Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025 is already delivering plenty of bombshells, and we’re barely out of the honeymoon phase! With three couples already calling it quits, a fresh wave of intruder brides and grooms are here to shake things up, including Eliot Donovan and Veronica Cloherty.
That’s right, the return of the runaway groom who famously walked out on his first bride, Lauren Hall, is now paired with 32-year-old Miss Universe contestant Veronica. Will it be second time lucky?

Eliot and Veronica’s pairing
Eliot caused quite the stir when he ditched the experiment early, claiming he had no spark with his first TV wife, Lauren. Their honeymoon was a disaster, with Eliot branding her “superficial” for having luxury luggage. Ouch.
By day two, he packed his (non-designer) bags and left.
Another sticking point for the business owner was that Lauren, 37, was two years older than him. Eliot, 35, was very vocal about wanting to be paired with someone in their 20s. Now his second shot at love, Veronica, is 32… so, close enough?
According to her Nine bio, the actress and personal trainer is looking for someone “who brings joy and laughter into her life” and has a strong sense of empathy. Will it be a a tall order for Eliot?
Is Veronica just in it for the clout?
It seems like things aren’t exactly smooth sailing for these two. And if the latest on-set rumours are to be believed, Veronica might not be in it for love, but for a little career boost. Shocker!
According to Daily Mail Australia, Veronica has been “nothing but trouble” on set, with insiders saying she’s been a challenge for both her groom and production.
“It’s all about her, and it’s becoming a bit of a nightmare for everyone that tries to cross paths,” an insider spilled.
“She’s treating this show like a personal audition,” another source claimed. “The minute the cameras are on, she’s performing. But behind the scenes, it’s all about advancing her career.”
So, are MAFS’ Eliot and Veronica still together?
It’s early on, but it looks like the MAFS couple isn’t currently following each other on Instagram, which isn’t a great sign.
But hey, stranger things have happened. We’ll have to wait and see!
