Australian Survivor’s Zara: A look into her ultra-luxurious life at home

Zara Callianiotis has been one to watch on Australian Survivor 2025. She’s proven there’s a lot more to her than meets the eye, holding her own through every twist and turn to become the last woman standing this season.

During an exclusive interview with Chattr, Zara revealed just how gruelling the experience really is.

“It is an emotional game because you’re completely cut off from your family. I liken it to being in a zombie apocalypse, and The Graduates [alliance] out there became my new family,” she said.

But who really is Zara outside the game? When she’s not sleeping in a leaky shelter or battling it out in Tribal, the stylish Survivor star leads a very different life.

Here’s everything we know about Australian Survivor’s Zara.

Zara’s logo-mania lifestyle outside of Survivor Australia

We got our first peek into Zara’s real-world glam in Episode 5, when the OG Brains cast member confessed she’s way out of her comfort zone.

“Our shelter is horrible, it leaks on us all night,” she said.

“I came out here in a beautiful Camilla dress, giving housewife, fashionista vibes, and now my entire hair is almost matted to my head. This could not be any more far removed from my regular life.”

No stranger to the finer things in life, Zara has made no secret of just how far her luxe lifestyle is from the harsh reality of Australian Survivor. Off the show, she’s living the highest of lives.

“I adore luxury. I love all the finer things: beautiful clothes, beautiful shoes,” she shared early on in her Survivor journey.

And she’s not exaggerating. School drop-offs are done in an orange Lamborghini (casually). For context, the starting price for a car like the Lamborghini Huracan (for example) is around AU$384,187!!

Zara’s Instagram is where the self-described “Hermès collector” and “Louboutin lover” flaunts off her seriously enviable fashion hauls and extravagant globetrotting adventures with her fam.

A luxurious flat-lay featuring Louis Vuitton high heels, packaging, and a designer box on the left, alongside Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery in an elegant box on the right.

Based off her Insta, Zara’s wardrobe must be insane. We’re talking Louis Vuitton mules (retailing for around US$1,020, or roughly AU$1,600), 18K gold and mother-of-pearl Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, and of course, her regular Hermès Birkin bag unboxings.

FYI, Birkin bags apparently start at around €9,250 (approximately AU$15,200), and can climb to over US$64,400.

Yup, Zara definitely has a taste for the finer things. And the cash to boot. Speaking of…

Who is Zara Callianiotis’ husband?

Zara appears to be married to George Callianiotis, the owner and sole director of The Geocal Group, a building and project management firm.

According to Dun & Bradstreet, the company brings in an estimated $5.51 million in annual revenue. So maybe this is where the big bucks are coming from?

What is Australian Survivor’s Zara’s net worth?

While we don’t know her exact net worth it’s safe to say Australian Survivor‘s Zara isn’t exactly strapped for cash. Must be nice!

She’s also a multi-degree holder

Zara’s not all designer handbags and Louboutins. She’s got the credentials to back up her smarts, too.

“Don’t let the blonde hair fool you. I do have brains behind that,” she said on Survivor.

And she wasn’t kidding. Zara holds three degrees in Political Science, Law, and Economics and is a qualified solicitor and financial planner. Tell me you’re not worried about student debt without telling me you’re not worried about student debt.

She’s also the Vice President of her kids’ school PTA, and runs her household like a pro.

“My day is packing lunches, getting the kids to school, driving them around, but I’m also a really multi-faceted person.”

Zara Callianiotis on Australian Survivor 2025: Holding the immunity idol in a challenge stance (left) and reacting mid-slide on a bright pink obstacle (right).

Family is her driving force, and her kids were the main reason she signed up for Survivor.

“I want my kids to watch me on TV and just think I’m a badass,” She told Network 10. “I want them to see me competing in challenges and think, ‘Yeah, my mum’s got this. My mum’s cool.’”

She’s smart, she’s motivated, she’s stylish. But will it be enough for Zara to secure the title of Sole Survivor? Time will tell!

MAFS’ Jack Millar and Courtney Stubbs share adorable pregnancy announcement

Reality TV’s favourite crossover couple, Jack Millar from Married at First Sight (MAFS) and Courtney Stubbs from Love Island Australia, have shared an adorable pregnancy announcement, revealing they’re expecting baby number two!

Jack and Courtney share pregnancy reveal video

The couple made the sweet announcement on Instagram, sharing a heartwarming video featuring their 17-month-old daughter, Penelope June Millar, gently touching Courtney’s growing bump.

