Married At First Sight’s Madeleine Maxwell has been spotted on another Australian TV show, but this time it was a quiz show!
Madeleine is an established actor who’s appeared on Home and Away, Wentworth and Upper Middle Boga. And, she’s recently been spotted on another TV show where she appeared as herself.
The 30-year-old psychic medium competed on Millionaire Hot Seat.
Madeleine on Millionaire Hot Seat
Madeleine appeared in an episode that aired on March 21, 2023 and appeared under the name Maddy Jevic.
Millionaire Hot Seat is a spin-off of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? where contestants are put on teams of six and take turns answering the questions. If they’re able to answer them correctly, the team can take home up to a million dollars.
Madeleine was asked what the ‘B’ in the government agency BOM stands for. Unfortunately, she didn’t know the answer and decided to skip her question. Madeleine ended up leaving the show empty-handed.
Madeleine’s time on MAFS
Madeleine made up one-half of MAFS shortest-ever marriages, alongside Ash Galati. The couple got ‘married’ as intruders mid-way through the week and left the show just five episodes later.
The pair struggled to hit it off, and Madeleine was clearly unhappy with her match.
Since the show finished airing, the psychic medium has come out and slammed her edit in an interview.
She used a specific scene between her and her on-screen husband Ash Galati as an example. The date took place during the couple’s MAFS honeymoon when they visited a farm for lunch.
Madeleine cried over the fact that the cows would likely be used for food, despite having been shown eating meat for dinner the night before.
Madeleine explained on Yahoo Lifestyle’s Behind The Edit podcast that she had been vegan and vegetarian on and off for the last six to seven years, but was eating meat at the time of the show because of a medication she was on for her skin.
“So the cow scene. There is just a lot of context removed,” she told the publication. “I was on medication for my skin and I needed healing happening really quickly. So I was eating meat, not red meat, but meat.”
“When I see the cows after what I did the night before, it’s kind of feeding into that guilt and shame I was feeling in the voxxie [producer interview] prior…. watching that back, oh my god, it seems so full on, but you’re unearthing so much about love and what you desire and what you’ve done in the past that may or may not be a good choice or whatever,” she said.
Watch Married at First Sight Sundays at 7.00 pm and Monday – Thursday at 7.30 pm on Nine and 9Now.
