Australian Survivor 2025's Rich Hughes is actually a pretty successful director

He's even worked with some Hollywood A-Listers.

Australian Survivor 2025 is back, and a few castaways are already making names for themselves. One of them? 38-year-old film director Rich Hughes.

Hailing from Melbourne, Victoria, Rich is arguably the beefiest member of the Brains tribe and has already managed to ruffle a few feathers.

Here’s everything you need to know about him.

What does Australian Survivor 2025’s Rich Hughes do for work?

Rich is a film director who, according to his official Ten bio, has worked with some of “the biggest actors” in the industry.

Per his website, his portfolio includes both creative and commercial projects, with brands like Budweiser, Main Event, and Adidas under his belt.

In 2021, he made his feature-film directorial debut with The Enforcer, starring Antonio Banderas and Kate Bosworth, which is pretty bloody epic.

In fact, he credits his creative mindset as the reason he identifies as a Brain.

“Some people have a calculator in their mind. Mine is a paintbrush.  I love coming up with ideas and I’m pretty good at it,” Rich said.

He’s engaged to a fashion model

Rich has admitted the hardest part of being on Survivor is being away from his fiancée, fashion model Rhiannon Lee.

According to his bio, Rhiannon is the one person who truly “gets” him and is able to deal with his personality, which he confesses has landed him in trouble more than once.

He’s already on a few people’s elimination radar

That personality is already causing some friction at camp. Rich hasn’t exactly been the most useful around camp, and some fellow Australian Survivor tribemates are taking notice.

Ally Kettle has been openly gunning for him, while Logan Johannisen went as far as to say in Episode 3 that the noises he makes make her “blood boil”. Yikes!

On the flip side, he did earn himself some strategic brownie points by exposing Indy to The Coven alliance in Episode 2.

Rich seems to know what he’s about, though.

“I’ve been told I stir the pot my whole life and sometimes I don’t even know I’m doing it. I don’t mean to, but it happens. I’ll be doing that on the beaches. Life’s more fun when you stir the pot a little bit,” he has said.

Just be careful you don’t stir it too much, Rich!
