Paramount+’ Paper Dolls feels like a true story, but is it based on fact or fiction?

Paramount+’s Paper Dolls tells the story of five women who found fame on a reality TV show and began an all girl band.

For millennials, the plot may sound like deja vu as it’s suspiciously similar to the history of Bardot, who were created on the reality star Popstars in 2000.

Interestingly, one of the executive producers on the show is Belinda Chapple, who was a member of Bardot.

Four of Paper Doll’s leads EmaliaMiah MaddenCourtney Clarke and Courtney Monsma sat down with Mediaweek and Chattr’s pocast Entertainment Hotline, to reveal how closely connected to Popstars the new series is.

Is Paper Dolls based on Bardot and Popstars?

Despite the glaring similarities between the two, the cast was adamant that Paper Dolls isn’t a recount of Bardot’s experience.

Instead, Madden said that it’s focused on exposing “the underbelly of the pop world.”

“It shows what life is like for pop stars when the smoke and mirrors have blown away,” she said.

She added that the narratives shown on Paper Dolls have “happened at least once if not multiple, multiple times in the industry for different kinds of popstars.”

“Behind the glitz and glamour is just a lot of hard work and self-discovery and also learning about the world not always being what you might hope it to be like,” she said.

The rehearsal process was intense

Most of the lead actresses have backgrounds in music and dancing, which Mia explained was detrimental at times because they struggled to look like the beginners they were cast as.

“In episode two, the beginning sequence is me trying to nail this dance. It looks really shamble-y and chaotic,” she explained.

“That was five sessions of one-on-one dance training to do it perfectly and figure out how to make it look like you’re messing up and how to do it in a way that makes it look like you’re more tired!”

Is the new Asher Keddie led series Strife based on a true story?

There are whispers that the new Binge TV series Strife is based on a true story, however, the statement rings both true and false at the same time.

While Strife is a fictional series, it is loosely based on publisher Mia Freedman’s journey from magazine editor to owner of a digital empire.

For those unfamiliar with Freedman, she worked in women’s magazines for 15 years. She began her career at Cleo magazine as a beauty editor and ended it as the editor of Cosmopolitan. After leaving magazines, Freedman created the lifestyle website Mamamia, which is still extremely successful to this day.

Strife. Binge.

The TV series Strife follows Evelyn Jones’ (played by Asher Keddie) journey of building a hugely popular publication from her lounge room, the same place where Freedman started to create Mamamia.

Of course, the similarities of their paths are stark, plus Freedman’s an executive producer on the show, so is the whole thing based around her?

Is Evelyn Jones based on Mia Freedman?

The show’s journey is based on Freedman’s life, however, the former Cosmopolitan editor has stressed that Strife isn’t a non-fiction recount of her life.

“Nobody is playing me. Asher Keddie is playing a character called Evelyn Jones. Strife is loosely based on my experience of leaving magazines to start a women’s website but it’s not my personal story,” she told Mamamia.

Strife. Binge.

While Strife isn’t a true story, it is based on Freedman’s book memoir Work Strife Balance, which was published in 2017.

“[Strife is] fiction, so it’s not my life. We were all very adamant from the start that we didn’t want Strife to be a biopic. That’s why it’s inspired by the book not ‘based’ on the book. There’s a difference!

“We had a lot more creative freedom to make a compelling show without having to be faithful to any real-life narrative. But the world that we created and the things you see happen on Strife are all true to life — just not necessarily my life.”

How can I watch Strife?

All eight episodes of Strife are available to stream exclusively on Binge.

Maria Thattil’s surprising career move

Neighbours have recruited another prominent media personality to join the soap as a cast member with the news that Maria Thattil will play Amira Devkar in 2024.

Thattil will be in a guest role on the iconic series and her character is the older, “sometimes bossy” sister of Haz Devkar, played by Shiv Palekar.

“I’m so excited to be heading to Ramsay Street to bring Amira to life, and best believe she’s coming in with a bang!” Thattil said in a statement.

“It’s a pretty surreal thing to get to play a queer woman of colour on one of the most iconic shows in Australia, as seeing that representation was unheard of when I was growing up. I couldn’t be prouder to join the Neighbours cast and I can’t wait to stir up a little fun.”

Neighbours teased that there will be some drama associated with Thattil’s role.

