Love Island AU 2023 Recap Episode 8: A fave couple is headed for donezo and an Islander is dumped

It’s episode eight of Love Island Australia 2023 and tooooonight it’s a villa divided as our fave couple is put in jeopardy and all the drama is for naught as one featured Islander is dumped from the villa.

Here’s what happened…

In case you missed it, Hurricane Abby caused a stir during episode seven when she spilled the tea to Lucinda about Kiwi Ken Zac’s potential interest in her social media following. She also let Savanah a.k.a Sav know that T-Dawg Trent’s interest in her was fading. Drama alert!

We begin with the aftermath of Kiwi Ken and T-Dawg’s confrontation.

Nate follows Hurricane Abby to the bedroom, telling the boys it’s “not right” and Kiwi Ken doubles down in front of “This Guy šŸ™„” Reid and Pete Gunn Kelly Kale.

Lucinda and Kirra try calming Abby down, telling Nate to stay out of it.

Hurricane Abby. Nine

Meanwhile, outside, Tia and Nate go head-to-head over how the situation was handled.

“You just need to be careful what you say in here, mate,” she tells him.

Nate tells the group that he hates how the girls “have each other’s back”, saying they shouldn’t have let “two boys attack her like that”

Nate goes into the bedroom to comfort Hurricane Abby. He tells her that he shouldn’t worry about their opinion.

“I’ve drank too much water because the tears won’t stop,” Abby says.

Voiceover Eoghan: “By that logic, does it mean the boys have drunk too much testosterone?” LOL!

The boys apologise and cracks form in Tia and Nate’s relationship

Lucinda and Kiwi Ken debrief and she tells him she just wanted to be comforted, not have him and his apprentice attack Hurricane Abby.

To their credit, the boys head to the bedroom to apologise to Abby.

Tia and Nate then sit down to talk about the situation.

Tia doesn’t like the way Nate handled the situation and she reveals she’s the type of girl to “stay out of the drama”.

“I’m not going to rescue you at the end of the day, especially if you’re not my friend,” Tia says. Ouch.

During a confessional, Tia says: “You don’t need a pat on the back for something you wanted to do, Nate.”

“She’s not my friend, bro.” Tia. Nine

After Hurricane Abby had simmered down, “This Guy šŸ™„” Reid checks to see if she’s OK.

Abby defends herself yet again, telling Reid that she was just giving Lucinda her “opinion”. Anyway, they then have a pointless conversation about how big the moon is and a stray cat is like WTAF?!

(For the record, the Moon is about one-quarter the size of Earth….)

Cat be like: QuƩ?!

The Hideaway is officially open

Thankfully, their intelligent conversation is interrupted by “I’VE GOT A TEXXXXXXT”, courtesy of Sav.

In exciting news, the Hideaway is now officially open and the crew decide to send Ben and Tyra ā€” who actually seem like the only couple in the villa, not at breaking point.

“I think it’ll be amazing for them to have some time away, they’ll be able to have one-on-one chats and maybe do some naughty things,” Kirra says.

During their stay, both Ben and Tyra “connect on a deeper level”, their once rollercoaster relo now smooth sailing.

Ben and Tyra snuggling in the Hideaway. Nine

“I’m on top of the world,” Tyra says before later telling the girls that everything was strictly PG.

Meanwhile, back in the villa, Lucinda whispers to Kiwi Ken: “I think I’m falling for you.” Cute!

The next day, Lucinda tells Hurricane Abby, she shouldn’t shut things down with Nate, considering he and Tia are officially headed for donezo.

As for Lucinda’s own relo, Kiwi Ken organises a cheese platter for them on the balcony, complete with shirtless waiters and bad Spanish.

Kiwi Ken and Lucinda. Nine

Nate and Tia…hate each other

Following Kiwi Ken’s lead, Nate decides to sit down for a picnic with Tia.

While it starts off OK, Tia can’t understand why Nate had to involve himself in the Hurricane Abby/Kiwi Ken/T-Dawg great confrontation of 2023.

“I’m not mad at you,” she tells him, before seemingly being mad with him.

“I think you and I have two different scopes on situations,” he tells her and she agrees, before telling the others their date was dying a slow death.

When talking to PGK later on, Nate admits that if there was a recoupling tonight, he wouldn’t pick her. Ouch!

