World’s collide in The Flash, in the DC Super Hero’s first-ever stand-alone film and on April 26, a brand-new — and dare we say it — ~flashy~ trailer was released starring Ezra Miller in the titular role.
The new clip was revealed ahead of its first screening at CinemaCon and showcased Michael Keaton, who is reprising his role as Batman.
While the movie is somewhat highly anticipated, it will no doubt be controversial given the multitude of allegations against Miller, who has seen a fall from grace over the past few years.
Here’s everything we know.
What is The Flash about?
When Barry (Miller) uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past, his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future and Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
Who is in the cast?
Alongside Miller is Sasha Calle, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Kiersey Clemons, Antje Traue and reprising his role as Batman, Michael Keaton.
The film was directed by Andy Muschietti known for It, It: Chapter II and Mama.
When will The Flash be released?
The Flash will be released in cinemas Nationwide on June 16, 2023.
