and Eliot:

This bin fire couple argue about the below:

  • Eliot’s personality in private VS with the rest of the group
  • Whether or not Eliot said “You think you’re pretty smart” to Veronica
  • Whether or not Eliot has ever asked Veronica to play card games
  • If Eliot wants to play with Veronica
  • If Veronica wants to play with Eliot

It was really hard to be mature about the last two. Veronica tells Eliot that she doesn’t hate him, actually, while looking at him with her hatey eyes.

They both leave — finally — but it was likely all worth it for Eliot who was granted an unexpected redemption arc. We just had to create a new villain in the process — actually, two.

Jacqui and RyanJacqui wants equal opportunity in a relationship! She wants to know what’ll happen if she falls into a coma!

Ryan will be the one doing the crying tonight, however, expressing that he “feels inadequate sometimes” and doesn’t measure up to Jacqui’s expectations. Can’t imagine why. Jacqui comforts him and Daddy John digs the vulnerability.

Beth and TeejayThe last intruders standing are still struggling with sex and attraction. He’s physically attracted to her but confirms he is not “sticking his tongue” down her throat. At this point, I think he just needs to stick his tongue anywhere that she consents to.

Carina and PaulThe couple who had their chance prior to MAFS have arrived for their Fanta commercial.

Paul hasn’t learned his lesson about privacy and tells the whole group what Carina said about Cleo.

The experts tell Paul what a dufus move that was and that he lacks the emotional chip of a regular human. He is surprised to find out Carina is questioning their compatibility, and after a wall punch and a vault share… how is this news to him?

Jamie and Dave: Jamie continues telling anyone who’ll listen that Dave doesn’t initiate sex with her. He says he THINKS he has feelings for Jamie before confirming that actually, yes he does.

Jamie and Dave's relationship shows cracks at the most recent MAFS Commitment Ceremony.

She thinks this relationship might be fake and doesn’t trust him. They both choose to stay, Jamie so she can “humour” him another week. Romantic!

P.S. Rhi and Jeff stayed.
