Myles and AJ on Survivor going to tribal

Australian Survivor‘s Myles Kuah and AJ Antonios may seem like a tight duo, but Myles told Chattr that he knew AJ was working behind the scenes to turn the tribe against him.

It was the March 17 episode that Myles and AJ appeared to hard launch their alliance, when host Jonathan LaPaglia pointed out that all the players were paired off, and then AJ revealed he was in on Myles’ bold Idol play to save Paulie Michael.

However, Myles has revealed that even then, AJ was planting seeds to alienate Myles from getting close to other players.

“He did an amazing job of totally cutting me off from [the other players]. He seeded a lot of ideas and totally cut me off from my connections that I had with other people,” Myles told Chattr.

“The show didn’t show I was actually quite close with Kate Gloufchis and Morgan Mitchell when we moved into Merge, but AJ kind of seeded some dissent there. And the same thing with Zara Callianiotis and Karin Gunatilake.”

How did AJ turn other players against Myles?

Throughout the Australian Survivor 2025 season, AJ has made a name for himself for being particularly persuasive and managing to get the other castaways to jump on board with his plans.

So, it should come as little surprise that Myles said AJ used his communication skills to convince the other players that he was trying to vote them out.

“He used his silver tongue. For example, he told Zara a bunch that I was constantly gunning for her, and I was constantly suggesting we get her out when, in reality, I wasn’t doing that at all,” he explained.

“I mentioned Zara’s name once when he said, ‘Hey, we should go for Karin’, and I’d said, ‘Well, I don’t want Karin gone. We could go for Zara, if you want’. But I didn’t want that. I wanted them to go deep into the game.

“Kate and Morgan, there was more genuine reason there, because I wanted to go with Zara and Karin. I didn’t want to go with Kate and Morgan. But, he basically was feeding back to them that I wasn’t with them and then getting them to turn on me.”

“Bloody everyone in the game — except for AJ and Kaelan — thought I was gunning for them,” Myles laughed.

Does Myles trust AJ?

Myles said that although he knew that AJ was making moves to ensure that Myles depended on him, he saw how that benefitted his game.

“I am essentially reliant on AJ and I knew that he did that because he wants to just have me as his sole number.”

He added that while he didn’t “fully trust” AJ, their arrangement helped both of them progress further in the game.

“It was an understanding of mutual benefit here, where I trusted him because we both benefit each other’s games. We’re both shields for each other. We’re both really big, big strategic players that people want to get out. So it wasn’t just blind trust,” he explained.

“I wouldn’t say fully trust him. I was never fully trusting anybody, but AJ did an incredible job because I was getting in AJs way a lot in the first half of the merge… I actually had a decent amount of power [after] Merge. And I was kind of stopping him from doing some of his plans.”