“The final piece to our puzzle ~ October 2025,” the caption read.

It didn’t take long for friends and fellow reality stars to send their congratulations.

MAFS alum Ella Ding commented, “Hehehehehehe… this makes my soul so happy, can’t wait to meet you soon little one.”

Jules Robinson, who welcomed her second child with husband Cam Merchant last year, wrote, “Awww congratulations.”

Cam also chimed with a cute comment: “Cheeky mate! Love it & huge congratulations to you guys”.

Jack and Courtney welcomed first baby Penelope in 2023

Courtney and Jack welcomed their first child, Penelope, in November 2023, sharing the wonderful news on Insta with a carousel of beautiful snaps.

The caption read: “Penelope June Millar. A love so magical words cannot describe! 10/11/23.” Aw!

Jack and Courtney’s relationship timeline

The couple’s love story began in July 2022, when they started a long-distance relationship. Eventually, they moved in together in Sydney, and the rest is history.

In a 2023 interview with 9Now, Jack revealed his romantic streak. “I’ve gotten her flowers every time I’ve picked her up from the airport and I want to continue this,” he said.

Then, in Dom’s Debrief, Jack playfully described their relationship as “the cross-over that no one asked for but everyone got.” Beg to differ, Jack!

Jack’s MAFS Ex Domenica Calarco is also expecting

Jack’s former MAFS partner,  Domenica Calarco, is also preparing to welcome a baby. She announced her pregnancy via Instagram on Wednesday, 12 March, saying she’s expecting her first child.

In a follow-up story, she addressed questions about her relationship status, confirming she’ll “be welcoming this baby as a solo parent”.

She added that she’s grateful to have the father’s support in a co-parenting capacity.

Looks like it’s baby bliss all around. Congrats to Jack, Courtney, and all the growing reality TV families!

Have some of the 2025 MAFS grooms already started their own merch line?

Married at First Sight (MAFS) is over for another year, and it hasn’t taken long for the 2025 brides and grooms to start jumping at potential opportunities to make a little extra cashflow.

While some of the 2025 participants are tipped to become Australia’s next big influencers, it appears others have already jumped onto making their own merch.

Remember last year when Collins Christian launched his ‘What a Day’ shirts after appearing on the show for a hot minute? We’re going to predict they didn’t exactly sell out.

2025 MAFS grooms jump on the merch train

Ryan Donnelly recently shared on his finsta that his MAFS BFF Tony Mojanovski has gotten creative and made a couple of t-shirts.

In case you need a refresher, Tony was married to Morena Farina and would often disappear back to his hometown of Wollongong for weekends to have his own solo ‘Tony Time’. This context is important, because guess what shirt he’s sporting?

You guessed it. Tony Time shirts.

And Ryan’s got his very own ‘Warrior’ shirt also.

MAFS' Ryan and Tony and their shirts
Would you wear a Tony Time shirt? Image: Nine

Unfortunately, there’s yet to be a shirt for Eliot Donovan sporting the “Don’t raise your voice at me” line, or one for Jamie Marinos with the slogan, “Even my nipples are tired of this”. But there’s some free ideas for ya.

Before you go racing to add Tony Time to your cart, Ryan clarified with Chattr that the shirts were just a bit of a joke.

“The shirts were a single make for a gag,” he said. “We haven’t chatted about producing bulk, had no clue if there’d be much interest!”

Maybe this year’s cast have learned from the mistakes of those who came before them after all.

Farmer Wants a Wife

It’s almost time for one of the most wholesome shows on TV to return. Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) is back for 2025 with four brand-new Farmers hoping to find the one.

Natalie Gruzlewski is officially back as the main host after taking a step back in recent seasons. With 11 marriages and 28 kids thanks to the show, FWAW actually has the stats to back up its promise of lasting love.

Will Farmer Corey, Farmer Tom, Farmer Thomas, and Farmer Jarrad find their forever person? We can’t wait to find out.

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 premieres on April 21 on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Real Housewives of Sydney

The Real Housewives of Sydney is currently airing its third season, with new episodes released every Tuesday on BINGE and Foxtel. An offshoot of the American franchise, the show follows the outrageous lives of Sydney’s high society through the lens of the cast of housewives.

The season premiered on 25 February 2025, bringing back some familiar faces, including Nicole O’NeilKrissy MarshKate AdamsTerry BivianoCaroline GaultierVictoria Montano, and Sally Obermeder, plus newcomer Martine Chippendale.

