You’d be forgiven if you thought the Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 drama was dying down for another year, but the newly-engaged Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice have kept the drama happening off-screen, sending a cease and desist letter to Combined Communications Specialist and Body Language Expert Scott Taylor.
Scott has been commentating on shows like MAFS for years on social media platforms, analysing the non-verbal communication of participants. He recently weighed in on Clint and Jacqui’s surprise engagement, telling Chattr, “From the MAFS [reunion] episode and all the recent socials, I believe that Clint and Jacqui are not in a true relationship. All the posts have the jeweller tagged in it as well, which would have been the promo contra for the publicity stunt.”

Body language expert Scott Taylor addresses MAFS’ Clint Rice’s cease and desist letter
Now Scott has shared on his socials that Clint has sent him a cease and desist letter, regarding his behaviour review videos.
“The letter, not marked as private and confidential, is attached as well as the screenshots of my reply for clarity,” Scott shared on Facebook. “I have conducted non-verbal analysis of multiple seasons of MAFS and numerous public figures (ranging from politicians and royalty through to reality TV cast members) and have done so without bias or targeting in any form.”
In his response to Clint, Scott said he will continue to share his thoughts.
“I further confirm none of my reviews is crafted with any set intent other than educating others on the behaviours I see,” he wrote to Clint and Jacqui.

Scott addresses Clint and Jacqui’s latest move: ‘It is a little deflating’
Scott told Chattr he hasn’t heard from Clint again, but said he’s received a lot of support from MAFS fans.
“The support has been overwhelmingly positive from people on the content I share and also the way it has helped them in different parts of their lives. It is a little deflating that they would take this approach to send the letter, but I will focus on the positive impact that can occur from people understanding non-verbal communication better,” he said.
“The general feedback across the few thousand messages and comments that have come through is that if they are happy (and everyone deserves happiness, I have said that regularly in my videos. They both truly deserve happiness), they should just focus on the relationship and not have social media as their primary relationship focus,” he continued.
“I would imagine that they have had some negative feedback from some brands they were approaching due to their current public image trajectory, and if people don’t take accountability for their actions, they look for someone to blame. It appears I am one of those targets.”
