Colin and Manu announce surprising new project ahead of MKR finale

Audiences are gearing up for an action-packed season finale of My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024. Amid the excitement, Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel have announced a brand-new project set to debut in 2025: Off The Grid.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming adventure-packed series.

What is Colin Fassnidge and Manu Feildel’s new show about?

Although details are still sparse, Colin gave Yahoo Lifestyle a glimpse into what viewers can expect. He revealed that Off The Grid is a travel and adventure series filmed in New Zealand, showcasing the duo exploring the North and South Islands by caravan.

“We did the North Island and the South Island, and it was sort of like a chef’s dream scenario where you get to shoot, fish and hunt,” Colin said.

He added, “We did a lot of cooking with the Maori people, Manu and I got tattoos, which wasn’t planned, I managed to split my head open—you’ll have to watch the series for that one.”

The project was conceptualised by Colin and Manu, who pitched it to Network Seven and received the go-ahead.

Interestingly, news of the new show’s arrival follows whispers regarding MKR introducing new celebrity judges into the mix in 2025.

What to expect from Off The Grid

The duo’s Instagram account for the show gives fans a glimpse at the camaraderie—and chaos—behind the scenes. Colin described the dynamic between him and Manu as being “like a married couple without the sex,” promising plenty of entertaining moments.