“We’re delighted to announce that Maria Thattil will be joining the cast next year in the guest role of Haz’s big sister! But just why she turns up suddenly at Harold’s is yet to be revealed,” the official Instagram account for Neighbours posted.

What has Maria Thattil been in before?

It’s certainly not Thattil’s first time in the spotlight. Her journey to stardom began when she won Miss Universe Australia in 2020, and went on to place in the top ten of the global competition.

In 2022, the 30-year-old competed on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia and was eliminated second. While she was in the jungle she revealed that she was bisexual.

Since then, Thatiil has gone on to become an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and won Marie Claire’s 2023 The Voice of Now Award. She was also a guest judge in an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under this year and has written a book called Unbounded.

Maria Thattil shared her excitement about the new gig on Instagram

After it was officially announced that Thattil was joining Neighbours next year, the media personality took to Instagram to share what she was looking forward to.

“I couldn’t be more proud to join the beautiful Neighbours cast at a time when the show is evolving to tell even more Australian stories,” she began.

“Imagining 10-year-old me turning on the telly to see herself is pretty surreal … even more so because I can’t remember ever seeing a gay female South Asian character on an Australian TV show. Can you? Grateful to @neighbours & @channel10au for the honour of being an authentic representation of what we’ve been missing. And to do it with a bang.”

Neighbours airs on Monday to Friday at 6:30 on 10Peach and 10Play.

Interview: Big Brother 2023 winners Tay and Ari reveal exciting plans for their $100k prize money

Tay and Ari Wilcoxson made history on Big Brother Australia 2023 as the first-ever joint winners of the series.

Big Brother. Seven.

In an interview with Chattr, the loveable sisters revealed what they plan to do with their winnings.

“What we want to do with the money is travel,” Tay said. “Japan is first on our list, we want to hit the slopes and go snowboarding, so that’s definitely at the top of our bucket list.”

Tay and Ari have over 680,000 followers on their joint TikTok account and want to filter some of their prize money into creating more content on the platform.

“We want to keep creating experiences and really cool content and our fan base.”

The sisters believe playing together was an advantage

Tay and Ari were the only contestants on Big Brother Australia 2023 to play as a team, and they believe it worked in their favour.

Tay said they were both approached about being on the show but only found out the day before entering the house that they’d be playing as a team.

“At the time, we were like, ‘No! It’s a disadvantage, people are going to see us as a threat’ even though it’s only one player. But, I think it ended up being an advantage,” Tay said.

“I think it was an advantage towards the middle and the end because we’re two different people,” Ari added. “We are sisters and we do think the same but we have two different personalities.

“I think we just reached out to everyone, Tay had friends that I didn’t have and it created different connections.”

The sisters are gearing up for a big weekend of celebrations

Tay and Ari are still in shock that they won Big Brother, and have a wild weekend planned with some of the other housemates to celebrate.

“It hasn’t kicked in for us yet, even now we’re we can’t believe we won! that’s hectic!” Tay said, and Ari added: “We’re very grateful for everyone who voted.”

“We’re definitely going to send it this weekend!” Tay said.

“We’re catching up with a few of the housemates so that will be awesome,” Ari added.

They’ll be joined at the celebrations by their showmance partners Josh and TJ. However, both of the sisters have since split from their exes.

“We’re both single and ready to mingle!” They laughed together.

Exclusive: Will Big Brother Australia return in 2024? Seven have given us an answer

Big Brother Australia 2023 wrapped on December 6 with Tay and Ari crowned the winners. But after a season that seemingly struggled to maintain viewership, will it return in 2024?

When the latest season premiered on November 6, 274,000 metro viewers tuned in to watch 19 brand new housemates enter the Big Brother house.

By the time streaming numbers had been added in, the number climbed to 620,000, which showed promise for an iteration about finding love in an unusual environment.

However, by the season finale, numbers were steadily on the decline with only 152,000 metro viewers tuning in for the final episode.

For context, last year, when the series took a gamble bringing back OG Housemates, 363,000 watched as Reggie Sorensen came out on top for the second time, meaning there was a 41% drop between the 2022 and 2023 finales.

Chattr reached out to Seven to ask whether the series would return.

Big Brother performed well for this year in under 40s and, in particular, on 7Plus – both live streaming and video on demand. We will make a decision on a new season in due course,” a Seven spokesperson said.

Social media fans want the OG format back

For those fans on social media who have been watching the series week-to-week, they have made their sentiments known when it came to the change in format. A.K.A Turning the social experiment into a love experiment.