A Recoupling Ceremony and one Islander is dumped

Unfortunately, the joke was on Nate because later, Sophie Monk arrives to surprise the Villa with a Recoupling Ceremony.

First off, being the latest addition to the island, Abby gets her pick of da boiz.

“I would like to Couple Up with this boy because we have had good chats so far, I would really like to get to know him a bit better and every time I see him I do smile,” she said, before choosing “This Guy šŸ™„” Reid.

After the announcement, Kirra is unbothered by the choice and delivers possibly the best line ever. “She stole my problem, not my man.” YESSSS, KIRRA!!

“I need that on a t-shirt,” Sophie says.

KWEEN! Nine

Following this, four other pairs were cemented.

  • T-Dawg and Sav
  • Kiwi Ken and Lucinda
  • PGK and Nakia
  • Tyra and Ben

Finally, Nate is left with the decision to choose between Kirra and Tia.

He is torn, but ultimately chooses to keep Tia and Kirra is Dumped from le villa… after ALL THAT!!

“A lot has been running through my head. Kirra has been awesome to me, she’s been the one that asked me how I’m feeling and genuinely cares and I’ve loved seeing her in the Villa every single day,” he said. “It’s going to be tough.”

He then tells Kirra he almost chose her before he says goodbye.

The aftermath of this will be interesting!

“I’m scared”: Before his death, Johnny Ruffo revealed his biggest fear about dying

Before his death on November 11, Johnny Ruffo revealed his biggest fear about dying in his memoir No Finish Line.

The Australian actor and singer, who passed away at age 35 after a long battle with brain cancer, admitted that he was frightened he would be alone when the time came.

“Iā€™m scared for my brother, my mum, dad and Tahnee [Sims] that they wonā€™t be here with me [when I die],” he penned. “There is no way my family will all be here.”

“The likelihood of that is (slim). It would be ideal if everyone was there – not for my sake, but theirs.”

Luckily, the former Home and Away actor was surrounded by his family and friends, which was revealed in an Instagram post announcing his death.

“It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny,” it read. “Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible nurses and doctors.”

Ruffo first revealed his diagnosis in August 2017 revealing he had undergone surgery for a brain tumour.

After this, he was diagnosed with brain cancer and started treatment, updating his fans along the way.

In 2019, he was declared cancer-free; however, in August 2022, it was revealed that it had returned and was now terminal.

ā€œIā€™m still doing chemotherapy and still battling along, just one foot in front of the other, one step at a time,ā€ he told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time. ā€œIt is a challenge.”

Abbie Chatfield announces “sick obsession” with brand-new gig and it’s random AF

Media personality Abbie Chatfield has announced a brand-new gig and it’s very different from her usual foray in TV and radio.

After visiting the Northern Territory in 2021, Chatfield developed a “sick obsession” which has led her to become the Chief Sensory Officer for summer in the NT.

ā€œI actually love the NT ā€” itā€™s quite sick my obsession with it,ā€ she told News.com.au in an interview, announcing the news. ā€œWhen I got this new role and I got to go back again, it was so just amazing.”

Abbie Chatfield. NT Tourism

Chatfield, who left her popular radio show, Hot Nights with Abbie with SCA in 2023 added that she needed “to put my energy into projects that bring me joy and that energise me, rather than draining me.”

As part of the new project, she is fronting ChatNT ā€“ an Aussie travel industry-first AI innovation that interacts with Abbieā€™s tone of voice and phrasing.

Touted as an “AI travel expert with a twist”, it acts as a hyper-personalised inspiration and advice for planning the ultimate summer holiday.

Abbie’s Insta announcement

On November 12, Chatfield announced the “thrilling” news.

“Wow, I have THRILLING news!! FINALLY, I can brag about my recent trip!!!,” her post began. “Killed me to not upload these pics when we took them. I have joined forces with @NTAustralia and been appointed their new super important, super official and SUPER corporate ā€˜Chief Sensory Officer for Summer in the Northern Territoryā€™. I have a desk and a headset ready to go.

“In my new role, I will help you connect with your senses and experience how summer can be done differently in the NT. But thatā€™s not all, Iā€™ve also been working on a super fun Australian first AI tool called ChatNT (lmao get it, CHAT NT) where you can chat with me about all things summer in the NT! The future is now etc. [sic]

Abbie Chatfield’s radio exit

Speaking on Network 10ā€™s The Sunday Project about her new gig, Chatfield was asked whether leaving Hot Nights was a difficult decision.

