It’s episode 45 of The Block and time for the long-awaited backyard reveals. But before we see the landscaping, here’s what happened during the episode.
The Blockheads put in their final push during the last 24 hours before tools down was called by Scotty Cam, and the backyards are looking schmick.
Kyle and Leslie went hard this week and poured all of their money into their garden with the hope of scoring the $10,000 prize to use for their front yard. They had no backup plan for next week if they fell short.
Kristy and Brett had a huge blow up (shock, horror) with their landscaper Dan due to multiple mistakes on his end, including missing plant deliveries and poor-quality mulch. Tensions ran high, and it’s safe to say he won’t be returning next week.
In a first for The Block, Scotty had some special help in announcing “tool’s down.” Make A Wish, 10-year-old Jordy, who has muscular dystrophy, fulfilled his dream by calling “tool’s down” alongside Scotty.
It’s judging time, and Marty, Shaynna, and Darren are joined by Block landscaping royalty, Dave Franklin.
Room Reveals
Kyle and Leslie – $41,800
Despite their hard work – and massive gamble – the judges pointed out some significant issues in Kyle and Leslie’s yard.
Their main concern was the lack of child-friendliness in the garden, especially the pool, which they didn’t think was suitable for young children. They also said the area wasn’t maximised and there was a shortage of grassed areas.
Leah and Ash – $46,360
The judges loved Leah and Ash’s landscaping. They were particularly fond of the Plungie pool, which they felt was perfectly done. The BBQ area was also praised, with Dave Franklin noting its real sense of luxury.
They said the overall design was not only family-friendly but also highly marketable to buyers in Hampton East. Great work!
Kristy and Brett – $40,649
The judges initially gave positive feedback about the size of the pool, but their enthusiasm quickly faded. Dave Franklin expressed his dislike for the area, criticizing its design, choices, and execution.
Kristy and Brett agreed with him and said they were disappointed by their landscaper’s work.
Steph and Gian – $71,704
All four judges were blown away by Steph and Gian’s space. They said backyard truly made a statement.
Marty said he thinks that House No.4 will set a new record for house prices in Hampton East. They were impressed with all of Steph and Gian’s choices, from the plants and pool to the tiles.
Eliza and Liberty – $55,893
Despite being super confident with their backyard, Eliza and Liberty received pretty bad feedback. The judges were harsh and despised the concrete, deeming it unnecessary.
The furniture choice was heavily criticized, and Marty described the BBQ area as resembling a shed. The judges had no positive remarks.

Hearts of Survivor fans broke across the nation last night when King George Mladenov and his sister Pam were eliminated on the Amazing Race.
While some viewers may say it was a long time coming – they came last on the non-elimination round in episode three – George has said filming the show wasn’t as tough as his other TV stints.
The reality TV veteran told News.com.au that he believes he and Pam would have gotten further if the conditions were harder.
“Survivor is a long burn with no reprieve. The Amazing Race is about 12 hours of an explosion of stress – but the valve turns right off in between legs [of the game],” he said. “The difference between the two is that on Survivor the torment never ends, until your game does.
“There’s no hotel buffets, no shower or lounging by a pool like we had at pit stops. The tougher it got, the better we did – I wish it was harder.”
The Amazing Race. Ten.
George says he saved The Amazing Race
King George has never been one to be humble, and his trademark spirit shined through in the interview.
He said that he “felt the pressure of having to need to save one of the best shows in the reality TV format.”
“I knew why I was there – to make the more than one million Australians who watched Survivor every week also watch The Amazing Race Australia. The fact that the ratings have gone up year on year means it was a job well done,” he said.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Where did George come on Survivor Australia?
George calls himself the best strategic player in the world in the history of Survivor. He’s played the game for 92 collective days and was on two Australian seasons – Brains v Brawn and Heroes v Villains.
He was the runner-up on Brains v Brawn and came in fourth place on Heroes v Villains.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. on 10 and 10Play.
It’s episode six of The Amazing RaceAustralia 2023 and with one team on the chopping block, it’s a foot race to the finish line.
