Some chaotic couples have said “I do” on Married at First Sight 2025 (MAFS), but Dave Thomas and Jamie Marinos are one of the few who seemed genuinely into one another from the start.
And, much to the relief of fans, Jamie and Dave made the decision to stay together at Final Vows. However, things started to crumble immediately after and Jamie called his behaviour out during the reunion Dinner Party.

Jamie slams Dave for his behaviour after Final Vows
Jamie and Dave confirmed their breakup during the MAFS reunion Dinner Party. Sadly, it looks like Dave never had serious feelings for Jamie, and she was pissed off by his inability to communicate.
“He just can never be honest with how he’s feeling, ever,” Jamie said while crying. “It’s just so frustrating because it’s like I had to initiate the breakup, I had to initiate the conversation like he’s not into me.”

The other brides supported Jamie and agreed that the men on MAFS 2025 weren’t exactly the greatest.
“He strung me along… Dave just wouldn’t ever be honest with how he was feeling and he’s done it to me twice,” Jamie said. “It’s just really sad because it was real for me and he just couldn’t figure out how to tell me.”
It doesn’t look like there’s any way for Jamie and Dave to come back from this.
What happened between Dave and Jamie at Final Vows?
Dave and Jamie’s Final Vows segment began with Dave’s speech. He kept it short and sweet and told Jamie that he wanted to give it a “real shot” and leave with her. There was still noticeably no mention of the L word — despite Jamie saying it weeks ago.
In return, Jamie told him that he makes her feel safe, understood and free to be her “full, loud self” and said he genuinely made her life better “just by being in it”. She finished off by saying she wasn’t ready to walk away from Dave and told him she wants to take the relationship beyond the experiment.
Are Jamie and Dave together in real life?
In an interview after the Final Vows episode, Jamie played coy when talking to Chattr, alluding that all will be revealed soon.
“I won’t talk about our experience after filming,” Jamie said. “But unfortunately Dave and I weren’t like the other couples during homestays where we fully embraced each other’s lives. We were on life support essentially, so we didn’t actually have the opportunity to know what it’s like to be in each other’s lives.
“[After Final Vows] I was looking forward to having an opportunity to work through things privately and see where they actually land.”
An insider had previously told Chattr that it was clear that Dave didn’t have strong feelings for Jamie during the experiment.
“It was obvious Dave never was into Jamie and just went along and led her along for the entire show. He even said yes at Final Vows,” the source claimed. “Afterwards, Jamie broke up with him because she knew he was leading her on.” Ooft.
While things certainly sounded promising for Jamie and Dave after they left Final Vows together, there’s been some signs indicating that they’ve since split up.

What happens between Jamie and Dave during the MAFS reunion?
It looks like things fizzled out between Jamie and Dave prior to the MAFS reunion, with the Dinner Party episode airing on Sunday, 6 April.
Adrian Araouzou spilled to Chattr that Jamie blames her now ex-husband for not taking accountability.
“What I saw at the reunion was that pretty much [Jamie] saying, ‘You couldn’t be honest with me, I had to be the one to be like, hey this is not gonna work, this is over. And you just sat there and agreed and didn’t fight for it’,” Adrian recalls.
“They show her walking off and crying,” he adds. “[Jamie tells Dave], ‘You were never honest. I had to call us off post-show. You weren’t really texting [me]… I had to break it up because you didn’t have the balls to do that again when deep down, you knew you didn’t want to be with me.’”

Jamie spotted with a Dave lookalike
Woman’s Day revealed in mid-March that Jamie had been seen out and about with a man in Melbourne, and it’s not Dave!
However, he apparently looks very similar to Dave, meaning she has a type.
“She was comfortable enough to wear no makeup and cute activewear,” the onlooker said, noting that Jamie fled the scene so nobody would take a pic.
Dave wanted to leave during his honeymoon with Jamie
A source told Chattr that Dave wasn’t into Jamie from the get-go and thought about leaving during their honeymoon.
“Dave never liked Jamie from the honeymoon. He wasn’t attracted to her. He didn’t like she didn’t like animals. There was a birdcage incident where Jamie was freaking out about the birds on their honeymoon, and he wanted to leave,” the insider claimed.
MAFS star alludes to the end of Dave and Jamie’s relationship in a personal message to Dave
One of the first signs that Dave and Jamie don’t last the distance was way back in March. At the time Morena Farina sent a cryptic message to Dave in an interview with MAFSFunny. The podcast episode, which was released on March 12, revealed Morena’s slip-up.
“Dave, I wanna thank you. Every single day, your hugs, the way you held me tight, you got me through some really dark moments. You’re a beautiful young man Dave, and you really are going to get a beautiful woman one day,” Morena said.
Fans spot clue about Dave and Jamie’s post-MAFS relationship
Dave is active on TikTok under the handle @siliconevalleycaulking, and fans recently noticed that he isn’t following Jamie on the platform. Could this be another sign the couple aren’t still together?
“I wish you and Jamie came out of this experience as a proper couple,” one fan wrote.
“He doesn’t follow Jamie on TikTok [yet] he is following other MAFS participants,” another observed.
“My thought is they are laying low like producers would have required. I imagine them so wrapped up in each other they don’t need to follow each other,” a third remarked.
But Jamie told Chattr at the time that the fact Dave wasn’t following her on TikTok wasn’t a big deal.
“Barely anyone followed each other on TikTok, and I actually unfollowed everyone on Instagram on socials, because you’re not supposed to follow anyone,” she explains.
“It’s only the random people that found my TikTok account, it wasn’t anything against Dave. But also, the rumour mill thinks I’m pregnant, so I don’t really trust the rumour mill.”
Hmm, we’re not buying it, Jamie.