“I’m not getting the same vibe so far,” one person wrote. “They could be about to lose some viewers.”

While another person said: “I lasted about 30 minutes and then turned it off. It is the first time ever that I have missed a Big Brother season.”

“Bring back the original version of Big Brother. It will be the best thing for your ratings,” another said.

Meanwhile, returnee Tim Dormer took to Facebook on November 6 to share his feelings before it even began.

“Big Brother was the original, but now seems lost in an era of trying to be liked and liked by everyone else,” he said. “Can we keep the Survivor challenges and the cringey love stories on the islands where they belong and bring back the OG real live era of BB?”

Here’s hoping BB doesn’t go in the bin completely and instead, we give the people what they want!

The Bachelors 2023: Meet Maddison — the bold woman who is stirring up trouble in the mansion

The Bachelors Australia 2023
‘s Maddison made a bold move during the December 7 episode of the series, turning up at Ben’s house to essentially make him doubt Brea’s intentions with Wes.

Admitting she did it to be noticed, and not caring about the fallout, Maddison got Ben’s attention while simultaneously creating some serious drama.

So, who is Maddison, the bold Bachelorette with nothing to lose?

Maddison, The Bachelors 2023. Ten

According to her official 10 bio, 24-year-old Maddison is a “no-nonsense straight talker who’s never afraid to voice her opinions and assert her worth.” Lol.

Exuding oodles of confidence, the Victorian is always the life of the party, always ready for a good time with her friends, and has a vibrant, infectious energy.

In terms of relationships, she’s looking for a man who possesses emotional intelligence, has good looks and “an alluring scent”.

When asked about dating IRL, Maddison is not backwards in coming forwards.

“Dating in the real world is tragic,” she said. “Guys my age usually don’t want anything serious. I think in the past I’ve scared people off as I’m very upfront and tend to ask the bigger questions that some people may be uncomfortable answering at this age.”

On a more serious note, Maddison said her proudest achievement was “overcoming an eating disorder and developing a healthy relationship with food”.

“During the process, I worked on myself a lot and have become very emotionally aware because of it,” she said.

Looks like Big Brother’s Loui has a new girlfriend and she’s basically Minee’s doppelganger

Loui’s relationship with Minee in the Big Brother Australia 2023 house has been one of the biggest rollercoasters of the season, and it looks as though it didn’t last after the house.

Loui has been tagged in an Instagram post by a blonde influencer called Isabella Skocic and the two look to be an item.

Isabella shared a video of her and Loui cuddling and kissing to her page two days ago, with the song Little Life by Cordelia added on top.

Just a week ago, she shared a collection of photos to her page, one showing them out to dinner together, and another showing him candidly walking down a path holding a bag.

Isabella has shared numerous photos of Loui over the past few weeks, including one of them together in Noosa, holding hands. She captioned the pic, “more than happy to be here”.

Meanwhile, Loui doesn’t have any photos of Isabella posted to his Instagram page, but he noticeably doesn’t have any of Minee either…

Are Loui and Minee still together on Big Brother?

They are! However, the series was filmed a year ago, and it looks like the BB power couple is no longer together.

Loui and Minee showed interest in each other at the start of Big Brother 2023 and quickly formed a relationship. However, Minee broke up with him partway through the season.

She and Gracie Mae were evicted from the house, but they received a second chance when they were sent to the half house. After living together for a while both contestants were asked to choose the housemate they trusted the most and Minee chose Loui.

Loui was given the choice to take $5,000 cash or let Minee return to the house, he chose the latter. Minee was ecstatic that Loui saved her, and they got back together.

Interview: Love Island’s Trent confesses the real reason there were condoms on the day bed

Trent delivered viewers a lot of interesting moments throughout Love Island Australia 2023, but perhaps the most talked about one was when he woke up next to Georgia on the day bed with a stash of condoms.

Georgia had been dilly-dallying between partnering up with Nate or Trent, and (temporarily) decided to sleep with Trent on the day bed.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted the connies next to Trent in the morning and proceeded to screenshot them and post the pics all over social media.

Love Island. Nine.

However, during a post-elimination interview with Chattr, the Islander revealed that it wasn’t him who grabbed the condoms and debunked comments that said the wrappers were opened.