The remaining celebrity teams arrived in the lively capital of Penang aptly named George Town, it was safe to say that King George was excited about the location.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Although maybe he shouldn’t have been? Read on to find out how he fared in his namesake town.
Challenge and detours
Travelling by Trishaw, the teams had to choose between replicating a delicate dessert at a Michelin-recommended restaurant and trying the local delicacy, BUT they weren’t told exactly what was in the dish.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Unfortunately for Alli and Angie Simpson, Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan, Bec Judd and Kate Twigley and Jana and Corr Pittman they opted for the eating challenge. Upon arrival, they were presented with a positively huge axe tongue and… a ridiculously large, erm, bull’s penis that they had to consume.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
The task was a highly entertaining segment that showed pretty much all the celebrities taking turns to vomit in buckets while consuming the soup. At one point Corr even vomited on his mum’s head while she was mid-chunder.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Over at the other challenge, the rest of the celebrities carefully recreated a dessert platter. While the task was a lot less chaotic than the eating one, it was time-consuming – something the celebs paid for later.
Roadblock
After the first challenges, the teams made their way to Mr. Wong’s shoe store, where famous shoemaker Jimmy Choo began his craft.
Bec Judd, familiar with Jimmy Choo shoes, succeeded in her first attempt, while Harry Jowsey and Teddy Briggs had to retry after getting it wrong with Mr. Wong. This led them to fall to the bottom two.
While Pam was busy making shoes, George took the chance to strategize with Darren, although Darren rolled his eyes at George and reminded him they weren’t on Survivor.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
As the final two teams at the challenge, George and Pam, along with Harry and Teddy, hustled hard to avoid being last.
Challenge Two
Next, the teams had to use their observation skills to search for a unique lantern in a sea of thousands. Most teams quickly identified the word ‘dragon’ on one of the lanterns.
However, George and Pam neglected to notice that there was an upstairs level in the challenge, which contributed to their demise.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
The Pit Stop
The adrenaline rushed as the teams raced up Penang Hill towards the Pit Stop. In a dramatic finish, Jana and Cor reached the top first, with Angie and Alli just seconds behind them.
There was another footrace between George and Pam and Harry and Teddy for last place. Unfortunately for the Survivor alum and his sister, they were unable to beat the huge men in the final hike, and George and Pam were eliminated from the race.

All great reality TV shows have a villain, and it appears that Sam Fisher has adopted that role on Love Triangle.
However, Sam has revealed that he’s not happy about how he’s been presented on the Stan Original series.
“I think the edit might not be too kind to me in this show,” he toldYahoo Lifestyle Australia. “[But] you realise you can handle a lot more than what you expected you could.”
“I take it as it comes. I didn’t apply for this,” he added “They came to me. So whatever happens happens.”
Love Triangle. Stan.
Sam hammered home the fact that he didn’t apply for Love Triangle
Sam made it very clear that he was scouted to be on the show but said that his personality was represented correctly.
“Myself, I was offered an opportunity after not applying, I took the opportunity,” he said.
“At the end of the day, you have just got to be yourself in there. It probably plays right into a reality TV series hands [being yourself], but we’re all going to be irrelevant in 20 years!”
Love Triangle. Stan.
Sam teased that there’s a lot more drama to come
The auto-parts business owner teased an (actual) long triangle between him, his current partner Emily and a third party. Whether that’s his text-match that he hasn’t yet met or one of the contestants, we’ll just have to watch to find out!
“I think there’s a couple of shenanigans that go down that might not be favourable to my final edits,” he revealed.
“I think you’ve got to pick a lane and stick to it. That’s always been my mantra for anyone. You gotta make a call. So whether that gives anything away of how I approach my triangle I’m not sure… but, you know, triangles are inevitable.
It’s episode five of The Amazing RaceAustralia 2023 and the celebrities are NOT happy about their accommodation for the night: a beachfront campsite in beautiful Langkawi, Malaysia.
Well, most of the celebrities, anyway. King George Mladenov was excited about going back to his Survivor roots and sleeping amongst the elements.
Here’s what happened on The Amazing Race Australia episode five.
