MAFS 2023 contestant Harrison Boon has thrown in his two cents about co-stars Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton’s breakup.
Of course, in true Harrison style, his remark was savage, to say the least.
“Their break up already getting talked about more than their entire relationship,” he wrote in the comments section of an unofficial MAFS account that announced the news of the breakup.
He was joined by fellow outspoken Married At First Sight alum Nasser Sultan, who also threw some jabs the couple’s way.
“The contract is over and they are both boring. On your bike,” he said.
Nasser likened the couple to Seb Guilhaus and Elizabeth Sobinoff from season seven and Jules and Cam Merchant from season six (who are married!).
“That Seb and Liz were the same. Now waiting for Jules and door mat [to break up],” he wrote.
Ollie and Tahnee are still living together
Tahnee spoke about her and Ollie’s break up on her podcast Chuffed. While giving some insight into what happened with their relationship, she revealed that she and Ollie are still living together.
She explained that they’ve signed a joint lease together, and with the current high cost of living, they’re still shacked up together despite being broken up.
What did Ollie say about their breakup?
Both Tahnee and Ollie took to their respective Instagram accounts at the same time to share the news of their breakup.
They posted cute pictures of their relationship, and Ollie explained the reason for their breakup in a caption, while Tahnee chose to post a text image and a caption.
“Hello, Tahnee and I have split up. It’s sad, but it’s okay,” Ollie began.
The MAFS golden couple met on MAFS season ten and were together for 16 months, but Ollie explained that they struggled to successfully translate their relationship from the show to the real world.
“There is such a separation from Skye Suites to real life that I think is really hard to account for and (albeit not without trying) was an adjustment that we struggled to make” he said.
What did Tahnee say about their break up?
Tahnee’s breakup post followed a similar sentiment and indicated that the split was amicable.
“Our lives are taking us in different directions and we feel at this stage it’s the best decision for us,” she wrote.
“From meeting as strangers who got “married”, to genuinely finding love, I’m pretty proud of the time we’ve shared. Our journey together has been such a roller coaster but sometimes relationships just don’t work out – no matter how much you want them to – and that’s okay.”
MAFS season 11 will premiere on Nine and 9Now in 2024.
