The My Kitchen Rules 2024 (MKR) grand finale was aired on November 19 with the Modern Italians Simone and Viviana taking the crown for this year.
The Italian team receieved a final score of 27 out of 30, awarded by judges Colin Fassnidge, Manu Feildel, and special guest judge Julie Goodwin. The Italian besties beat Tasmania’s mother-and-son team, Caz and Fergus.
And the fans took to social media to discuss how they felt post-MKR finale.
What did fans say about Simone and Viviana winning the MKR finale?
When the winner was announced on social media, fans cheered on the new MKR champions.
“The peoples champion,” one user wrote on an Instagram post.
“Such Beautiful and Deserving People! What an incredible display of Italian cooking. They were so kind, supportive and encouraging to every team opponent! Exactly how the show should be, less drama more wholesome quality people. So much love,” another user wrote.
Some fans were so impressed by Simone and Viviana that they’re already wanting to seem them on their screens!
“I’m so happy, i was crying with them. so well deserved. They need to make a cook book so we can all learn from them,” one user commented.
“So exciting so happy for you both I am hoping you get your own show. Brilliant,” one user said.
“They need their own cooking show,” another user agreed.
What did MKR fans say about the prizes for winning the finale?
Not only were social media users were jumping for joy for Simone and Viviana who won $100,000 for taking the crown home during the MKR finale, some wanted the runners up Caz and Fergus to also get some form of prize.
“Runner ups should also be given a prize,” one user commented.
Another user replied noting some brands should help sponsor the prizes.
“Agree, extremely disappointed they received NOTHING, SURELY A SPONSOR LIKE @lurpakuk would contribute or @mykitchenrules Congratulations Italians very well deserved wonderful techniques. Best season ever,” they said.
MKR fans still rallied behind the runners up.
“Caz and Fergus congratulations on all you achieved as well. You also won the hearts of Australia. Really wish these shows had a second prize because you deserve it,” an Instagram user commented.