Challenge and detours
The last stop was a virtual pitstop, so the celebrities carried on racing without a break. Their first challenge on this leg was to catch five crabs at a crab farm.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan passed the task quickly and caught five crabs in one crab net. They were closely followed by Jana and Cor Pittman.
Despite bragging about their crabbing experience, Bec Judd and Kate Twigley took a while to catch their five crabs, and George and Pam were out of luck and quickly fell to last place again.
After the celebrities had successfully caught their crabs and had them checked that they were big enough, they were sent to Cenang Beach to sell them for at least 100 Ringgit, which is approximately $32 AUD.
Darren and Tristan breezed through the task and sold theirs to a tourist on the beach. Jana and Cor tried to do the same, even though Cor was convinced that they should head to a restaurant. When the beach plan didn’t work Jana finally followed her son’s advice and they quickly sold the crabs.
Meanwhile, Emma and Hayley Watkins used their musical skills to secure their sale. After dancing for a restaurant vendor, their crabs were quickly snapped up.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Ben and Jackie Gillies weren’t as lucky as the girls and struggled to sell their crabs, which threw the former Real Housewives of Melbourne star into a state of panic.
However, after begging multiple people on the beach to buy their crabs they finally made the sale.
Once they’d completed the crab challenge, the celebrities were informed that their abode for the night would be basic tents on the beach. Unfortunately for Harry Jowsey and Teddy Briggs, they didn’t even fit inside the tents.
“I’d stay at my parent’s house over this,” Teddy said.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
Jackie and Ben, on the other hand, took the moment to appreciate how lucky they felt to be able to experience the beauty of Malaysia.
Challenge Two
After a terrible night of sleep, the contestants jumped on a plane to the nearby island of Penang. Here, they were informed that they had a detour and could either fold bird-shaped origami or use logic to solve a mahjong-themed puzzle.
The puzzle challenge saw Cor and Jana cruise through thanks to the Olympian’s experience with the game, however, Jackie and Ben fell behind and became frustrated again.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
The Pit Stop
Alli and Angie Simpson were the first to hit the mat just seconds before Jana and Corr, and they took out their first win and a luxury hotel upgrade.
George and Pam clawed their way back from the bottom with an impressive fourth place. Unfortunately for Jackie and Ben, they were the last ones to the mat and were eliminated from the race.
The Amazing Race. Ten.
The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition airs on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on 10 and 10Play.
It’s episode 44 of The Block 2023 and the fallout has begun from Leah and Lesley’s battle over the Block Bucks.
ICYMI, you should probably check out the d-r-a-m-a here and here, but if you don’t have the time, here’s a refresher.
Leah and Ash questioned Lesley and Kyle’s integrity when they basically accused their landscaper Troy of providing free work. Leah and Ash confronted Troy, Lesley and Kyle and asked to see their books, which they didn’t agree to.
Upset by the situation, Lesley took back the Camrich Block Bucks she’d swapped with Leah without telling her. Leah had her heart set on a day bed and some other furniture from the brand.
Although Lesley hasn’t told Leah that she’d cancelled her deal, she has told all the other contestants, who sat around and gossiped about it at her and Kyle’s house.
The Block. Nine.
Shortly after, Leah got the dreaded call from Camrich. “I don’t think people know how to do deals around here. When a deal is done, it’s kinda done,” she told a producer.
Leah lost it because the Room Reveals were just days away, and she had no furniture. She rummaged through rooms trying to find things to return.
The Block. Nine.
Meanwhile, the backyards were taking shape and Scotty Cam and Shelley Craft did the rounds and checked them out.
Shelley wasn’t sure about Kyle and Lesley’s shower-like water feature in the pool. “I’m not a fan, but I’m not a judge,” she told the couple.
Scotty loved the pealescent green tile Leah and Ash used on their above-ground pool.
The Block. Nine.
After checking out the houses, Scotty and Shelley did another lap, this time to give each team a gift of $5,000 from their sponsor Weber.
This development meant that Leah could now afford her very expensive day bed and the rest of her Camrich order, and her week was *officially made*.

