Love Island Australia Islander Em Miguel-Leigh has been capturing the attention of folks in the villa and audiences at home since the season kicked off, so let’s get to know this energetic single and what she’s looking for during her time in Spain.
What do we know about Em Miguel-Leigh?
Well, outside of her reality TV journey, Em works mostly as a model and content creator. She has also worked in hospitality – as a restaurant manager, and in social media marketing as well.
The 26-year-old grew up outside of Kempsey, New South Wales, and after leaving home at 18, spent some time living aboard in Canada. Most recently, she has called Sydney home.
Ever an active gal, Em boasts a black belt in karate and is also a fan of snowboarding.
In a promo clip for Love Island Australia 2024, Em said, “You’ve never seen anyone on Love Island like me before…” So, she’s certainly confident!
What is Em looking for on Love Island Australia?
According to Nine, Em is on the hunt for an “emotional connection first over a physical one”. Initially, she was coupled up with Taylor, but eventually revealed those feelings had faded due to a new connection with Bombshell Mercedes.
Em was paired with Mercedes in Hotel Amor and has been smitten with her new beau.
During the recent ‘truth bike’ challenge in the villa, Em made it clear that she has no interest in Taylor at this point. She was, however, pretty upset that Mercedes decided the share with the group that the couple had been intimate during their time in the villa together.
Whether or not this will impact the couple’s future, we’ll have to wait and see!
