Get ready to dust off your Manolos and shake up a Cosmo, because the queen behind Sex and the City, Candace Bushnell, is heading Down Under.
The best-selling author and creator of Sex and the City will be touring her acclaimed one-woman show True Tales of Sex, Success and SEX AND THE CITY to major cities across Australia this December.
Bushnell, whose New York Observer columns and book Sex and the City spawned the iconic series, will be sharing the real-life stories behind the fiction – dishing on inspirations for characters like Mr. Big, her own experiences navigating sex, and dating and friendship in the Big Apple.
“I’m so excited to be coming back to Australia,” Bushnell said.
“I can’t wait to share True Tales of Sex, Success and Sex and the City with my Aussie Sex and the City fans. They’ll hear about the real Mr. Big, my true-life Sex and the City friends and which parts of the show are real . . . or not real. Grab a cosmo and get ready for a lot of laughs.”
The show, which has earned rave reviews in its US and UK runs, traces Bushnell’s remarkable journey from arriving in NYC with just $20 in her pocket to becoming a celebrated cultural icon, with her writing featured everywhere from Vogue to Time Magazine and TV appearances with Oprah.
Candace’s Australian tour kicks off on December 5th at Llewellyn Hall in Canberra, hits the Gold Coast on December 6th, Sydney on December 7th, Melbourne on December 10th, and wraps up in Perth on December 14th.
