It’s no secret that Married At First Sight producers tend to meddle with storylines in order to create juicy drama, and Eden Harper has revealed that Jayden Eynaud helped them do just that.
During homestays, Eden and Jayden headed back to his family home on the Gold Coast. However, Eden initially missed the first flight and viewers were led to believe it was because she was riddled with anxiety about their relationship.
However, during an interview on Hit Network’s The Pulse with Seany B & Emma G, Eden revealed that Jayden actually knew where she was, and said it was just a case of her running late.
Why did Eden really miss her flight?
In recent weeks Eden and Jayden’s relationship has been a bit of a rollercoaster; mainly related to the couple fighting over revealing Sara Mesa’s lie to Tim Calwell about meeting up with her ex.
The show made it out that Eden purposely missed the fight because of their relationship troubles.
“My wife is nowhere to be seen, so I’m going by myself,” Jayden said in the episode as he boarded the plane.
“As their time for departure closes in, Jayden is still unable to get in touch with Eden,” the voiceover chimes in.
However, Eden cleared up that her MAFS husband actually knew where she was.
“I messed up that morning. I didn’t run away because I wanted to think about my feelings or anything I got an Uber into the city because I needed to get nail fixed, so petty,” she laughed.
Eden explained that her mission into the city took longer than she expected due to peak hour Sydney traffic.
“The traffic was crazy. It took me over an hour to get home, and we live 15 minutes from the city, so I missed the flight. Jayden was fully aware of where I was and what was going on. I don’t know why he was saying that he hadn’t heard from me because he definitely had,” she revealed.
Eden added that she’s even got proof that she was in touch with Jayden about her whereabouts while she was stuck in traffic.
“I’ve literally got the text with Jayden where I was at the airport at the same time they were checking in and I booked the next flight and I told him ‘I’m going on the next flight, It’s going to be two hours behind yours’,” she said.
“So at that moment when they filmed him walking on [the plane], he knew exactly where I was and what I was doing. I was like This is wild, why is he doing that?”