She’s done a great busting out some of the best female power ballads in history on The Masked Singer Australia 2023, but who is behind the Cowgirl mask?
Most fans are in two minds when it comes to Cowgirl’s identity – and both are big Aussie names.
Read on to find out who Cowgirl could be!
The Masked Singer. Ten.
Who do fans think it is?
Social media users seem to be split between Courtney Act and Domenica Calarco from MAFS, with the odds skewed slightly in the drag queen’s favour.
“1000% Courtney Act! This song had notes that reminded me of her solo from the Rusical on [RuPaul’s] Drag Race [season] 6 when she was Good Penn,” one person wrote.
Another commented, “Clues definitely match to Domenica Calarco.”
Jessica Origliasso, Kimbra, Pamela Anderson and Shania Twain.

Cowgirl’s clues so far
Episode One
The one thing everyone believes about cows is that we’re vegan – you’d think we’d leave certain foods untouched. Course, what you might not know about a Cow Girl is that we don’t like staying in one place, even when young. Obviously, I’m not in the same place I was born. Do I have a favourite location? Anywhere free! You know, pro bono! There anything else you need to know about me? Only that you don’t have to come first, but it’s nice when you do!
Episode Three
Cow Girl is really milking some of these clues, and we think she might be trying to lead us down the garden path. Once again Cow Girl made a few references to spices, this time Ground Ginger, but Mel B wasn’t sold on it being one of her former bandmates. And that wouldn’t explain why Cow Girl was also seen holding a picture of cricketer Ian Healy.
Episode Five
Last time I put on a bloomin’ brilliant performance, the panel had a field day with their guesses.
I haven’t always wanted to be a Cow Girl, in a dream I would be a doctor. From an early age a Cow Girl wants to escape. Of course life doesn’t go where you want it to. I fell about 400 meters short. Never mind, that doesn’t mean you should be agro. Okay, I’m the first to say I’m no lady, but I’m no mean girl either, it’s the other girls who were mean to me on screen. I’m just happy to be who I am, and anyone else I choose to be.
Bouncer has impressed the judges and fans alike on The Masked Singer 2023, but who is performing behind the big kangaroo ears?
Well, while Bouncer’s still in the competition – so his identity hasn’t been officially revealed yet – we’ve got some idea of who it may be.
Read on to find out!
Who do fans think it is?
Out of the remaining contestants, the identity of Bouncer is the one that social media users have almost unanimously agreed on.
“He’ll be last unmasked, it’s Conrad Sewell,” wrote one person on Instagram.
Another commented, “I’m on the Conrad train too! Just saw a promo and was like it’s his voice.”
The judge’s guesses so far
Episode Two
Luke Hemmings, Ryan Corr, Khanh Ong and Nick Lachey.
Episode Four

Bouncer’s clues so far
Episode Two
Where I come from it’s hot, almost 100 in the old money and everything I’ve got is from the sweat of my brow. You know, being a big red – well that’s in my DNA, you’ve got no choice but to be what you’ll be from a young age. But that’s alright, I’m a glass half-full roo. After all, we’ve all got our demons and angels. But if you believe in the higher power you’re going to be okay. Well, it’s getting late, almost midnight, another long but ordinary day for this roo. Time to close the door.
Episode Four
Last time I leapt into gear and kept the panellists on their toes. Now, I’m ready to bounce back. Watch me give this competition a real kick!
This Bouncer gets around, in fact, you can find roos like me from the forest to the lakes. Even the city of angels! Or at this bowlo. Hey, it’s better than working in a hotel. Let me tell ya, it’s not natural to sleepwalk through life so don’t even think about holding me up. To do what I do you’ve got to be tough, let me give you a demo! As things keep changing, you’ve got to stay relevant. That’s life. I believe in doing things the right way. That’s how this big boomer was raised.
In my last performance my song was just like me: a loved Australian classic and it kept the panel jumping from one conclusion to another. Now watch me give this competition a real kick!
Episode Six
You’ll have to forgive my attitude but I’ve really owned this game, it’s a gift! It requires patience but I’ve got plenty of that. Now don’t you go tripping and say I’m cartoonish, that’s all in the past. I’m as big and real as life, so bad as you think you are I’ve got the big guy on my side. You know, what I do is my everything. It’s not like I could be a hairdresser or something. Ridiculous!
