How do betting odds work?
Betting odds are linked to dollar amounts, with lower odds signalling a higher chance of winning—and a smaller payout. For example, if someone bets $1 on Myles to win Australian Survivor, and he does, they’d get back $1.70.
The payout scales with the bet size, so a $10 wager on Myles would return $17.00, a $100 bet would bring back $177, and so on.

Do betting odds correctly predict the winner?
In short, not necessarily — especially this early into the show. Because the betting odds have only recently opened, there will likely still be a lot more money bet, which will skew the odds.
On top of that, there’s obviously a lot more of the season to watch, and during that time players will be eliminated and challenges will be won, all giving more insight into who will ultimately be crowned the winner.
However, betting odds have previously correctly predicted the winner of Australian reality TV shows.
Lisa McCune had the best odds to win Dancing With The Stars 2024 and she took out the Mirrorball Trophy. As for Australian Survivor, Feras Basal was predicted to win the show, which he did.
