Married at First Sight (MAFS) continues to be just as dramatic off-screen, with Season 10 star Bronte Schofield slamming rumours that she’s dating 2025 groom Adrian Araouzou.
Daily Mail recently shared snaps of Adrian and Bronte hanging out at the Cottesloe Beach Club in Perth, but the pair weren’t alone, with Tony Mojanovski, Eliot Donovan and Paul Antoine also spotted.
A source told Chattr that Adrian admitted talking to Bronte before the experiment, though they weren’t sure what their conversation entailed. Bronte also previously told Chattr the rumours about a romantic relationship with Adrian were untrue, saying, “I’m not dating Adrian. I was at the Cott [Cottesloe Beach Club] and they were all there,” she said. “[It’s] so ridiculous.”
Now Bronte has taken to social media to debunk the rumours further, and she’s come with receipts!
MAFS’ Bronte fires back at Adrian rumours, slams Cleo Rutene for getting involved
Another added layer to this drama was Awhina Rutene’s twin sister Cleo weighing in, with So Dramatic reporting that Cleo initially slammed Bronte for becoming involved. “Having done this experience yourself and knowing how emotional this experiment was, to then text another bride’s husband the entire time,” Cleo reportedly wrote.
Bronte has revealed her conversation with Adrian before the show, where he slid into her DMs saying he was going to appear on MAFS. He then asked for advice, before spilling various amounts of information about his time on the show.
“He messaged me replying to a story,” Bronte said. “He’s continued to tell me whatever the hell is going on.”

Throughout the series of messages, Bronte has offered advice to Adrian about MAFS. “Nek minnit we’re in love all because he asked for advice on a TV show that I’ve also been on,” she said.
Bronte then said she was thinking everything would blow over, but after seeing Cleo’s comments said her hand had been forced because things were “getting out of control”.
“Cleo, I would really love to know, what facts you stand on, on the fact I was ‘texting another bride’s husband the entire time’,” Bronte said in another Instagram Story. “I did not reach out to Adrian, Adrian reached out to me.

“It’s gotten to the point where I keep seeing Cleo talking absolute bullshit, with no facts to back up her claims. So Cleo, babe, I really hope you watch that because everything you’ve said is total crap. There’s protecting your sister, and then there’s being downright mean.
“Do you really think after everything I went through with Harrison [Boon], that I would date a Harrison 2.0?” Bronte asked. “You should’ve just come to me.”

Cleo Rutene hits back at Bronte’s video
“At the end of the day, she shared texts between them which support what I said,” Cleo told Chattr. “She also said I could’ve messaged her when all I did was write on a post. She went and made a video about me to her 100k followers.”
Bronte hits back at Cleo’s comments (again)
Yep, this is getting even more dramatic! Bronte has taken to TikTok to address Cleo directly after one of her TikTok comments didn’t get filtered through to Bronte’s feed.
“I never denied talking to or knowing Adrian,” Bronte said. “You have literally gaslit yourself into your own narrative about me. I would never go out of my way to message you, because you’re the one who was going around talking absolute shit, commenting on posts, because you wanted your own 5.7 seconds of fame.”

“Of course I am going to jump to my Story and defend myself. You lied. You literally fabricated the truth, I’ve never denied I’ve spoken to Adrian, I replied to like, five messages, arrest me,” Bronte said.