ā€œNo. It was so easy. I was thinking about it for about a year. I was just really exhausted,ā€ she said. ā€œIā€™ve never been happier.”

Abbie Chatfield. Ten

In addition to this, she admitted that at one point she “had no days off for three months” and that she ā€œended up doing things just for contentā€.

When she initially stepped back from the role, rumours began to circulate that she had been fired, which was far from the truth.

ā€œI donā€™t want to do radio anymore,ā€ she said on Instagram, adding that she would continue her Itā€™s A Lot podcast and guessing panel member on The Masked Singer Australia.

ā€œSo it definitely wasnā€™t that I was fired. Itā€™s that I didnā€™t want to do radio anymore…Iā€™m really happy with my decision and super proud of myself for letting this role go.”

Dessert Masters Recap Episode 1: The premiere serves up some seriously impressive desserts

Itā€™s episode one of Dessert Masters 2023 and we’re about to find out exactly what this show is all about.

At the beginning of the premiere, we’re shown a montage of incredible treats that the contestants have made throughout the season.

Next, we’re introduced to the contestants one by one, and each is equally impressible as the last. Some of the most recognisable names include Kay-Lene Tan, Adriano Zumbo and Anna Polyviou.

The cook

The skilled contestants are tasked with simply cooking the best dessert they can in three hours. The dish that judges Anna Polyviou and Melissa Leong deem the best, wins an Immunity Pin. Like Masterchef, this can be used to escape an elimination round at any time all the way up to the semi-finals.

Andy Bowdy chooses a peculiar dish, and says in the interview that he’s taken his fiance’s favourite salad and is (somehow) turning it into a roasted fennel cake dessert.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

At one point, Amoury told Reynold Poernomo that he “has some explaining to do” after he sprayed the judge’s shirt with chocolate.

“I’m known as one of the cleanest pastry chefs that exist, this is not right,” he continued.

However, it was all in jest and Amoury explained to Reynold that he was joking before heading to the next bench.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

The judging

Reynold Poernomo dish was called monochrome, the judges were very impressed with his presentation, and Melissa called it “perfection”. They were as equally impressed with the taste.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Kirsten Tibballs presented another impressive dish with ‘Fleur’. Amoury said the layers inside her cake were “sexy” and Melissa raved about the dish.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Anna Polyviou made a ‘Firecracker’ and Melissa was impressed with the layers inside the dessert.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Rhiann Mead made a dish called Plum Bottom which Melissa said was absolutely stunning.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Jess Liemantara made a stunning dessert called You Give Me Butterflies and once again, the judges were very happy.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Kay-Lene Tan whipped together a Pandan Chiffon Cake, while the judges were mostly happy with it, Melissa wasn’t sure about the texture of the baked mooncake skin.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Gareth Whitton presented the judges with a Brown Butter Miso and Yuro Tart. Amoury said that the flavours were “crafted to perfection”.

Dessert Masters. Ten.

Morgan Hipworth made a Tropical Bloom which was a theatrical dish in the sense that the petals dropped when the sauce was added. Amoury said the elements were “well crafted” but that the chocolate could have been thinner.

Adriano Zumbo made a dish called Masterpiece Within a Masterpiece. The pastry chef was disappointed with his dish and said it was only 70% there. Amoury agreed that it “lacked a little bit of refinement”.

Last up was Andy Bowdy’s controversial savoury dessert of Roasted Fennel Cake. Amoury teased a disaster when told Andy his dish would be high risk for high reward but after tasting it he confirmed that Andy had achieved “high reward”.

The Verdict

Andy, Kirsten and Reynold were the top three choices by the judges, and Reynold took home the Immunity Pin.

Dessert Masters continues at 7:30pm on 10 and 10Play.

Interview: Anna Sophia thinks she would have lasted longer with the ‘old’ Big Brother format

Big Brother Australia 2023 has ruffled some feathers this year, with fans confused as to why a group of young, sexy singles was cast, rather than the usual quirky, diverse group.

Even Big Brother housemate Anna Sophia was surprised at the casting and believes it worked to her detriment.

The 30-year-old was the second housemate evicted from Big Brother Australia 2023, and during an interview with Chattr, Anna Sophia said she would have preferred if the new casting twist wasn’t in place.

“I’m not gonna lie ā€“ I 100% thought there would be a lot more different personalities than there were. Quirky and different diverse people.

