It’s episode 10 of My Kitchen Rules 2023 and Nick and Christian are back, hoping to redeem themselves with their second cook.
After struggling with their first taste of 3181, the pair dubbed it a “soft opening”, calling this second iteration “opening night”.
While their prep went without a hitch, while cooking the entree, disaster strikes as all the tentacles stick to the BBQ and rip the suckers off.

Entrée
Chargrilled Octopus with Eggplant Puree and Pickled Cucumber
Judging:
- The Judges were impressed by the plating and taste of the food, with Manu only requiring a little more salt on the dish.
Main
Short Rib Souvlaki
- The dish was tasty but incredibly messy to eat.
Dessert
Choc Malt Semifreddo with Hazelnut Praline
Judging
- Manu called the dessert “dainty” while Colin said some salt would have counteracted the sweetness. “You definitely had redemption on dessert tonight”, he said.
