Nine has dropped the list of movie titles coming to the big screen for Love Island Australia‘s Movie Night, and fans have some predictions about what they’ll cover.
What is Love Island’s Movie Night?
If you’re new to the concept of Love Island Australia‘s Movie Night, allow us to help. Essentially, it’s a night where the contestants of the show cosy up and prepare to watch a series of short movies made up of hidden moments they didn’t expect to be shared.
In short: it usually highlights the nasty things Islanders have been saying behind one another’s backs.
What is being shown during Movie Night 2024?
We don’t know exactly what’s coming our way just yet, but here are the movie titles Channel Nine has shared.

Those titles don’t give away all that much, but Love Island Australia fans have some theories running for Movie Night, still.

The Long Kiss Goodnight will feature Sophie and Zane
One Redditor shared they think movie one will be about Sophie Mills and Zane Prophet in Hotel Amor.
“The long kiss goodnight is totally Sophie and Whats his face’s ‘just a kiss goodnight’ at the hotel,” they wrote.
Over on Facebook, fans are feeling much the same.
“Dylan is about to see how he got played by Sophie,” one user wrote.
In case you’re a little behind, this references the heated weekend Zane and Sophie spent together when they were paired together for Hotel Amor… Meanwhile, Dylan Towolawi (who is coupled with Sophie) behaved himself very well while in Hotel Amor with Mimi Paranihi.
Taylor’s repetitive approach with the girls will be exposed
Another fan shared, “My best guess is ‘Groundhog Tay’ Is gonna be Taylor [Reid] saying the same exact things to multiple girls hahaha.”
This was echoed by a Redditor who replied, “God, I hope so.”
‘Mean Girl’ behaviour will be called out — but we’re not sure whose
The movie title that has the most interest, it seems, is Mean Girls.
Some fans believe this movie will bring a little justice to the Islanders who have treated others poorly, while others worry it’ll affect their favourites. There is a fair amount of discussion online at the moment, with fans debating which Islanders will pop up, but the most popular names are Hannah Steinfeld, Kaylah Holmes, Em Miguel-Leigh and Mimi.
“I hope the “mean girls” is a throwback to Hannah and Eilisha [Purcell] at the beginning. We haven’t forgetten (sic),” shared one fan.
“I hope mean girls isn’t Em and Mimi I will crash out,” said another.
“I hope it’s the clip of Hannah, Kaylah and Krissy at the teepee hating on Em hanging out with Taylor in the pool. I want so badly for Hannah’s behavior to be exposed,” wrote a third Redditor.
“Get Mean Girl Hannah OUT,” said another.
“This is when the truth shines, and people’s real character comes out,” said a final fan – summarising the whole experience in one.
The only promo we have for this episode of the show highlights the Islanders getting riled up over the contents shown on Love Island Australia’s movie night, but we don’t have any clear hints about what’s coming just yet.