Big Brother does a spin every year and it is different so I guess I’ve gone into this year’s one. But it wasn’t what I expected.”

Anna Sophia confirmed that she “100%” thinks that she would have gone further on the show had the casting choices been more like previous years.

Big Brother. Seven.

Anna Sophia is a Big Brother superfan

Anna Sophia said that she’s watched every season of Big Brother, and throughout the years she gained an understanding of how the show works, and who is usually cast. However, that, of course, all changed this year.

“I have always been a huge fan of Big Brother. I’ve watched it ever since I was probably about 12 ā€“ when I probably shouldn’t been watching it! I love the concept of a load of strangers just going to live together. I think it’s really interesting.

The luxury fashion manager named SJ as her favourite housemate ever on Big Brother Australia.

“I thought she was really individual. She was really her own person,” she said. “This sounds a bit corny, I feel like she’d be someone I would become in the future. She is her own person and she doesn’t follow any sort of norms.”

Big Brother Australia airs Monday to Thursday at 8:30 pm on 7 and 7Plus.

Interview: How NCIS Sydney’s Mavournee Hazel pulled off playing an AFP Forensic Scientist

Mavournee Hazel plays AFP Forensic Scientist Bluebird in the new NCIS Sydney.

Of course, convincingly playing a character who would have had to have decades of training and experience for the job role, is no mean feat.

During an interview with Chattr, Hazel said that she found that a vital part of the role was dealing with something complex, and explaining it in a simple way.

“The biggest challenge was understanding what I was saying on such a deep level that it was almost like explaining getting dressed in the morning because to Blue, it is as simple as that,” she said.

“She comes into scenes with new information where she needs to explain it to everyone in a way that they will understand ā€“ and the audience all understand. By the end of it, I got quite good at picking up the technical jargon and chemistry talk.”

NCIS Sydney. Paramount+.

The Australian actress explained the in-depth training she had to undergo in order to pull off the character of Bluebird.

William McInnes and I got to go to the AFP,” she said. (Williams plays AFP Forensic Pathologist Dr Roy Penrose).

“That was amazing. We go to go into the labs and see what they do there to protect the borders. It was fascinating seeing them analysing certain materials. Blue gets to do as well. So I learned a lot seeing them. I was also so surprised by how many young women were actually in these labs and go into the forensic world that is a little bit more male dominated.”

Mavournee Hazel talks about stepping into Abby Sciuto big shoes

Like Abby Sciuto (played by Pauley Perrette), Bluebird is a quirky, female forensic scientist. Over the years, Abby has gained a cult following and has accrued hundreds of thousands of fans.

Hazel told Chattr that she was excited to play a similar character on NCIS Sydney.

“We hadn’t seen a character like Abby before, with this quirky personality, she’s hot but she also has these incredible brains. I am really thankful for the opportunity to be able to pay homage to that, in my own way.”

NCIS Sydney. Paramount+.

However Hazel stressed that Bluebird is her own character, and isn’t a continuation of Abby.

“I think comparison is the thief of joy,” she said. “Straight from the get go we had a team behind the scenes who were so considered and thoughtful in how they wanted Blue to be different; that she wasn’t going to be Abby and she is her own person.

“In the classic NCIS style, viewers will learn more about her and her own backstory and hopefully people love her as much as Abby.”

Stream NCIS Sydney exclusively on Paramount+ from November 10 in Australia.

The Amazing Race Recap Episode 12: Winning team share the love during emotional Grand Finale

It’s the Grand Finale of The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition 2023 and it was certainly one for the books!

While one team arrived first, an emotional and selfless move, saw all of the final three walk away with money for their charities.

Competing in the final leg were Darren McMullen and nephew Tristan Dougan, Emma Watkins and sister Hayley Watkins and mum-and-daughter duo, Angie and Alli Simpson.

Established race leaders throughout the season, Darren and Tristan arrived to meet Beau Ryan at the Pit Stop only to refuse to step on the mat.

Instead, they chose to wait until the other two teams joined them so they could all jump together and share the $100,000 across three worthy charities.

The Amazing Race Grand Finale. Ten

Here’s what happened during the episode

The thrilling finale of the race unfolded in the bustling city of Kuala Lumpur. Here, competitors faced the ultimate test of their honed skills.

First up was a challenge to showcase their communication skills. One team member had to recreate a complex dessert solely based on their partner’s instructions. And to add some excitement, a large and slithering surprise made an appearance.

