Congratulations are in order for My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2024 winner Simone Prest, who has welcomed an adorable baby boy.
Simone announced that his partner Victoria had given birth to their baby, Romeo, in an Instagram story on January 15.
The chef shared an Instagram story of himself and Victoria with Romeo and reposted a story from Victoria’s caption, “Who would’ve thought my son would be French?”. He also uploaded a video of himself cuddling newborn Romeo.
Simone announced Victoria’s pregnancy during the MKR 2024 finale
Simone—who won MKR 2024 alongside his best friend Viviana—publicly announced that Victoria was expecting after the pair won the show.
During a post-win interview with Chattr, Simone revealed that he discovered his partner was pregnant while he and Viviana were filming the season.
“We found out [that Victoria was pregnant] why we were on the show,” he explained, adding that they had a few chances to see each other during filming.
“We came back a few times to cook at home, and she joined me a couple of times around Australia just to see each other. But, it was very challenging, and it was really tough.”
During the same interview, Simone said that he struggled the most with “being far away from home while my partner was pregnant.”
The reality TV winner added that he hopes little Romeo will follow in his footsteps and become a chef.
“Well, he’s going to have some Italian blood inside him, so I feel like he will come naturally for him,” he laughed.
We can’t wait to see little Romeo whipping up some homemade pasta!