“Everyone’s been calling me some absurd names for that! The fact is that we didn’t do anything sexually apart from kissing,” he said.

“The villa producers bring out condoms every time you sleep on a daybed just in case something happens so there’s nothing more than what you see, nothing that happened,” he explained.

Like hundreds of social media users, Trent joked about the amount of condoms he was given.

“There were like four or five there, so I think the villa producers thought I was an animal. I’m pretty happy that they thought I had that many rounds.”

Love Island. Nine.

Trent on why he thought Georgia was in the wrong for going back to Nate

After Trent and Georgia stayed the night on the day bed, she appeared to wake up in a state of panic and decided she wanted to couple up with Nate again.

Trent said that some scenes weren’t shown which led him to believe their connection was stronger than it was.

“I was putting a lot of work behind the scenes for nearly a week, I was throwing everything I had at Georgia. It was a hard situation because I wasn’t coupled up with her and she was coupled up with Nate” he said.

Love Island. Nine.

“I’ve never really had that where someone wakes up in the morning and goes, f**k this. I’m out. I’m going back to my ex,” he added.

Trent explained that he and Georgia spent a lot of time enjoying each other’s company before they went to sleep, and after they woke up.

“On the TV you didn’t see we were chatting for ages while we were on the daybed before we went to sleep and she was so happy and giggling and kissing me.”

“Even when sun just came out, we woke up pretty early. And she was kissing me and giggling and that and then it was like, something just clicked and it was a bit of a kick in the old fella for that to happen.”

Trent said that given the time they’d spent together in the lead-up to her decision to flip, he thought she could have handled the situation better.

“I don’t feel like Georgia had a good chat with me about how she’s feeling when she woke up. I think she owed me a proper chat and a bit of a debrief about exactly what happened.”

Interview: Big Brother’s Taylah thinks a very surprising housemate deserves to win

Taylah was shockingly eliminated on Big Brother 2023 by Loui because he believed Australia would find her most worthy of the prize money.

The 24-year-old made the brutal move to send home Taylah, who is a single mother because it was the ‘right decision’ for his game.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Taylah said that she was shocked at the elimination, but supported Loui’s strategic move.

Big Brother. Seven.

She went as far as to say that she believes that his cut-throat gameplay means he’s the most deserving housemate to win Big Brother 2023.

“He has definitely been the most strategic,” she said. “He was so strategic and so good at it, he should almost win based on that alone. He’s the one that has a game more than anyone has. Besides morals and everything, he’s the best.”

Taylah had no idea she was a fan favourite

Taylah’s down-to-earth personality and relatable sense of humour earned her a legion of fans on Big Brother 2023.

However, the 27-year-old said she was shocked when Loui told her that he believed she’d have a strong chance at winning the show when it came down to the public vote.

“That was the smartest decision that he could have made in the game,” she said. “I give him credit for that, he’s a strategic player and he followed that through to the end. Never once did I think that Australia would have voted for me to win. I didn’t think that I was a favourite or anything like that.”

Big Brother. Seven.

Taylah believes that all the finalists deserved to win in their own right, and said that just because she’s a single mum it doesn’t make her more worthy than the other housemates.

“All of them [deserve to win] in their own way. It’s hard reading the comments on Facebook, saying Taylor was the only one that deserved to win. I had two minutes of unprotected sex and all of a sudden I deserve to win the most?” She laughed.

The Big Brother Australia Grand Final airs Wednesday December 6th at 7:30 pm on 7 and 7Plus.

Interview: Love Island’s Trent and Zac have taken the next step in their bromance

Love Island Australia 2023 has delivered possibly the most chaotic (and toxic) bromance of the century between Zac Nunns a.k.a “Zacky Boy” and BFF Trent Woolman a.k.a “T-Dawg”.

During the December 5 episode, Trent was voted out by his fellow Islanders due to his inability to find a romantic connection while Zac sobbed uncontrollably in a corner over his best mate’s exit.

Speaking to Chattr before his elimination, Trent assured us that all is well between the pair, admitting that they now live together in Melbourne.

“It’s f–king amazing,” he said. “It’s so much fun!”

While it sounds like absolute debauchery, Trent also shared a funny anecdote about how his dad had asked him if he had found love in the Love Island Australia villa.

“I said, ‘Nah, I kind of did and I kind of didn’t’,” he joked. “And it’s with a boy if you don’t mind.”