Hayley found herself in utter terror as an enormous albino python wrapped around her neck. Meanwhile, Angie reassured her daughter Alli that it was just a harmless plastic snake. On the other hand, Tristan visibly battled his sincere fear of snakes.

Next, the teams were challenged to navigate their way through a maze-like bookstore, searching for a single book amidst a sea of literature. Darren and Tristan deciphered the map within sight of Alli, who cleverly overheard the information and relayed it to Angie. Learning from their mistake, Darren and Tristan made sure to be discreet with their clues.

Dancing Task

The following task involved dancing, with Darren eagerly stepping up, while his nephew Tristan lacked the same enthusiasm. Emma Wiggle and Hayley aced the challenge on their first attempt, while Angie took some time to loosen up.

Hayley and Emma. Ten

Finally, the teams put their memory to the test, recalling and organizing obscure photographs from the past 11 destinations. Emma and Hayley arrived first, but Darren and Tristan managed to overtake them after Darren spotted a cleverly placed red herring among the photos.

The Final Pit Stop

On their way to the final Pit Stop, Darren’s Scottish charm came in handy as he befriended a local father and his six children, who happily agreed to join the two strangers and a camera crew on a train to ensure they didn’t get lost.

Darren and Tristan crossed the finish line first, but before stepping onto the mat, Darren took a moment to inform Beau that they had decided to wait for the other two teams, allowing all three charities to receive a share of the prize.

Hand in hand, all three teams reached the mat simultaneously, marking an emotional conclusion to The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition.

Big Brother episode 3: 10 thoughts I had watching the housemates pretty much beg for screen time

Itā€™sĀ Big Brother Australia 2023Ā episode 3 and the housemates are already performing stunts that’ll (hopefully) get them more screen time.

Between Minee’s ‘accidental’ nip slip and Zach and Jake’s v. random lounge room performance, these housemates are THIRSTY.

Read on to find out what happens!

  1. Jake may be attached to three girls, but he will end up with none of them. Indecisiveness ain’t cute.
Big Brother. Seven.

2. Somehow Jake manages to make forgetting a love interest’s name semi-acceptable, does this man have the social skills to win Big Brother?!

3. The girls are complaining that a man making them breakfast is too much. Haven’t they ever seen Love Island? This is the ultimate love language for reality TV!

4. Did I miss something? Why are Jake and Zach dressed in their female housemate’s clothes and straddling each other?

Big Brother. Seven.

5. Minee, are you really going to try and pretend that you didn’t realise you wore a bra-less white singlet into a challenge where you were going to be dumped in the pool? Puhh-lease.

Big Brother. Seven.

6. Gracie May and Louis are a vibe. Facts.

7. It’s nominations time and I’m honestly surprised Jake can remember anyone’s name to nominate them.

8. Shame. Zach’s little plan to cross-dress in order to build a connection with the female housemates didn’t work in his favour, and he’s nominated… again.

9. Louis is reassuring Zach he’s got his back, but isn’t he interested in Anna Sophia? Do I smell a secret BB mastermind?

10. 14 young, hot and single housemates in a spa! This could mean only one thing, spicy content for the first episode of BB Uplate 2023.

Big Brother Australia airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30 pm on 7 and 7Plus.

The Amazing Race Recap Episode 11: One team narrowly misses out on the grand final

It’s episode 11 of The Amazing Race Australia 2023 and after a false start last episode, the final four teams are actually getting whittled down to three.

Alli and Angie Simpson were saved during the last leg when it was found to be to be a predetermined non-elimination round.

However, this time, either Alli and Angie, Harry Jowsey and Teddy Briggs, Darren McMullen and Tristan Dougan or Emma and Hayley Watkins will leave the competition during the Borneo leg.

Throughout the beginning of the ep, Harry and Teddy and Emma and Hayley fall behind, but will they make a miraculous comeback?

The Amazing Race. Ten.

The Challenge

The intersection saw Darren and Tristan pair up with Alli and Angie, while Harry, Teddy, Hayley and Emma made up the other team.

During the challenge, one team collected ingredients and breakfast for the local orangutans, while the other had to call them.

Angie and Alli were responsible for calling their four hairy breakfast guests – they rang and the orangutans came. Their challenge buddies, Darren and Tristan, prepared the food while having to remember specific details about their orangutans, from their birthdays to favourite foods to fun facts.

