The I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast has been confirmed; however, according to a sneaky source, it’s slightly different from the original lineup.
This year, some of the most well-known names on the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast list are comedian Dave Hughes, The Bachelor’s Matty J Johnson, and Big Brother’s Reggie Bird.
However, with the likes of Malcolm in the Middle’s Frankie Muniz appearing on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2024, some fans on social media have been questioning where the international celebrity is amongst this year’s cast.
Well, according to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia, Melanie Brown (known as Mel B) from the Spice Girls was meant to head into the jungle but pulled out at the last moment.
“Melanie Brown was supposed to be the English international on the show,” a source told the publication, adding that she was offered a whopping $500,000 paycheque for her appearance.
“Mel wasn’t put off by ‘the jungle’ life and would have been happy to share the campsite with her former Masked Singer co-host [Dave] Hughesy but pulled out for personal reasons,” the insider continued.
“The money was right, the opportunity right, but sometimes these things fall over.”
Prior to the announcement of the cast and the season kicking off, Channel 10 released a bunch of clues about who was among the cast, and one of those was a “chart topper”.
The Spice Girls’ had phenomenal success; in fact, the all girl group has nine number-one songs, which tells us that Mel would have matched the clue perfectly.
Who took the Spice Girl’s spot on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025?
The same publication reported that British TikToker Max Balegde is the celebrity who filled in for Mel when she pulled out.
While Max may not be as familiar as Mel B to the millennial watchers out there, he boasts over 3.5 million followers on TikTok, which may help attract a different age group of viewers to the show.
The same insider is confident that Max will be a hit with all the viewers—even those who hadn’t heard of him before I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025.
“He could easily go the whole way and win this thing,” they said.
Fingers crossed that there’s an intruder this season! (We’re looking at you, Mel B).
I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