The Masked Singer Australia continues on Monday at 7.30pm on 10 and 10Play.
The scandals keep coming on The Block 2023, and the latest is certainly spicy.
According to Yahoo Lifestyle, Andy Lee – of the popular radio duo Hamish and Andy – is said to be interested in buying Eliza and Liberty’s The Block house.
Avid fans of the show probably already know that Eliza Pacshke worked as an assistant for Hamish and Andy Lee for ten years, so his appearance at The Block open day certainly piqued some attention.
Andy Lee. Instagram.
Apparently, Andy Lee “looked happy to be there and was actively checking out” Eliza and her sister Liberty’s house.
The source added that Andy Lee may even want to make a bid on the abode.
“The reserve prices are currently being discussed and it wouldn’t be unreasonable for Andy to snap up one of the houses on the street. Wouldn’t that be a positive and fun way to tie up the season,” they said.
Andy rocked up to the inspections in the middle afternoon and attempted to disguise his famous face with a baseball cap.
“He seemed quite surprised at how well the girls had gone and was incredibly supportive,” the insider added.
The Block. Nine.
When did Eliza work for Hamish and Andy Lee?
Eliza quit her job in radio prior to appearing on The Block 2023. She studied journalism at university and began working in radio shortly after. She was a personal assistant for Hamish Blake and Andy Lee for just over 10 years.
She has appeared in a number of short videos by the radio hosts, including the duo’s popular ‘Jurassic Carpark’ prank vid.
Kristy and Brett believe that Eliza went on The Block to get a radio deal
Earlier this month, viewers watched a vicious battle between Kristy and Brett and Eliza and Liberty play out on their screens.
Shortly after the episode aired, Eliza took a swipe back during an appearance on Hit Network’s Fifi, Fev & Nick in which she insinuated that Brett and Kristy are villains in real life.
The Block. Nine.
“I don’t know why Eliza is on the smear campaign now, not sure what she’s on about,” Brett said during an interview on Hit Breakfast with Maz and Matty.
“Maybe she’s got her own issues that she’s trying to cover up or something but yeah, certainly chucking out allegations like, ‘making people cry,’ the production and crew know what happened,” he added.
Kristy interrupted: “Maybe she’s trying to get a radio deal.”
The Block airs on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and continues on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 9 and 9Now.

It’s episode 43 of The Block 2023 and Leah and Ash couldn’t comprehend how Kyle and Leslie were affording all the workers on site.
Kristy agreed with Leah but didn’t want to get involved in the confrontation (for once!). However, Kristy wasn’t shy about shading Leah and Ash by putting up her back fence in order to restrict access for their tradies. Seems like someone’s still a little bitter!
The Block. Nine.
Leah was still desperately chasing some Block Bucks at Camerich so that she could get a $11,500 daybed and some other outdoor furniture she had her heart set on. So, when it was announced the Blockheads could do a trade session, she was delighted.
During the session, Leah exchanged $7,500 of Freedom Block Bucks with Leslie for Camerich furniture. She also pulled off some other smaller deals and managed to get enough for her order.
The Block. Nine.
Meanwhile, Gian joined Steph for a day of shopping for their backyard and they took a break from The Block to grieve the loss of both of their grandfathers.
The Block. Nine.
Meanwhile, back at the Block a major blow-up was going down. Leah and Ash confronted Kyle, Leslie, and their landscaper, Troy Lovett, over suspicions of unfair play with their budget. They believed that Troy was paying some of his own money towards the backyard in exchange for the exposure he’d get on the popular TV show.
Troy repeatedly stated that he didn’t need to show Leah and Ash where the money went and they eventually left, but not before telling Leslie and Ash that they wanted an audit.
The Block. Nine.
Leslie stated that in order for a team to get an audit done, there must be a majority vote from the rest of the contestants. She said doesn’t believe Leah and Ash with get the vote. However, she was visibly offended that her neighbours were repeatedly questioning her and Kyle’s integrity.
