Speculation has been running wild ever since Mia Hewitt, daughter of Aussie power couple Lleyton and Bec Hewitt, was spotted on the set of Home and Away.
Fans couldn’t help but wonder if the 19-year-old is following in her famous mum’s footsteps. Bec, of course, starred in the iconic, long-running Aussie soap from 1998 to 2005 as the beloved Hayley Smith Lawson.

What is Mia Hewitt’s role on Home and Away?
You might be a little surprised to learn that Mia isn’t on set to act. But she’s still very much a part of the Home and Away family. The talented teen has actually been working behind the scenes for some time.
Channel 7 confirmed the news exclusively to Chattr.
“She is not cast, she is part of the crew, working as a casual wardrobe assistant, and has been part of the Home and Away family for the past year and a half,” a Channel 7 spokesperson said.
As Yahoo Lifestyle reported, Mia’s earned some fan love behind the camera, with sources revealing she’s “well-liked” by both the cast and crew.
The publication noted Mia was spotted on the Home and Away set working alongside the production crew, and helping out in various jobs including holding up an umbrella for a cast member.
Outside of Home and Away, what else has Mia been up to?
When Mia’s not rolling up her sleeves for Home and Away, she’s busy pursuing her own passion for music. She plays guitar and sings in the band Father’s Favourite – a “bohemian rock ‘n’ roll” duo.
Speaking of the Hewitt family’s musical talents, don’t forget that Bec also launched a singing career before marrying tennis star Lleyton in 2005.
The couple is still going strong and shares three kids: Mia, Cruz, 15, and Ava, 13.