The pair’s friendship has also not been lost on fans by way of comments on social media (that the boys read together in matching Bintang singlets no doubt) with Trent laughing about their ‘ship.

“Everyone wanted us to couple up and leave the villa,” he said, before revealing he was still single and that Zac was the “perfect wingman”.

“I’m not rushing into anything,” he said. “I’m having a hot boy’s summer, so I’m enjoying that and maybe I’ll settle down after that.”

Trent’s shocking response to being called “toxic”

While their bromance has potentially been the most solid relo to come out of the villa, the fact that they were branded “toxic” by Chloe Jackson was a fair assessment, according to Trent.

“I feel like you’ve just got to own it,” he said. “We know watching it back — we’re literally watching it together each night — looking back, you just kind of have to nod your head and own it. I guess there’s no way of getting around it because it’s pretty plain and simple when you watch it.”

While this shocking admission is actually very mature for two guys who shower naked with their fellow male islanders as a way of bonding, Trent added: “I feel like we were being ourselves and not everyone’s going to like that.”

trent and zac love island australia 2023

“There are probably some things I do regret,” he added. “Like, obviously, the way we approached Abby [Miller] is one of them, but I can’t say that I got a bad edit. I don’t think that Zac and I got a bad edit at all. It’s plain and simple. We did those things that we did.”

Speaking of Abby (whom Zac and Trent confronted accusing her of causing drama), Trent said that they had immediate remorse as soon as the events played out.

“As soon as Abby walked off crying, we thought, ‘Yeh, we’re f–king idiots and that was definitely not the right thing to do. When you think about it, you’ve got two guys approaching one girl and the way that we did approach her is not okay.”

Love Island’s Trent on his relo with Savannah

As for his s–ty behaviour towards Savannah Badger throughout his tenure, Trent said he didn’t think he was “doing the wrong thing”.

“After watching it back each night it’s like, ‘Well I really did look like a bit of a f–king idiot’,” he said. “But I don’t regret any of it because I knew at the time that Sav and I would be best friends on the outside.

“Everyone wants a best friend like Sav. She’s hilarious and so much fun.”

Admitting he knew there wasn’t a romantic connection, he also said: “I guess you could say I did lead her on.” Well, no s–t.

“I was telling Sav to go for new bombs and that we’re not going to force this. If it happens, it happens. You don’t really see all the conversations we had in the villa but what was shown, made me look like a bit of a d–khead.”

Interview: Will there be a Love Island Australia Casa Amor this season?

Seasoned Love Island fans know just how much drama Casa Amor can bring to the villa, however, some years the producers opt to give it a miss.

For the uninitiated, Casa Amor is an extra villa located by the main one, and either the group of boys or girls are snuck out into it to meet a bunch of new suitors. Meanwhile, the other OG group is left at their usual digs, and a group of tempters from the opposite sex is bought in.

It usually results in break up, cheating and absolute chaos.

While the concept is really common in the UK and US iterations of the show, Love Island Australia hasn’t had Casa Amor since 2021.

During an interview with Chattr, the show’s host Sophie Monk answered whether we can expect the twist on this season, and the answer is grim for Casa Amor lovers.

She confirmed Love Island 2023 won’t be having it but said this season “doesn’t need it”.

“You don’t miss it. I promise. There’s so much bloody drama, if you did that that’s almost mean. It’s just crazy,” she said.

Love Island. Nine.

How this season is different from previous seasons

Sophie Monk explained that Love Island Australia has changed since its inception in 2018.

“I think it’s grown a lot and I think the edit is a lot more honest. Not that it wasn’t honest before, but it was very clean and everyone came out looking amazing.

“I think it’s really important to put some of the [bad] bits in, because that’s what happens in real life. I also think it’s found its feet – season five is gonna kill it.

Serial home buyer Danny Wallis’ HUGE real estate move has everything to do with The Block

Once upon a time, Danny Wallis was The Block’s golden boy; after former contestants finished renovating their house, he’d often swoop in and buy an assortment of them for a cool few million dollars.

However, it appears that his days of buying The Block houses are over, largely thanks to a certain Victorian man.

While many may assume that man is Adrian Portelli – the billionaire who bought three of the four houses on auction this year – it’s actually Dan Andrews. Yep, the much-talked-about former Victorian premier.

The Block. Nine.

When Andrews was in office, he brought in a property tax which stipulates that Victorian homeowners must pay land tax on secondary properties valued at $50,000 and over. The current threshold is $300,000.

