Everything you need to know about Stranded on Honeymoon Island

Want to fill that MAFS-shaped hole in your life? Well, don’t fret, because Australia is being gifted with a new show from Seven that’s set to cause quite the rumble on televisions across the country – Stranded on Honeymoon Island.

Endemol Shine Australia, which is the production team for Married At First Sight, are behind the new Australian series, which has been dubbed “the most extreme dating show ever seen on TV”. While it’s new in Australia, it’s not the first iteration of the series.

Ahead, everything you need to know about Stranded on Honeymoon Island, including what it’s about, who will be on it, and when it’s hitting our screens.

What is Stranded on Honeymoon Island about?

Stranded on Honeymoon Island follows a group of singles as they try to find love… on a remote island.

Having exhausted every dating prospect on home turf, these hopeful singles are down to their last resort: a remote dating journey. After a speed dating event, couples will be matched and marry, before they are dramatically stranded on a deserted island for 21 days in nothing but their wedding attire.

Removed from all modern dating obstacles, with no devices, no distractions, and nowhere to hide, these brave couples will live and breathe their new relationship… and get involved in some drama, of course.

When is Stranded on Honeymoon Island coming out?

Bad news, friends. While Stranded on Honeymoon Island was meant to hit our screens in 2024, we’ve now received word that Seven has made the decision to air the show next year in 2025.

While they haven’t released solid dates (yet), we’d bet our bottom dollar that they won’t want to go up against competitors Married at First Sight. This might mean that we might not see this new show on our screens until mid next year. Sad!

Who is in the cast?

The cast hasn’t been released yet. However, you can catch a glimpse of them in the trailer below. Radio host Jackie O will narrate the season.

Is there a trailer?

We’ve got our eyes on a trailer, which was released back in May.

We’ll need to hold out for any additional details but until then, you can bet that we’re going to just be sitting here, watching this trailer on repeat.

Stranded on Honeymoon Island will air on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