The Block. Nine.
Leslie was absolutely fuming about the confrontation and decided to renege on her deal with Leah for the Camerich Block Bucks. She got peak revenge when she didn’t even bother to inform Leah that she’d cancelled the deal.

It’s episode five of SAS Australia 2023 and Abbey Holmes has escaped death after a near-miss cliff fall.
CONTENT WARNING: This article references self-harm and may be triggering to some readers.
It’s the halfway point, and the nine remaining recruits have bonded; however, their trust in each other is tested with a suburban warfare drone task.
In teams of two – a drone operator as the eyes in the sky and the other, a lone ground soldier – the teams work to navigate a series of buildings and exfiltrate to safety. Heartraising stuff!
Given his reckless behaviour during the task and questionable attitude, the DS summon Olympic diver Mathew Mitcham to the mirror room.
Ant Middleton and Matthew Mitcham. Seven
Matthew Mitcham’s Interrogation
During questioning, Matthew shared the torment of his drug addiction, his low self-esteem and how he used self-harm as a coping mechanism.
“When I got overwhelmed with feelings that I couldn’t keep on the inside, I used to cut myself out of anger. Because I felt like then the problem was dealt with, it was some sort of release for me;” he said in a heartbreaking admission.
“And after one particular episode, I went far too far, and I, I had to call my grandma to take me to hospital.”
Further, he said that diving gave him a sense of self-worth.
“It was my ticket to being special, basically, because I knew I could do it really well. And that’s all I kind of wanted.”
Matthew Mitcham. Seven
The Second Task
During the second task of the day, the recruits were paired up, with one person rappelling down a mountainous cliff face while the other had full control of the rope to break their teammate’s free fall.
Breaking too late and with no control of Abbey’s free fall, international rugby star Mahalia needed DS Jay to step in, saving Abbey from hitting the ground.
Shaken by the experience, Mahalia was called in to talk with the DS, where she opened up about the accident that put her mother in the hospital for over a year.
Mahalia’s Interrogation
“She’s still with us gratefully. But she did die three times on the table. She spent a year and a half in hospital,” she said.
Mahalia then said that her sister had to step up to take “responsibility” for the family.
“My sister had to take responsibility, but she was going through that phase where, because she didn’t have a figure around her to lead, she kind of just took the wrong path, got involved in drugs.”
Ant Middleton and Mahalia. Seven
Then, tragedy called on the family once more when her older sister passed after suffering a heart attack.
“To lose my sister when I was 13 had a massive impact on my family, again experiencing grief at a young age. I went into a shell and isolated myself from everyone. It was painful. The fact that I will never see her or hear her voice again give her one more cuddle, really hurts.”
Anthony Mundine VWs
After five gruelling days, Anthony “The Man” Mundine handed in his number to the DS.
“Walking away, I feel great. I feel that I’ve changed, and something has pushed me out of my comfort zone,” he said.
“Doing a task, even though I didn’t pass a lot of them, I actually learned there are certain things for certain people. So, I’m like one of the best athletes ever. I didn’t say I was the best SAS fella; I just came to enjoy the experience. I made it halfway through and I’m grateful for that.”

Controversial MAFS bride Bronte Schofield has revealed that she gave her sister Kirra some reality TV tips ahead of her time on Love Island Australia.
ICYMI, Kirra became somewhat of a fan favourite after she basically torched Bronte’s MAFS husbandHarrison Boon over his treatment of her sister.
For the best part of this year, fans have been pleading for Kirra to be on Love Island, and their wishes have been granted.
“Her [Kirra] and Abby. So, her and old mate’s [Harrison Boon] secret girlfriend [Abby Miller] is also on there,” Bronte said during an appearance on the Tosser podcast with Ollie Skelton.
Abby wasn’t listed in the original cast list, so it’s likely that she’ll be entering the villa as a bombshell.
Bronte Schofield. Instagram.
What advice did Bronte give Kirra?
Bronte took part in Channel 9’s biggest reality TV show, so it’s safe to say that she knows a thing or two about the gig.
