The Amazing Race Australia 2024 is about to wrap its eighth season and announce its winners for this year, but where are the winners from the previous seasons?
The reality competition first aired in 2010, with Grant Bowler as the host. It started at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and finished on Heirisson Island in Western Australia.
The show had a five-year break from airing but returned to the Aussie screens in 2019, and thank goodness, we missed the chaos of The Amazing Race Australia.
We did some digging to find out where the previous winners of The Amazing Race Australia are, so you won’t have to!
Here are the winners of The Amazing Race Australia.
Season 1: Tyler Atkins & Nathan Joliffe
The first winners of The Amazing Race Australia, Tyler Atkins and Nathan Joliffe, were mates that were originally from the Gold Coast but moved to Bondi.
Tyler has become a filmmaker and released his first feature film in 2022 called Bosch & Rockit.
Nathan has gone on to model for fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Fendi. He’s also appeared on Celebrity Apprentice.
Season 2: Shane Haw & Andrew Thoday
After policemen Shane Haw and Andrew Thoday won the second season of The Amazing Race Australia, they told the SMH they wanted to use the prize money towards their kids’ school fees and “smash the mortgage.”
It’s unclear what they do now, but according to their Facebook page, it seems they are still working as police officers.
Season 3: Daniel Little & Ryan Thomas
Sydney nurses Daniel Little and Ryan Thomas have moved on to different careers.
According to his LinkedIn, Daniel is a First Nations Engagement Coordinator. We are unsure what Ryan is doing now with his time.
Season 4: Tim & Rod Sattler-Jones
You’ll be happy to know that then newlyweds Tim and Rod Sattler-Jones are still as madly in love as ever!
They have since founded the sunglass brand TXR together. On top of that, Rod has his own mortgage brokerage in Maitland.
Season 5: Brendon Crawley & Jackson Dening
Cowboys Brendon Crawley and Jackson Dening are still living their best cowboy lives!
Brendon recently welcomed a new baby girl named Whitley with his wife Kaesha. The couple also share two sons Colton and Tildyn. Jackson also welcomed a second son, Chase into his family.
Season 6: Heath Curry & Toni Hilland
Husband and wife team Heath Curry and Toni Hilland are currently supporting each other as Toni battles a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Toni posted on Instagram last week to say she just had two craniotomies. Follow her journey here.
Season 7: Alli Simpson & Angie Simpson, Darren McMullen & Tristan Dougan, and Emma Watkins & Hayley Watkins
In the last season of The Amazing Race Australia, there was a three-way tie between Alli Simpson and Angie Simpson, Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan, and Emma Watkins and Hayley Watkins.
Alli Simpson, sister to Cody Simpson, is an influencer and model who posts outfits and beauty routines on her Instagram.
Angie, Alli’s mum, has a bachelor of social science psychology and recently went to the Paris Olympics to support her son’s girlfriend, Emma McKeon, who was competing in swimming.
Darren is an actor and TV host. He has recently starred in Heat, which airs on Channel 10. His nephew Tristan is the chief operations officer at the Sydney Racquet Club.
Emma, formerly known as the Yellow Wiggle, is a very busy bee. She hosts ABC News Teenage Boss: Next Level and makes her own clothing in her spare time. Hayley is an actress and a model.
