Sam Wood has been slapped on the wrist with a $577 fine and four demerits after allegedly being caught using his phone while driving.
According to News.com.au, the former Bachelor star was pulled over by officers during a six-hour safety sting called “Operation Lookout” in Melbourne on December 18, where 20 others were also reportedly fined.
Speaking to 9News in footage uploaded to Twitter, Wood denied any wrongdoing.
“No, I wasn’t,” he said when asked if he had been using his phone. “I’ve got nothing to say. I was not on my phone, I was on my hands-free.”

News also reported that Operation Lookout will continue throughout the summer.
The outlet also reported that seven people were caught not wearing a seatbelt as well as 12 cyclists riding without a helmet during the sting.