So, if you tuned into MAFS Australia for the catfights, gossiping, and wild personalities, then The Real Housewives of Sydney should absolutely fit the bill.

Below Deck Down Under

If you’re after something a little more scenic (but still packed with popcorn-grabbing personality), Below Deck Down Under Season 3 could be just the thing.

This season, the crew is working on the mega yacht Katina, ferrying cashed-up charter guests around the stunning Seychelles. Tune in for clashing cabin mates, flirty tension, and plenty of on-deck antics.

Most of the cast is new, but three familiar faces are back: Captain Jason (of course), Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, and deckhand Harry Van Vliet. Captain Jason has been steering the ship since Season 1, and he’s back again for the 2025 run.

New episodes of Below Deck Down Under Season 3 drop on Mondays on Hayu.

Which MAFS star is likely to become this year’s biggest influencer?

It’ll be a little while still until this year’s Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025 cast get their social media accounts back, but already some of them are being touted as Australia’s next big influencers.

Every season of MAFS the participants become household names, but not everyone makes it in the influencing world afterwards. Remember last year’s cast minus Lucinda Light? Me neither.

With participants like Jamie Marinos and Jacqui Burfoot becoming household names, we decided to ask a talent agency who would be the most likely to rake in the big bucks and keep their star on the rise after this season of MAFS.

MAFS’ Carina Mirable tipped to become a successful influencer

Talent agency NEON MGMT told Chattr that Carina Mirable would be one to watch following her MAFS story arc, saying she’d likely build a “long-standing and successful career”.

“She is likeable, authentic, and has positioned herself as a fashion-forward leader of the show. We also believe that her standing up for herself and her values in the last few episodes, and drawing a line in the sand with Paul was incredibly strong, and will be inspiring for a lot of young women around Australia,” they said.

While rates and budgets for how much a MAFS star could earn on social media have various factors, the talent agency said Carina’s following and media presence would start her on an average of $5k for content promotions.

The other MAFS stars who will find success post-experiment

Other that Carina’s potential as Australia’s next fashion icon, NEON MGMT also highlighted Jamie, as well as Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels as becoming bigger names.

“Jamie’s quick wit and vulnerability means she connects deeply with her audience which is strong for brand ambassadorships,” they said.

Jamie will likely see success due to her authenticity. Image: Nine

“Rhi and Jeff are the lovebirds of the season which will definitely have strong appeal for brands and audiences, as viewers are invested in their long-term relationship success post-show. We also can see Veronica [Cloherty] and Awhina [Rutene] getting more into the content scene.”

MAFS' Rhi and Jeff during commitment ceremony

Does staying on MAFS until Final Vows give you a higher chance of success post-show?

People often accuse MAFS participants of staying on the show and propelling their relationship forward longer than they should, due to wanting to increase their airtime and have a higher chance of fame.

“Obviously the longer the contestants have airtime, the better chance their following will continue to grow,” NEON MGMT told us. “That being said; audiences can tell when a contestant isn’t in the experiment for the right reasons. While more airtime means more exposure; it is extremely powerful when contestants know their limits, speak vulnerably and honestly, and call it when the time is right.”

The agency said leaving the experiment before Final Vows isn’t a dealbreaker, but staying until the halfway point of the season may help.

“From previous seasons usually the contestants who make it at least halfway through the season have more success post-MAFS than those who may leave the show in the first few episodes/weeks.”

MAFS’ Jamie reveals surprising news about her and Dave’s relationship

They were one of our favourite couples on Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025, but it sadly wasn’t meant to be for Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand, who ended the experiment as friends.

While Jamie had fallen for the groom, Dave struggled to reciprocate her feelings. Although they finished Final Vows committing to each other, things fizzled in the outside world with Jamie initiating a breakup due to Dave’s lack of effort in the relationship.

While they appeared to end things on amicable terms during the MAFS Reunion episodes, Jamie has since revealed that the pair are sadly no longer on speaking terms.

MAFS’ Jamie reveals where she and Dave stand: ‘Doesn’t deserve to have access to me’

“We aren’t on speaking terms,” Jamie said in a recent interview with Triple M. “Unfortunately this is something that, you know, I tried so hard to maintain a friendship and that was what was always pushed to me, like ‘I really care about our bond, and our friendship’ but at the same time, Dave put me through a lot on the experiment and watching it back is really difficult.

