Last year’s season The Block may have wrapped, but winners Steph and Gian Ottavio haven’t put their tools down, as they’ve recently made another huge profit from renovation.
Steph and Gian took out the win on The Block 2023, as well as a $1,650,000 profit and received $100,000 prize money on top.
While that was certainly a tidy sum to set the couple’s future up, they’ve used their home renovation skills to earn even more cashola.
Steph and Gian sold their renovated NSW house
Steph and Gian have sold their renovated home in Bexley for $1,825,000, which they bought in early 2020 for $1,020,000.
After purchasing the property, the couple went to work on renovating it and spent seven months completing it in 2021. Once finished, Steph and Gian moved into the house with their cavoodle, Lumiere.
According to Domain.com, “they built a Scandinavian-inspired rear extension, with the kitchen, living and dining spaces in an open-plan layout featuring vaulted ceilings, north-facing skylights, burnished concrete flooring and large sliding glass doors opening to the courtyard”.
The property was listed five weeks ago with a $1.7m price guide, and sold through private treaty negotiations following an early-April auction.
What are Steph and Gian up to now?
Earlier this year, the winning renovators launched their own interior range called Japandi Estate.
“Japandi Estate is a lifestyle, homewares and architectural brand that blends Japanese ideologies and Scandinavian design elements,” Steph said in a video the couple posted to Instagram.
“As a brand, we look to find a balance between the inbuilt environment, and nature, while embracing the beauty in imperfection and use of nature.”
The homewares range includes Ottomans, cushions, tables and decor items. You can check it all out here.