Darren went bananas over the experience, having dreamt of this moment since readingĀ TheĀ Jungle BookĀ as a wee lad.

The Amazing Race. Ten.

Emma and Hayley were on a mission to be the first all-female team to win the Race, but being paired with Harry and Teddy on this challenge put a bump in that plan as the boys struggled to remember the fruits they prepared, wasting a lot of time.

The Challenge

Next, the teams headed to the Sarawak River where they had to tightly bind a traditional bamboo raft before paddling six kilometres through rapids and (possibly?) croc-infested waters to receive their next clue.

After confusing a rock for a crocodile, Darren and Tristan started to get jittery. But, it was Alli and Angie who managed to capsize their raft.

Emma and Hayley stayed in a steady third place, while Harry and Teddy, who got lost on their way to the challenge, were in last.

The Amazing Race. Ten.

Roadblock

At the Roadblock, one member of each team had to compete in a blowpipe challenge to win their final clue.

Darren and Tristan left the blowpipe challenge in first place and were legging it to the Pit Stop, but thanks to a wrong turn, Alli and Angie managed to overtake the boys, and they hit the carpet first.

Emma and Hayley were relieved to be in third place, and sadly, Harry and Teddy were last to arrive and were eliminated from the Race. Harry paid tribute to his three friends that he’d lost to suicide, and tearfully stressed the importance of reaching out to Beyond Blue.

Love Island AU 2023 Recap Episode 7: Kirra finally sees the light

It’s episode seven of Love Island Australia 2023 and toooonight there’s trouble in paradise as “This guy šŸ™„” Reid finally pisses off Kirra to the point of no return and Hurricane Abby is in the “eye of the storm” with Kiwi Ken a.k.a Zac.

Let’s get into it!

Kirra finally sees the light during The Candy Shop challenge

T-Dawg Trent pulls Hurricane Abby for a chat because she’s got “really nice facial features” before he throws Sav under the bus and tells Abby Sav is not his “vibe”.

Their convo is interrupted by a TEXXXXXT and it’s time for a game, The Candy Shop.

While Kirra does her best “sexy wolf” impression, Nate gets to choose two people to kiss that he thinks should couple up. Even though we thought he was Team Kirra, he makes “This guy šŸ™„” and Hurricane Abby mack on.

“Good motion in the ocean,” Reid says of the kiss. Gross.

Reid and Abby make out. Nine

Kiwi Ken then gives Nate (?!) a lap dance because he reckons he’d be mammoth in bed and Lucinda tries to be sexy while pretending to be a “pussy cat”.

Next up, Hurricane Abby has to kiss her top three boys ā€” “This guy šŸ™„”, T-Dawg (“The s–ittest kisser”) and Pete Gunn Kelly Kale.

Nakia chooses PGK and… Ben?! for a three-way kiss before Hurricane Abby has to kiss an islander with whom she hadn’t locked lips before. She macks on with Nate. Ben also has to kiss Hurricane Abby, before “This guy šŸ™„” has to kiss his top pick, hug his second pick and pat the head of his bottom pick.

Unsurprisingly, he kisses Hurricane Abby and hugs Kirra.

“At this rate, I’m just going to get ‘mug’ written across my forehead,” Kirra says in a confessional, before saying: “It’s super clear that Reid lied to me to stay in the Villa. He’s a shady snake.” HALLELUJAH!

“I’m so done with being put second or being put last,” she says again in the Beach Hut. “I’m done with it. At what stage do you say ‘I’m done with this f–king bull-s–t?’…I hate men! I’m turning lesbian!”

Kirra wants to go home

Speaking to Tia, Nakia and Nate, Kirra says she’s ready to go TF home, admitting she knows that “This guy šŸ™„” would have picked her last but didn’t want to look like a d–khead.

“I’m not an idiot,” Kirra says and it’s lovely to see her come to her senses.

“I just want him to come up and say ‘I’m not interested. That’s fine you’re not hurting my feelings. It’s hurting my feelings more with you being a fake f–king c—!” OOOOFT.

Nakia: PRAISE BE!!

Praise be! Nine

“Say it to him,” Nate says, which is funny, given five minutes ago he got Reid and Hurricane Abby to make out.

“I don’t have the energy tonight so I’m just going to go get a snack,” Kirra says. Relatable.

