It’s episode five of Shark Tank Australia 2023 and strong pitches had the Sharks laughing, but as the Tank got festive, the Sharks got serious as our investors went in search of the next big deal.
Pitch #1 – Mimi & Co
The Product
First up in the tank was Aami with Mimi & Co, the world’s first “one size fits more” modern cloth nappy.
The Investment Wish
$100,000 for a 10% equity.
Offer Accepted
Davie Fogarty teamed up with Jane Lu to share a $100,000 investment for 30% equity.
Pitch #2 – Holiday Celebration Trees
The Product
Katie Rawall from New South Wales pitched Holiday Celebration Trees, a patented shelved Christmas tree made out of recycled plastic.
The Investment Wish
$300,000 for 15% equity.
Offer Accepted
Robert Herjevic teamed up with Davie, investing $300,000 for 30% equity, plus $25 royalty until they’re able to recover 30% of the original investment.
Pitch #3 – Wuli Grooming
The Product
Wuli Grooming is a gender-neutral, Australian-made vegan hair styling product designed with curly and wavy-haired folks in mind.
The Investment Wish
$ $150,000 for 15% equity.
Offer Accepted
Sabri Suby invested $150,000 for 40%, plus $2 royalty until the investment is paid back.
