The Love Island Australia 2024 journey is nearly over, and the villa’s remaining couples are revving up for what’s sure to be a dramatic season finale.
As always, it’s up to the fans to vote and decide which duo will walk away as this year’s winner, and take home the ultimate Love Island Australia prize.
But what exactly is that prize this year? Will the winners face the ultimate test: love or money? Here’s what we know.
What do the winners of Love Island Australia get?
Last year, Kale Roberts and Tyra Johannes snagged the $50,000 prize. However, the show departed with the usual ‘steal or split’ decision.
Instead, the couple walked away hand in hand (and wallet in wallet) without any messy dilemmas of cashing out.
Will this year follow suit, or is the iconic format making a comeback?
Sophie Monk spills the tea for Love Island Australia 2024
Love Island host Sophie Monk hinted during Episode 27 that 2024 might be revisiting the classic Love Island finale setup.
“What normally happens on Love Island is the winning couple picks an envelope each. One with $50,000, the other with zero,” she explained.
“The Islander that picks the envelope with 50 grand then makes the ultimate decision: keep all the cash, or share it with their partner. Love, or money.”
Sophie dropped another clue about this year’s Love Island Australia prize during the episode’s mini Love or Money game, where $20K was up for grabs, teasing, “If you take this money, you’ll basically take home as much as the winners.”
So while it’s not officially confirmed, it does seem to suggest fans can expect the return of the $50,000 ‘steal or split’ format.
Who’s tipped to win?
According to Who, fitness influencer Kaylah Holmes and bombshell Eric Garcia are currently the couple to beat, with fans rallying behind their undeniable chemistry.
The couple does seem genuinely loved-up, and rumour has it Kaylah and Eric are still together outside the villa.
But will they claim the ultimate prize, or could another couple pull off a surprise win?
One thing’s for sure: the Love Island Australia 2024 finale is shaping up to be one for the ages. So, which couple are you backing?