Wallis, being a serious property buyer, was unsurprisingly pissed about the new law.

“I’m saving on Daniel Andrew’s land tax, I’m going to sell because I’m sick of the land tax going up and up and up,” Wallis told Herald Sun. “I’m going to move all my investments out of Victoria.”

“It’s dumb there’s a rental crisis and I’ve got to sell when so many people are looking for homes,” he added.

“I know so many landlords who are selling because of the land tax.”

Dan Andrews. Facebook.

How many houses does Danny Wallis own?

It’s unclear exactly how many houses Wallis owns, and what their value is. However, he has bought 11 individual Block properties, totalling more than $30 million dollars.

In 2022 he bought Omar and Oz’s winning property for a whopping $5.586 million as well as Tom and Sarah-Jane’s home, and Rachel and Ryan’s.

In 2021 he had another triple buy, purchasing Mitch and Mark, Tanya and Vito and Kirsty Lee and Jesse’s.

While Danny attended the 2023 auction, he didn’t purchase a single house. Instead, Steph and Gian, Eliza and Liberty and Lesley and Kyle’s house were snapped up by the relatively new The Block buyer Adrian Portelli.

The Block. Nine.

Brett and Kristy’s house was sold to a Brighton couple who were represented by Judge Marty Fox’s uncle. Leah and Ash’s house was passed over at auction and is yet to sell.

Interview: Below Deck’s Tumi reveals whether she’d rather have Kyle or Natalya as second stew

Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew Tumi Mhlongo has some strong opinions about her cast-mates, and not all of them are favourable.

Previews suggest that Tumi and her stews, Kyle Viljoen and Natalya Scudder, will all come to blows this season. But, despite their heated arguments, Tumi believes that the two Below Deck Med alum are very similar.

“I just think it was just way too many big personalities on one boat. There’s no way we could do that in real life, we probably wouldn’t come out alive, to be honest,” she said during an interview on Mediaweek and Chattr’s The Entertainment Hotline Podcast.

“I think Natalia and Kyle are the same people truly in terms of big personalities and that’s why they fight the way that they do. Maybe their approach is different but they’re the same, in my opinion,” she added.

Below Deck Mediterranean. Hayu.

Would Tumi rather work with Kyle or Natalya?

Natalya started off the season as a temporary chief stew because Kyle and Tumi were stuck in immigration.

While it’s been established that Tumi will be chief when she arrives, Kyle and Natayla’s rank is TBD – which is especially interesting considering they were both joint stews in Below Deck Mediterranean season seven.

But, who would Tumi rather have as her 2IC?

“I’d have Kyle as second because he’s not passive-aggressive in the way that he communicates,” Tumi said.

Below Deck Mediterranean. Hayu.

“Natalya I would love to have a second if we could communicate effectively because I think that we would be great in terms of table decor, her passion and her work ethic. But, I felt like Kyle is just easier to manage. Even though he’s hyper-emotional, he’s much easier to manage [than Natalya].”

Stream Below Deck Meditteranean season 8 on Hayu. New episodes drop weekly on Wednesdays.

Interview: Big Brother’s Josh reveals if he and Tay are still together

Josh Everett and Tay Wilcoxson were undoubtedly the strongest couple on the newly reimagined Big Brother: House of Love Australia, but did their romance translate to the outside world?

In a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Josh revealed that while he and Tay tried to keep their romance alive outside the BB house, it didn’t last and they’re no longer together.

“We never made it official [in the house],” he explained. “We saw each other for four months after the house.”

Big Brother. Seven.

The model explained that prior to the show he’d recently moved from Perth to Sydney. He said that the change of pace paired with a reality TV stint and a budding new relationship was a lot to take on, and it eventually led to the breakdown of him and Tay.

“She lives in the Gold Coast and I live in Sydney. I was in Sydney for about a month before I went in the house. When we were seeing each other after the house, it was like this country boy moving into a hectic city. There was just so much to take on. I just needed to settle in.

“I travel all the time for work, we just never got the chance to see each other.”

Big Brother. Seven.

Josh and Tay are still on good terms

Despite no longer being together, Josh said that he and Tay don’t have any bad blood.

“We still get along like two peas in a pod,” he said.

The 28-year-old said that he’s flying to Queensland and has plans to catch up with sites Tay and Ari while he’s there.

