Imagine being a two-time Oscar nominee and starring in some of the highest-rated films of all time just to still be humbled by your childhood friends.
On January 16, Margot Robbie attended the Babylon premiere in Sydney and experienced just that.
While speaking to entertainment reporter Justin Hill on the red carpet, one of her friends passing by yelled out, “Hey, Maggot!”
Margot took it in her stride, excitedly turning around to wave and jump at seeing her long-time friends after they exposed her childhood nickname.
“I saw my school friends. We have been friends since we were four years old,” the 32-year-old actress revealed to Justin.

Maggot’s (sorry, Margot’s) new movie debuts in theatres on January 19 and centres on the rise and fall of multiple characters in Hollywood in the late 1920s.
The Australian premiere saw Margot dressed in a pale blue Versace gown with a thigh-high slit.
Alongside Margot, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Brad Pitt, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo, and Li Jun Li.
Margot was joined by co-star and Mexican actor Diego Calva, who is visiting Australia for the first time.
In a recent interview with W Magazine, the Wolf of Wall Street actress talked about how “frantic” she was to play the character of Nellie LaRoy.
“When I got the script for Babylon, I felt I had to do it. I’ve never felt that way about a script,” she said.
“I was frantic. At one point, I suggested showing up at the director’s house.
“When we eventually met, I said, ‘I have to play this character – she’s mine.'”
Babylon premieres in theatres on January 19.
