MAFS’ Clint defends Lauren’s behaviour, says scenes were missing from the edit

After Jamie and her husband Dave Hand called out Clint and Lauren, there didn’t seem to be any remorse. 

However, Clint tells Chattr that Lauren tried to patch things up with Jamie on the night of the Couples Retreat, we just didn’t see it.

“It was hard to watch last night,” Clint says. “Lauren apologised to Jamie like four times but they didn’t show that. Lauren has actually got a compassionate side to her. I even apologised to Jamie a few times and they didn’t show that.”

He adds that Lauren has a “softness” which didn’t come across, and this could partly be blamed on her rocky start to MAFS.

“She was not feeling comfortable about the whole experiment. She’d had a bad start with Eliot [Donovan] and got promised a lot of things from production coming back in that they failed to deliver on so she’d built up some resentment towards production,” he claims.

While Jamie still has resentment towards both Lauren and Clint, her husband Dave doesn’t harbour the same feelings.

In fact, Dave and Clint were texting during the Couples Retreat episode. Is this another clue that Jamie and Dave have split?!

“I still talk to Dave like we were texting last night while it was going to air, and we get along fine… there’s a few of the crew that we still talk to, so everyone’s fine,” Clint says.

“[It’s just] if I’m out with my wife and I’m around a group setting… I’m not going to turn on her in front of 20 people.”
