Love Island Australia Season 6 has officially landed on Aussie television screens, promising audiences some seriously spicing watching. One key element of that is the arrival of Hotel Amor. If you’re wondering what Hotel Amor is, and how it’ll play out in the 2024 iteration of Love Island Australia, allow us to offer a guide.
How does Casa Amor usually work?
Longtime fans of the Love Island series will be familiar with the Casa Amor set-up, which usually sees one-half of the coupled-up contestants (either men or women) whisked away to a new villa (Casa Amor), with a bunch of new contestants of the opposite sex.
Here, the cast members have the option to stick with their original beau or give things a shot with a new flame.
How will Hotel Amor differ in Love Island Australia?
In Love Island Australia, Hotel Amor will look slightly different to the classic Casa Amor format.
In an interview with the NZ Herald, host Sophie Monk shared, “Hotel Amor sees couples sent away for one night in a hotel – but in the couples the audience thinks they should be in, not the couple they’re currently in,” Monk said.
“No cameras allowed. I thought nothing would happen – but no, it does.”
A source has also spoken with So Dramatic!, sharing that fans can expect some naughty goings on in Hotel Amor.
“What the Islanders get up to this season is 1000 per cent X-rated and will have viewers more involved than ever before,” the insider told the outlet.
Because of the hidden-away nature of Hotel Amor, contestants are driven to question the actions of their partners, the insider continued.
“What the mind can imagine is much worse than what usually has happened. The can (sic) of mind manipulation has taken the game to another level,” they said.
Apparently, international versions of the show are looking to trial this format as a result of how well it worked.
Love Island Australia 2024 is airing on 9Now.
