Dave confirms what we all suspected to be true: he does not love Jamie back (yet). What great timing for a Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 couple swap, where everyone will find out that the grass may be greener on the other side, but anything that grows on reality TV will need constant watering.
Important news: Eliot reads a lot. I don’t know why I am surprised to find out he is a bookworm, but as a writer myself, I have a girl boner.
Weirdly, it does not seem to give Veronica the same excitement as she makes a jab about it. Eliot says he spends as much time reading books as she does in the bathroom. If I was as hot as her, I, too, would spend a lot of time with the mirror.
So Paul had a thing with Awhina’s identical twin sister, Cleo. Because the producers are sadistic, they’ve put Awhina with Paul for the couple swap challenge, which would be fine if Cleo wasn’t identical to Awhina. Like, literally, genetically identical.
Awhina jokes that if she’s put up with Adrian for eight weeks, she can absolutely put up with Paul for three days. It would be funny if it weren’t brutally true. On the other severely misguided hand, Adrian thinks Awhina will realise how good she had it with Adrian after spending time with another husband.
Carina is very sad about Cleo’s identical sister, Awhina, moving in because it’ll basically be like Paul looking into the eyes of someone he got jiggy with for three days, I imagine.
Ryan and Beth have been paired together. He tells the Brit he’ll be as open as he chooses to be about his relationship with Jacqui and how “they conduct themselves”.
He declares this not long after suggesting they have a swear jar for her stay. Beth thinks he’s a right wank and I don’t disagree.
Jacqui, however, is having the time of her life, with Jeff steaming her clothes, making her dinner, and basically not being Ryan.
Paul asks Awhina whether or not she sees Carina’s jealousy as a potential issue. Awhina feels weird commenting on it as she’s not a jealous person, even though she got angry about Adrian’s appearance because others would find him hot (her words, not mine).
Paul then tells Awhina that Carina is “a snob” who can come across as “judgey” and it’s giving him the ick.
Just how I dream of my partner talking about me! One of my exes called me entitled and greedy to my actual face, so sadly, I know the feeling.
Paul’s not done. He tells Awhina that when Carina found out about Cleo, she said, “I didn’t know you would go for that kind of calibre.”
Reminder: these two women are identical. Reminder: these two women are sisters and best friends.