“I’m actually flying to Gold Coast this weekend to catch up with TJ, and I’m catching up with the girls as well. We’re just going to go and have dinner and I’ll see how they are. I still love both the sisters.”

Big Brother. Seven.

Does Josh want Tay and Ari to win Big Brother?

Sisters Tay and Ari played the game as a team and the girls were one of Josh’s strongest alliances throughout the season.

Big Brother 2023 was filmed a year ago,s o Josh and Tay have been broken up for about eight months, however, they’re still in Josh’s top two picks to win the show.

“I’d want I want Loui or the sisters to win,” he said.

“Loui is one of my best friends now and I’m not seeing Tay anymore. So, I’ll go Loui first and then Ari and Tay in a straightaway second.”

Big Brother. Seven.

The Bachelors 2023’s Wes drops a MAHOOSIVE bombshell during a date with Brea

The Bachelors Australia 2023’s Wes Cortes has dropped a massive bombshell while on a date with Brea and let’s just say, we are v surprised.

After the weird AF underwater photoshoot, Wes invited Brea back to his Bach Pad where things took an unexpected turn.

After admitting that he had never had a girlfriend before, he said he had grown up with “Christian values” and didn’t want to be “another reason for girls not to trust men”.

“I never saw myself as being a one-night stand guy and as a matter of fact, I’ve never had sex,” he said.

“You’ve never had sex?” she asked, before saying: “Awwwwww!”

During a confessional, Brea said it was “very rare” to meet a 32-year-old who has “amazing qualities” and to be a virgin.

He then went on to say it was because of his religion and “values”.

“I hold onto them so strongly. Sex is potentially one of the most vulnerable things you can ever do with someone.”

Brea, a little shook, used the word “wow” approx. 1000 times before saying that she was “nervous” at the beginning of the date that he would try to progress too quickly, but now she was nervous that he wouldn’t “progress at all”.

“I still want to get to know you even more,” she told him.

Their date ended in a hug.

The rose ceremony note

Meanwhile, Holly — who has been torn between Ben and Wes (although she’s def more keen on Ben) — was given a rose by Wes.

After Angie had been sent home, Wes then slipped Holly a note.

“To the girl on the stairs…” she began, before an eff off huge “to be continued” played.

What was in the note? We’ll just have to wait and see…

Melissa Leong doesn’t look like this anymore! The Dessert Masters judge has a dramatic new look

Melissa Leong debuted a dramatic new look at the NGV Gala which apparently left more than a few people confused about who she was.

The Dessert Masters judge hit the red carpet with a new short blonde do – and shared pics of her hairstyle on Instagram.

“The vision for this year’s NGV gala: bigger, bolder, blonder. The transformation was epic. This whole incognito thing was a walk on the wild side!” She captioned the photo.

Melissa’s friend Samuel Gordon commented on the picture saying that he saw her, but didn’t recognise her, to which she responded: “So many double takes, I felt like I was at the supermarket!”

The TV host credited her transformation to hairdresser Ben Dniprowskij who explained how he created her new look.

“I used @mrsmithhair exclusively for Mel’s hair: Spray hair with sea salt spray, apply a generous amount of Foundation and serum while scrunching and let air dry. Finish off with Texturiser. (Pre styling I also used peach blonde to warm the colour up a bit),” he wrote on Instagram.

Melissa Leong’s new look got a lot of attention on social media

Mel’s followers were here for her new look and flooded the comments section of her Instagram with compliments.

“Stunning Mel! I love it all,” one wrote. Another commented: “Oh myyy! 😍 you look incredible!”

Dessert Masters contestants Anna Polyviou and Kirsten Tibballs both jumped in on the action too.

“Wow @bendniprowskij can I have a Mel please 🙏,” Kirsten wrote, while Anna posted five flame emojis.

What is the NGV Gala?

The NGV Gala has been dubbed Australia’s answer to the Met Gala. It’s a black-tie event that celebrates art, fashion, performance and fine food. It marks the opening of its blockbuster summer exhibition, the NGV Triennial 2023.

The event attracted some big names including Liam Hemsworth, Gabriella Brooks, Elvis star Olivia DeJonge, models Bambi Northwood-Blythe, Jessica Gomes, Charlee Fraser, and, of course, Melissa Leong.

It was held at the National Gallery of Victoria on Saturday, December 2nd.