In a confessional, Nakia says “This guy šŸ™„” needs to “GROW UP” and honestly, we couldn’t agree more. Meanwhile, Kirra doesn’t want to talk to him.

“F–k Reid,” she says. “I should have sent him home the moment I knew he f–ked my sister.” Ahh, Love Island. Place of romance, love and dreams.

Nate and Hurricane Abby talk about Tia and “This guy šŸ™„” Reid…and Hurricane Abby chats to “This guy šŸ™„”

Meanwhile, Nate and Hurricane Abby have a chat where he reveals he’s happy with Tia. Well done Nate.

Tia: “I’m not jealous of her because I know I’m better than her.” LOL.

Tia is NOT jealous, you guys. Nine

Hurricane Abby then admits she’s concerned about “This guy šŸ™„” because he hasn’t been honest with her.

Nate reassures her that Reid’s not lying about her being his number one, even though he can “be a little sneaky at times”.

Hurricane Abby then pulls “This guy šŸ™„” for a chat. She says that she’s heard s–t about the elimination of MVP Ollie.

He tells Hurricane Abby he only told Kirra that he would be “willing to explore options more than a friendship level”, which TBF, he did say.

“This guy šŸ™„” promises her that like a Destiny’s Child song, he’s not “jumpin’ jumpin'” and Abby decides to trust him, but says he needs to talk to Kirra.

When he goes for said chat, Kirra pretends she’s asleep. Lol.

“Kirra”… Kirra: “Zzzz”.

“This guy šŸ™„” then tells Lucinda that he “feels for” Kirra because she’s been dealt some blows this week. Ok, bro.

Hurricane Abby tells Sav that T-Dawg does not, in fact, prefer blondes

The next morning, Kirra “wisely fakes a coma” to avoid her new arch-nemesis and the boys brush their teeth…in the outside shower.

SEE ALSO: Interview: Yup, thereā€™s an actual reason why the guys shower naked together on Love Island

Kirra starts crying in bed and Kiwi Ken and T-Dawg try to comfort her. They gather the girls and Kirra tells them Reid hasn’t spoken to her…but honestly, we know it’s not without a lack of trying. (We’re still not fans. Don’t worry.)

Delulu Lucinda says that Reid is still into Kirra… “Well, he says that”. Lol. And honestly, we don’t need more delusional people in Le Villa.

Sav and Hurricane Abby then have a chat and Abby reveals she wants to get to know Reid and… Nate. Which we will not allow.

She then tells Sav that T-Dawg isn’t interested in her anymore and that he’s over blondes.

HOW DARE HE?! Nine

“Chill out Trent,” Sav says in a confessional. “Maybe I’m over brunette immature liars.” LELz.

Sav confronts T-Dawg

Sav pulls T-Dawg for a chat and tells him what Hurricane Abby had said.

“I didn’t say it like that,” he says. “I just said that I wasn’t feeling it after a few things you said but we get along so well and we’re just seeing where it goes.”

DO THESE PPL NOT KNOW THEY ARE BEING FILMED?!

Trusting her gut, she tells him that something feels “completely different” and T-Dawg unsurprisingly charms his way back in, saying that Abby was just embellishing. WOWEE. Talk about “This guy šŸ™„” 2.0.

During a confessional, T-Dawg admits he’s in a “sticky situation” because he doesn’t think they can be more than friends…

Kirra confronts “This guy šŸ™„”

“This guy šŸ™„” tries to clear the air, but she’s having none of it.

“I know you only picked me second out of pity, and you probably should’ve told me because it was such a slap in the face,” she tells him, before asking for a shred of honesty about how he feels about her.

“Effort is a direct reflection of interest and your effort is the bare minimum,” she says. “I know you’re not interested.”

Boy, bai! Nine

“I was willing to explore and open to having more chats so I could show interest,” he tells her before she tells him: “I would have rather kept Ollie and sent you the f–k home, to be honest.”

“You’re welcome for me keeping you in here,” she tells him. “I’ll sleep on the couch.” LEL.

Superfans get their say during a challenge

In an Out of this World challenge, the Superfans get a chance to have their say.

Apparently, 90% of them think that Tyra is playing it safe by staying with Ben and precisely 30% of them thought Kirra and “This guy šŸ™„” could win Love Island. Clearly, they voted before today’s events…

65% also thought Tia would break Nate’s heart (wut?!) and 15% think PGK and Nakia are compatible.

