Last night’s Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 was absolutely wild, with multiple showdowns between the cast. Not only did Lauren Hall and Jamie Marinos go head to head at the Couples Retreat, but their husbands Clint Rice and Dave Hand stepped in to say their piece.
Jamie then had a go at Carina Mirable and Rhi Disljenkovic for not having her back, but it turns out there was more to the story that viewers didn’t get to see.
The fiery blonde was so upset after being “extremely betrayed” by her friends that she ended up crying for days and neither Rhi or Carina checked up on her.
“After days of crying and not having communication, I would have assumed I would be getting calls or messages from Rhi and Carina at that point, because they knew how devastated I was,” Jamie tells Chattr.
“I couldn’t leave my room on the final morning of [the] retreat, I was very isolated… I just wasn’t expecting to be met with the response I was met with.”
While Rhi eventually did try to apologise to Jamie once on camera, but she didn’t call Jamie or visit her that night.

However, Carina ignored Jamie and was busy being friendly with Lauren for the rest of the Couples Retreat.
“Carina was just taking selfies with Lauren. Carina couldn’t give a fuck, honestly, about me being upset, she just continued her day,” Jamie says. “The self proclaimed Switzerland and peacemaker who enabled all these awful behaviours now, essentially, she’s playing footsies with Lauren out in the yard and did not even once just speak to me or sort it out with me.”
Jamie reveals Clint tried to reach out after the MAFS Couples Retreat
One of the most shocking moments from the episode was seeing Clint swear at Jamie multiple times. The bride tells Chattr after all the drama went down, he did try to reach out but she refused to give him the time of day.
“I don’t have a relationship with either Lauren or Clint. I know Clint has tried to reach out a few times, but at the same time, I don’t really have much to talk to Clint about. A grown man cussing out a woman, probably not my type of guy to have a friendship with,” she explains.
“I don’t have anything to say to Lauren. She’s irrelevant to my life. I don’t care to speak to her at all.”
It’s unclear at this point if Clint and Lauren will leave the experiment soon — neither of them seem comfortable around the group or participating — so was Jamie hoping they would leave?
“I was hoping that they leave Australia after this, after this retreat, just as far away from me as possible,” she jokes.
Are Carina and Jamie still friends?
While it seemed like Carina and Jamie were close friends, Jamie says that’s now over.
“Carina [is] someone who doesn’t have access to me as a friend [anymore],” she tells us. “I’ll be friendly with her, but [I learned] a really good lesson… what I cared about was the fact that I had two friends that I had been friends with since the beginning that chose to enable behaviour and be silent when I needed someone to support me.”
She adds that it was hard to see Lauren call her names like “buffoon” behind her back to Rhi and Carina, who didn’t defend her.
“That’s not how I would approach it. If someone was saying awful things about my friends, especially Lauren, who I know has been in for a hot minute… I found that a bit hard to watch. But then again, I think maybe our definition of friendships are different,” Jamie explains.
Yikes! It looks like Jamie and Carina are going to continue feuding during the Dinner Party, with Jamie teasing she turns “the worst pain” into “anger”. It’s going to be epic!
