We’re still weeks away from The Block 2024 kicking off but the rumour mill is rife with speculation that Shaynna Blaze will leave the show in favour of Channel Seven’s Dream Home.
Yep, Shaynna might be calling time on her 12-year tenure as a judge on Nine’s hit renovation series, if reports by New Idea are to believed.
According to the mag, Channel Seven are hoping to woo the 61-year-old over to their new series, which is currently airing its inaugural season.
One source claimed the network thinks adding Shaynna to co-host Dream Home alongside Dr Chris Brown “would be a winning combo”.
“They would have a great on-screen rapport,” the TV insider said.
Channel Seven approached Shaynna Blaze for Dream Home 2024
The source told New Idea that Channel Seven tapped Shaynna for the gig for Dream Home 2024.
However, they failed to sway her.
“It’s true they tried really hard to get Shaynna the first time around,” they alleged.
“In the end she proved too expensive.”
News of Shaynna’s potential reno show switcheroo comes after she released her debut single, Warriorm, on May 3.
While fans were a bit “WTF?” about the move, she explained the career pivot has always been at the back of her mind.
“There are lots of reasons why music was on the back burner for me,” she told the Today show at the time.
“Initially, it was my family. I just wasn’t making enough money to support them.”
Shaynna previously showed off her singing chops on The Masked Singer Australia, being unmasked as Bluebottle.
