Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025’s Lauren Hall and Clint Rice are unlike any couple we’ve seen on this hellfire of a show, joining an elite list of a few couples to ever dodge a dinner party while still being part of the experiment.
Speaking to Chattr in an exclusive interview, Clint revealed that he and Lauren “boycotted” the dinner party to have their own version in the comfort of their MAFS apartment.
This decision follows the argument that took place at the MAFS 2025 Couples Retreat, whereby Clint and Lauren took on an upset Jamie Marinos at the Byron Bay holiday rental.
Lauren and Clint refuse to attend dinner party
Clint revealed that getting out of the MAFS dinner party was no easy task, with multiple people from production getting involved to try and twist their arms “all day”.

“We had probably four different producers come in, and then we had Alex call from the head of the production, and then we had John from Channel Nine calls to try and convince us. And we’re just like, ‘Not happening. We’re done’.”
The production had to get creative.
MAFS production’s last-ditch attempt
“They even offered for us to turn up in activewear with popcorn, and just go and sit at the end,” Clint laughed, noting he and Lauren declined the offer as it would be like “rubbing it more in their face”.
While Clint made reservations for a dinner with Lauren in Circular Quay on the right, he said that they weren’t allowed to do that, so instead dined in their apartment while the crew filmed it.

“Well, funny thing is, we got dressed up. I got the suit on, Loz put a dress on, we made margaritas. We had fresh seafood. It was actually pretty funny. Sort of a piss-take of the actual dinner party.”
Amazing. If Lauren doesn’t get a margarita brand sponsorship by the end of the season, I’ll be very confused.
Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