“[You] can’t excuse certain behaviours, but at the same time, I can understand why someone might not have been in the best headspace, people make mistakes, however, unfortunately, I don’t think he’ll ever truly understand what he put me through,” she continued.

“Dave doesn’t deserve to have access to me, I’m sorry.”

Jamie on whether she’s dating Eliot

After the MAFS cast gathered for a reunion weekend in Sydney, rumours flew something may have happened between Jamie and Eliot Donovan after the two appeared to be looking cosy at the Daily Mail MAFS reunion dinner.

“I can confirm Eliot and I are friends, and I like to say flanter, flirty banter,” Jamie said. “We moved Eliot into our room, we had two beds in our room, we were actually Charlie’s Angels that weekend, Eliot’s Angels.”

Jamie didn’t say a firm no when asked if she did hook up with Eliot. “You’ll just have to wait and find out if we do a hard launch on TikTok anytime soon,” she teased.

Marshall Hamburger reveals the advantage of being a young Australian Idol winner

At just 19 years old, Marshall Hamburger was crowned the winner of Australian Idol 2025, making him the first contestant under 25 to take out the title since 2009.

It was a teenage affair at the grand final, as Marshall was up against Iilysh Retalick and Gisella Colletti, who are both 17.

During a post-win interview with Chattr, Marshall called being named the winner “surreal”, and shared why he believes winning Australian Idol at such a young age is a huge advantage.

“I definitely do think [it’s an advantage]. We’re just really at the start of all of our careers and all in the beginning of our vocal development,” he explained, referring to his Top 3 competitors, as well.

“We’ve still all got our 20s to really reach our peaks as singers, and we’ve got tons of time to work on our craft and really get stuff going.”

What will Australian Idol winner Marshall Hamburger spend his prize money on?

Marshall took home the title of Australian Idol 2025, as well as $100,000 in prize money plus a recording contract with Hive Sound Studios. So, what is he planning to spend his winnings on?

“The first thing I want to spend money on is music gear to get a tour ready, an in-ear monitor system and a new keyboard, a more professional one,” he told Chattr.

Marshall also wants to buy something special for his Queensland-based parents, who have supported his love of music since he was a baby.

“I want to try and give my parents back some money because they’ve been spending thousands of dollars to come to Idol for every show. I’ve tried to give them some money. They won’t accept it, but I’ll keep trying!”

What’s next for Marshall?

Marshall’s official Australian Idol album, The Idol Collection, is already available for pre-order.

“There’s a winner’s album coming out of all of my top hits that I’ve done on the show,” he explained. “[The songs will] be Beautiful Things, Higher Love, As the Days Go By, and I think Benny and Jets is on there in there as well.”

After that, Marshall plans to release his own original album, and wants to hit the road on a tour once that’s done.

“I’m finishing writing up my original album, which will be really cool. I just need to work on production and really getting it ready to release to the public, and then I’ll be working out a show, and then hopefully going on tour soon,” he said.

“I can definitely see myself going on tour. I’ve got a band ready to go, so we just have to get a show together, and then we’ll be on the road.”

Body language expert reveals why he thinks MAFS’ Jacqui and Clint’s relationship is ‘scripted’

We did it, everyone! We survived another chaotic season of Married at First Sight 2025 (MAFS), and we all deserve a margarita, a valium, and a massage, but not particularly in that order.

Last night’s MAFS finale saw the participants have one last couch session with the experts as they rewatched their journeys. There were tears, laughter, arguments, and one “I love you” exchange, with Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels finding their happily ever after.

One of the big TV moments was, of course, Jacqui Burfoot taking to the couch one final time with her ex, Ryan Donnelly, as she was quizzed about her new relationship with intruder groom Clint Rice. While we know in real-time that Jacqui and Clint just got engaged, during the finale episodes Jacqui revealed her plans to move to Tasmania with him after just a few weeks of dating, much to the shock of the wider group.

Combined Communications Specialist and Body Language Expert Scott Taylor has been commentating on MAFS this season and doesn’t quite buy into Jacqui and Clint’s relationship. He told Chattr earlier this week that he didn’t believe the pair were in a “true relationship”.

Body language expert decodes MAFS’ Jacqui’s behaviour, reveals unnoticed moment with Ryan and Clint

Scott has unpacked the finale episode, calling out Jacqui and Clint’s love story as being rehearsed. “They have scripted together the story of bonding over negative experiences and the rehearsed content comes in 5-6 word clusters,” Scott told Chattr.

