Former MAFS bride Samantha Moitzi was the first contestant to be eliminated from I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025.
The bubbly blonde was sent packing after receiving the fewest votes from the Australian public to keep her in the competition.
Although Samantha’s time in the jungle was cut short, she’s certainly no stranger to long stints on reality TV. During her time on MAFS, she and her TV husband Al Perkins almost made it to the Finals Vows ceremony but chose to leave the experiment during the prior Commitment Ceremony.
Reflecting on her time on the two reality shows, Samantha told Chattr in an interview that they were “completely different”.
“Having dinner at a MAFS Dinner Party compared to having dinner in the jungle with celebrities was a big difference,” she laughed.
Samantha added that the difference between the two reality shows was one of the reasons she decided to join the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast in the first place.
“The first reality TV show I did was all about love and being connected to one other person. Whereas this was about me, my journey, and being able to really get out of my comfort zone.”
“The cameras are on you 24/7 with I’m a Celebrity and it’s all about building connections and growing yourself, pushing yourself, and it’s led with kindness. I feel like I was really able to be my vulnerable self.”
Although Samantha admits that MAFS is the reason she got asked to be on I’m a Celebrity, she revealed that she’ll be tuning in her former co-stars in the South African jungle this year, rather than watching the new batch of brides and grooms.
“I actually haven’t watched MAFS since I’ve been on it; it’s quite triggering,” she said. “I wish the couples the best, but I think I’ll probably be spending my time watching my other campmates do fun things that I wish I was doing with them. I think I’ll be watching I’m a Celebrity this year.”
Who does Samantha think will win I’m a Celebrity?
Samantha confidently listed off three names when asked who she thinks will take home the crown on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025.
“My top three is Sam [Thaiday], Reggie [Bird] and Max [Balegde], and I reckon everyone knows it.”
Could Reggie take out her third reality TV win? Time will tell!
I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
