Australian Survivor‘s Alexander Antonios (AJ) has been open about his successful career as a professional poker player, and it turns out he hasn’t been exaggerating.
Though ‘professional poker player’ can mean anything from casual enthusiast to seasoned pro, AJ is firmly in the latter—and more successful—camp.
So far, AJ has managed to hold a lot of agency in the game of Australian Survivor and has successfully convinced his alliances to vote the way he wanted, which could have a lot to do with his poker experience.

How much money has AJ made playing poker?
AJ’s poker career results are listed on The Hendon Mob website, which is a well-known and comprehensive database for live poker tournament results.
The website says that AJ’s total live earnings through his poker career are a whopping $456,158.
The database also lists the big tournaments that AJ has played and the amount of money he has won. According to those results, AJ landed a big win in August 2023 and pocketed $213,290 at the Australian Poker League Poker Tour tournament (APL Million 2023) on the Gold Coast.
AJ had another six-figure win back in 2014 at the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP APAC 2014) in Melbourne where he scored $128,784.

Watch AJ play poker
AJ’s participated in numerous video podcasts where he’s spoken about his career as a poker player, and he even took part in a poker series on the video platform.
You can watch AJ take on some other prominent poker players, including Kahle Burns, David Yan and Billy the Croc, in the series High Stakes Heroes below.
What is Australian Survivor’s AJ’s net worth?
AJ’s net worth isn’t publicly available, but with $456,000 in poker winnings and a potential Australian Survivor 2025 win, it’s safe to say he’d be sitting comfortably around or above the million-dollar mark.
Why are the Australian Survivor 2025 players so rich?
There’s a bunch of Australian Survivor players in the Brain v Brawn II season who aren’t strapped for cash.
Zara Callianiotis drives a Lamborghini and trots around in Louis Vuitton mules outside of the Survivor beach. She’s married to George Callianiotis, the owner and sole director of The Geocal Group, a building and project management firm, which reportedly brings in an estimated $5.51 million in annual revenue.

Logan Johannisen is married to Jason Johannisen, a premiership-winning AFL player who’s won a Norm Smith Medal and held a $600,000 annual contract for multiple years of his career.
Meanwhile, early boot Kent Miller-Randle made his wealth known during his short time on the show and has openly spoken about owning a $1.5 billion business.
We guess some castaways are simply playing Australian Survivor for their love of the game, not the prize money!
Australian Survivor 2025 airs Sundays – Mondays on Channel 10 and 10Play.