Interestingly, Scott also pointed out one moment between Ryan and Clint that others may not have picked up on.

“As Ryan said, ‘I was living with her when you spoke to her’, at the back of the scene Clint said, ‘Yep’ and nodded.”

Scott also pointed out how Jacqui tried to argue with Ryan until he said “I still have the text messages” and Jacqui then jumped to saying “I’m sick of this” as a way to shut the argument down.

@itsscotttaylorofficial Final @Married At First Sight behaviour video for 2025!! It’s been a wild ride and I am incredibly grateful for the support here. Thank you for those of you that have shared about the videos helping you in some way. Don’t leave… more exciting news coming shortly so watch this space! 👀 #mafsaustralia #mafs #mafsau #marriedatfirstsight #bodylanguage #nonverbalcommunication ♬ original sound – itsscotttaylorofficial

As Jacqui and Ryan’s story played out for everyone, Scott said Clint showed “discomfort indicators as Jacqui’s behaviours rolled in”.

“Ryan showed escalating frustration,” Scott said, pointing out Ryan’s jaw tension. “[And] when Jacqui doesn’t have conversations go to her script, her anger rises.”

Scott also discussed the moment Clint said he saw no problems with Jacqui’s behaviour after her and Ryan’s montage rolled out.

“No alarms about Jacqui’s conduct shows the fakeness of their connection as I’ve mentioned earlier,” Scott said. “That’s not connection blindness. That’s a conscious choice to not discuss it, purely for protecting the relationships image as he showed lots of [signs of] discomfort as he saw her behaviours.”

Australian Idol 2025 eliminations: Here’s everybody who left the competition

Well, folks, Australian Idol 2025 is finally over, and we’ve had a great season full of surprises and fierce competition.

But sadly, as the show progressed, we had to say goodbye to talented contestants and fan-favourites each week as they were eliminated on the path to crowning this year’s Australian Idol 2025 winner Marshall Hamburger.

The road to our newest Idol started with the Golden Ticket Holders, who made up the Top 30. Our runner-up was Iilysh Retallick, while Gisella Colletti came third.

With each passing week, Australian Idol fans were left on the edge of their seats as we found out who would be next to be sent home from the competition.

Winner Marshall away with a life-changing $100,000 prize and a highly sought-after recording contract with Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

Everyone who has been eliminated from Australian Idol 2025

Iilysh Retallick

Our rocker chick, Iilysh Retallick, is the Australian Idol 2025 runner-up, and she seemed genuinely happy for her friend and competitor, Marshall.

She sang Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo and You Oughtta Know by Alanis Morrisette.

Amy said she was “such a fan”, and told her to “get a band and get on the damn road” whether she wins or not.

Kyle said he could play Iilysh on the radio tomorrow and promised the singer that if she didn’t win, he would “buy the band” so she could go on tour.

We’ll be the first to buy tickets!

Gisella Colletti

Gisella on Australian Idol

Gisella Colletti was the first eliminated during the Australian Idol 2025 Grand Finale. She sang What A Feeling as a power ballad and looked like a true pop star, but it wasn’t enough to save her.

“You’re incredible and I must say my husband who is a massive fan of the show, said [he] can’t believe Gisella is only 17,” Amy said. “You are incredible, well done.”

You’ll be able to see Gisella perform with Tina Arena in Perth at her upcoming concert, so her career is only just getting started.

Jaymon Bob

Jaymon Bob put his artistry on show at the semi-final with a performance of Post Malone’s Circles.

Unfortunately, the 23-year-old didn’t make it through the dreaded triple elimination. His Golden Ticket set him apart as a talented singer, but the public didn’t vote him through.

Jake Whittaker

Jake Whittaker put a country spin on John Cougar Mellencamp’s old-school hit Hurts So Good. But, he was unfortunately another casualty on Monday night, with his hopes of becoming the next Australian Idol dashed.

William Le Brun

William Le Brun was also sent home during the triple elimination after his performance of High Hopes by Panic! At The Disco.

John Van Beek

John Van Beek performed You Are The Reason by Calum Scott but it wasn’t enough to secure him a spot in the Top 8. In a nail-biting reveal, the hosts sadly told John his journey was over.

However, he wasn’t too upset and remained positive.

“I came into this whole experience just me giving it a shot… I was so nervous,” John said. “It’s taken me to here, it’s been amazing. I’ve learnt so much.”

He was eliminated alongside Emma, and Ricki-Lee Coulter said it was “only the beginning” for both of the singers.