Bronte revealed that she warned Kirra about producer manipulation before her sister headed off to film Love Island Australia.
“I think the biggest thing I got told by so many people that don’t trust – and I mean this so respectfully – but don’t trust production. They’re going to ask you questions in the hope that you answer in a specific way to meet the storyline.
Bronte said that she was worried when Kirra bonded with her producer.
“Kirra was like, ‘Oh wow my producer is so nice, she’s lovely’. I was like, ‘Yeah they all are, mate. They’ve got a job to do’. So, I just told her to trust her gut.
“When you’re in that environment you don’t know what’s real and what’s not, it’s hard to decipher. I just said [to Kirra] ‘when your gut tells you something is off, you need to believe it.'”

Would Bronte go on Love Island?
While Bronte didn’t completely rule out going on reality TV again, she did scoff at the idea of being an Islander.
“I’m too old to go on Love Island,” she laughed. “I’m 30 in a month!”
Love Island Australia premieres on October 30 at 6pm AEDT on 9Now.
It’s episode four of SAS Australia 2023 and Olympic champion Stephanie Rice faced heartbreak when a medical withdrawal ended her time early as a recruit.
Meanwhile, Peter Bol, an Olympic runner, opened up about the traumatic experience of false accusations regarding blood doping.
DS Ant Middleton made the tough call of medically withdrawing Stephanie, recognizing her resilience by dismissing her from the course with her #11 armband—a first in SAS Australia history.
SAS Australia. Seven.
As the fifth recruit to exit, Stephanie broke down in tears, saying she wished she’d had more time on the course but adding that she was proud of her performance.
“I just felt like I could’ve kept going. Like, I don’t feel like I’ve learnt [enough] about myself,” she said. “But being able to leave with my number feels special. I’m really proud of that.
“I think the lesson for me is knowing that there will be more opportunities and be okay with this moment right here, right now.”
In their first task of the day, the recruits were divided into two teams: Team Alpha, which was led by Zima Anderson, and Team Bravo, led by Abbey Holmes.
Their goal was to free a vehicle that was loaded with survival equipment. As part of the task, both teams were then ambushed by the Jordanian Royal Air and Armed Force.
SAS Australia. Seven.
Peter, Matthew Mitcham, Tim Robards, and Dr. Craig Challen were the only recruits who successfully passed the task by evading capture.
Impressed by Peter’s strength and resourcefulness in the task, the DS requested a meeting in the mirror room to learn more about him.
The Olympic runner opened up about his journey of coming to Australia from a war-torn Sudan through Egypt. He described the heartbreak and injustice of falsely being accused of taking performance-enhancing drugs.
“I knew sport would finish eventually. I couldn’t care less. But your integrity tested is a different story. When the news did come out that the A sample didn’t match the B, I didn’t know how to react. I wasn’t excited.”
SAS Australia. Seven.
“Like, I wasn’t going to celebrate my own innocence. I was more angry and disappointed in how I was treated by the people who are supposed to look out for you.”
“But I figured I can’t focus on that. I might as well go and break a few more records. People are always gonna question your innocence. You still Google my name and there’s more articles about drug allegations than anything about Tokyo.
“So that’s gonna be there for life. There’s always gonna be a cloud over your head. But you have to keep pushing and stay strong when you need to as well.”
It’s episode 42 of The Block 2023 and we’re finally at backyard week, or in Kristy and Brett’s case, their front yard?
Anyway, Brett had finally ditched his Mustang campaign, so he and Kristy were up to do their pool area at the same time as the rest of the contestants.
But, before they got started on their backyards, the contestants checked out their competitor’s rooms.
All the Blockheads were shocked at Kristy and Brett’s rooms, and couldn’t believe that they didn’t get around to doing the finishes on the room they did finish.
The Block. Nine.
As for this week’s renovations, Lesley and Kyle secured Troy Lovett, the landscaper who famously won the week on The Block 2022 with Tom and Sarah Jane.
They were ready to throw everything that they had at the build, which wasn’t actually a lot compared to the other houses.
