The thrilling endurance reality TV show The Summit is back, and you’re probably going to recognise a few faces amongst the bunch of contestants.
The series sees fourteen contestants tasked with climbing to the top of a mountain in New Zealand, each carrying a backpack with a portion of the $1 million prize money.
Here’s everything we know about The Summit 2024.
Official Synopsis
The trekkers will once more be stripped of their creature comforts, plunging into the awe-inspiring landscapes of New Zealand’s South Island. Against this backdrop of natural marvels, a series of jaw-dropping challenges awaits, designed to test their courage and morals, and push their physical limits to breaking point.
With their backpacks containing an equal share of one million dollars, the group must reach the peak of a distant mountain in just 15 days to win the cash they’re carrying.
When will The Summit 2024 be released and how can I watch it?
Season two of The Summit will premiere on Sunday, May 12 at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Who’s in the cast?
The cast is made up of 14 contestants, and this season there are a few famous names among them. Ex-NRL champ Mat Rogers, actresses Olympia Valance and Simmone Jade Mackinnon and ex-Bardot singer Tiffani Wood will all be competing for the grand prize.
“I think this adventure will show people who I really am,’” Olympia told Herald Sun about her gig on the show.
“It’s funny, because people always meet me and say, ‘Oh, I thought you would be a b—h!’ “And I get it because I’m posing and doing my job, but hopefully people will see the real me out here.”