WUT?! Nine

5% also thought T-Dawg and Sav would be BF and GF, which to Sav is “definitely a sign”.

As for Kiwi Ken and Lucinda, 80% think that Zac likes Lucinda more than she likes him.

“Maybe they think he’s a fanboy,” she said in a confessional. “He is!”

Meanwhile, 5% think that Tyra and Ben will stay together on the outside.

What a ride!

Kiwi Ken v Hurricane Abby

Everyone is feeling insecure about their relos after the challenge, particularly Nakia. PGK and Nakia chat about it and he says he trusts that she didn’t say anything about their romance behind his back. (Obvi, the challenge was dated, given that it was probs referring to Kale and Tia’s connection… so it’s a moot point at this stage.)

Over in Ben land, he is sad over Tyra… and while we’d love to stay and chat with them, drama is afoot and we must dash!

Hurricane Abby, decides to tell Lucinda that Kiwi Ken’s intentions are about fame and fame only.

“Don’t you think it’s really weird that he asked me if my [social media] following went up after I was on TV?” Abby asks her.

Lucinda then begins to doubt her relationship with Kiwi Ken, given she has 818k followers on the gram and he’s obsessed with her from watching her…on TV.

Is he in it for the fame? Lucinda begins having doubts. Nine

Lucinda decides to talk to Zac about it and he begins to not only see red but become that very colour. He is “FUMIN'”.

“What a snake!” he says. “She’s been here for five minutes and she’s going around and stirring s–t like that. Who does she think she is? That’s such a wild accusation to make.”

Beetroot Kiwi Ken. Nine

Kiwi Ken then decides to confront Hurricane Abby, with T-Dawg, his apprentice, ready to confront her about Sav.

“You’ve been here for an afternoon and you’re just twisting every story that gets told,” T-Dawg says.

“Just because people aren’t interested in you, now you’re going to ruin s–t with them,” Zac adds.

Hurricane Abby has little chance to defend herself and Nate and PGK, are quick to pull the guys back.

Abby then storms off in tears.

Abby is sad. Nine

Crikey! She sure came in like a wreeeeecking ball!

Fans claim ‘conflict of interest’ after discovering Marty Foxā€™s uncle represented a The Block buyer

Kristy and Brett were left devastated when the five-bedroom house they renovated earned them a profit of just $65,000 at The Block auctions.

And, with news coming to light that The Block Judge Marty Fox’s uncle Martin Fox Senior represented the buyer of house three, fans have begun to spin a conspiracy theory about the relatively low price.

The day after the auction, Martin Fox Senior shared a post of him standing alongside the winners of house three.

“EALS THE DEAL: With the right buyers advocate, you donā€™t have to over pay. House 3 bought via @martinfoxsnr for our very happy local clients,” it was captioned.

The post rang alarm bells for some fans, who pondered whether Martin Fox’s Senior’s inclusion in the sale was a conflict of interest, considering his nephew’s involvement on The Block as a judge.

Some questioned if Marty Fox’s harsh judging of Brett and Kristy’s house could have brought down the sale price for his uncle’s clients. For the reveals of the Studio Room, Kid’s Rooms, Master Ensuite, Backyards and Guest Bathrooms, Marty consistently gave Brett and Kristy a lower score than the other two judges, Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze.

“Seems they were working for the buyer!! Thatā€™s a conflict if I ever saw one,” one wrote. Another penned: “Something very off here! So the buyer’s advocate was Marty Fox’ agency? This is bulls**t.. Makes you wonder..”

Interview: “Cutest moment”: Dami Im on her young son’s adorable reaction to her Masked Singer win

Dami Im thrilled fans when she was crowned the winner of The Masked Singer Australia 2023, but she said that it was her son’s reaction that really warmed her heart.

Dami shares an 18-month-old son named Harrison Kim with her husband Noah Kim. During an interview with Chattr following her win, Dami said that although he’s still young, he was excited by her performance on the show.

“He was watching the final yesterday. The beginning of it anyway, before we had to go to bed, but he was just dancing to the music and he just loved watching. I suppose there’s like animals on stage singing and he loved it,” she said.

“It made me so happy! He kissed the trophy because it’s this big shiny thing. We got a photo and I just thought that was the cutest moment,” she added.

“We’ve been floating around being asked for a few years, and then we never took it,” she said.

“But, having a little boy who’s one and a half years old, I just wanted to do something fun!”