Kyle and Lesley had previously negotiated a deal for Troy to do their yard for the fixed price of $40,000. However, Leah was VERY concerned that the work being done would cost a lot more, and made her opinion known.
The Block. Nine.
Meanwhile, Steph offered Leah her credit at Camerich, which she assumed was about $5,500. But, when Leah arrived at the shop and picked out what she wanted, she was told there was actually over $15,000 left in Steph’s account.
Upon learning the news, Steph reneged on her offer, and Leah wasn’t happy about it.
The Block. Nine.
On a happier note, Eliza and Liberty headed off on their reward for winning the redo room week, which was a stay at the five-star Melbourne hotel, The Langham.
Liberty was over the moon about the “crisp clean sheets”, explaining that she and Eliza hadn’t washed theirs in three months. Eesh.
The Block. Nine.
The girls were also treated to a spot of shopping with Scotty Cam, Pretty Woman style, and secured some outfits.
Steph was away for the day as she headed off to go to her grandfather’s funeral. Just as she was about to return home, Gian received the devastating news that his grandfather had passed away too.
The Block. Nine.
The Blockheads had a sweet moment where they consoled Gian in bed and the episode finished with an adorable photo of his grandad at their wedding.

Clues: Everybody loves a burger. Tasty, with an aroma you could bottle! And when it comes to fast food, you know I’m the victorious one. I’m so proud to be a burger and I’ve witnessed some amazing things. Of course, my mother was very driven. You would know Dad if you kept up with my life or reality shows.
Or you can ask my grandfather or nephew. For them, the burger is the royalty of food and they both have principles. Now I hear some people play with their food, but I’m nobody’s toy. Well, except for that one time ha ha ha. So how do you like your burger? With a hot potato? Or like me, with ten ingredients!
Song:Call Me Maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen
Guesses: Bo Derek, Paris Hilton, Jojo Siwa, Kyle Richards
Snow Fox
Clues:
Last time around I froze out the competition and left the panel lost in the woods. This Fox is going to blow your socks off.
I’m Snow Fox, so I guess I’m a predator, but there’s no way you’ll find me dancing with the devil. I’m not that naughty. Making a living as a Snow Fox can be dangerous. Trolls always looking to shut me down. Don’t worry what other people say, it’s just jealousy. You know, even the greatest moments don’t come easily. The hunt can be difficult and the winters long, so, for me, it’s important to have faith in what you do!
Song:Alone – Heart
Guesses: Anna Kendrick, Demi Lovato, Tina Arena, Jenny Berggren
Bouncer
Bouncer. Ten
Clues: In my last performance my song was just like me: a loved Australian classic and it kept the panel jumping from one conclusion to another. Now watch me give this competition a real kick!
Ridiculous!
Song:If I Can’t Have You – Shawn Mendes
Guesses: Peter Andre, Joey Fatone, Nick Jonas, Anthony Callea
The Masked Singer Australia continues Monday at 7.30pm on 10 And 10 Play.
The biggest names on SAS Australia have been known to rake in a lot of money for their time on the show. However, that apparently wasn’t the cast for convicted drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury.
Initial reports suggested that Sainsbury was paid more than other cast members for her part on SAS Australia, but a “well-placed media source” has debunked that.
“The network didn’t have to pay more as everyone knew Cassie needed the show more than the show needed her,” the source told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.
SAS Australia. Seven.
“Since her initial tell-all chats when she returned to Australia, the offers have dried up and she’s struggled finding work. This was her one opportunity to show Australia the real her and hopefully move on with her life.”
How much was she paid?
The source said that Sainsbury’s paycheck for the gig was $40,000, which is slightly higher than the rumoured average of $30,000 per contestant.
How far did Cassie Sainsbury get on SAS Australia?
Despite being one of the main drawcards for SAS Australia 2023, Sainsbury voluntarily withdrew in. the second episode.
“It is probably one of the first times in a long time that I feel proud of myself in the sense of facing everything I didn’t ever want to see again,” Sainsbury said in her exit interview.
“When I leave the SAS course ‘Cocaine Cassie’ dies there. That’s it. She doesn’t follow me around anymore.”
SAS Australia. Seven.