Emma Jones

Emma Jones chose to sing Fields Of Gold by Sting but her unique voice couldn’t save her from elimination.

“I am going to miss that beautiful voice of yours floating through Idol HQ,” Ricki-Lee said.

Emma told fans that this wasn’t the last you would see of her, promising that she will continue to share her talent with the world.

“Thank you so much for the opportunity to share with you what I love,” Emma said. “It’s only the beginning, so the best is yet to come.”

Amy Shark said the pair “crushed it” and making it through this far was impressive.

Hannah Waddell, 25, WA

Hannah Waddell

Hannah Waddell performed Gloria Gaynor‘s Never Can Say Goodbye at the auditions. She then took on Ain’t No Mountain High Enough with John and Jinja for the Top 24.

The disco queen grooved her way into the Top 10. But after belting out I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, she unfortunately didn’t secure enough votes to make the Top 8 and was eliminated alongside Bony.

Her exit came as a shock to the Australian Idol judges, who all praised her “effortless vocal perfection” throughout the competition.

“You have one of the strongest voices we have ever seen in Idol,” Amy told Hannah.

Kyle Sandilands implored her to get a booking agent. “I would book you for a party, a wedding or corporate gigs. Go and start your career!” he urged.

Following her elimination, a grateful Hannah reflected, “Thank you, judges, for this whole experience. I am so lucky and extremely grateful. This is not the end.”

Bony Onyango, 25, QLD

Bony Onyango initially didn’t receive a Golden Ticket after his auto-tuned audition garnered mixed reactions. However, Kyle went rogue and brought him back. He was paired with William and Jazz for Top 24 and, after the Top 21 round, Marcia admitted: “We are so happy Kyle did what he did.”

He powered through the competition and secured a spot in the Top 10. His natural talent shone during his rendition of I Don’t Care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, but unfortunately, Bony didn’t receive enough votes to make the Top 8 and was eliminated alongside Hannah.

“Thank you for how you guys received me. It’s been super dope I guess we will see you guys on the other side,” Bony said, following his elimination.

Kyle reassured him, saying, “Thank you for how you guys received me. It’s been super dope I guess we will see you guys on the other side.”

While Amy added, “I’m not worried about you at all. Tomorrow, you are going to get back into the studio.”

Mzuki, 28, VIC

Mzuki.

Mzuki raised Kyle’s eyebrows with her version of Missy Elliott‘s Get Your Freak On and was sent through to the Top 30. After that, she took part in a group performance with Giestare and Jaylena.

In the Top 12 live performances of Australian Idol 2025, Mzuki gave her spin on Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio featuring L.V. However, she fell just short of the Top 10 after failing to receive enough votes and was eliminated alongside Aaliyah Duchesne.

Aaliyah Duchesne brought the judges to tears at the auditions with her rendition of Angel of Mine by Monica, which was dedicated to her mum.

Throughout the competition, she brought her soulful style to performances including God Is a Woman by Ariana Grande, Call Out My Name by The Weeknd, All My Life by K-Ci & JoJo, and Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.

However, Aaliyah’s journey was cut short after she didn’t receive enough votes to make it into the Top 10, leaving the competition alongside Mzuki.

Keely Ellen brought the judges to tears with her heartfelt rendition of Always on My Mind by Elvis Presley during auditions.

Her journey came to an end in Episode 14 during Transformation Week after performing The First Cut Is The Deepest by Sheryl Crow. Marcia encouraged her to embrace more stillness in her delivery, while Amy praised her as “a real artist” but said she felt the audience hadn’t fully connected with her yet.

Chris Ah Gee, 31, QLD

Chris Ah Gee

Chris scored a Golden Ticket for his performance of Kiss from a Rose by Seal, and his wife, Jazz, was sent to the Top 30 during the same episode. However, she was eliminated during the Top 24 round.

Chris was cut just before the Top 12 after performing Like It Like That by Australian Idol alum Guy Sebastian. Amy called it a solid performance but felt it leaned too much into a karaoke-style approach that was a little too “true to the song.” Kyle, while impressed by his makeover, joked that he felt like he was at a “Christian youth concert” and said he needed to roughen up his image.

Jinja Blue, 21, QLD

Jinja Blue

Jinja Blue completely reimagined Call Me by Blondie and scored herself a Golden Ticket. Next, she performed with Hannah and John for the Top 24.

Her time on Idol ended in Episode 14 after a cover of Breathless by The Corrs, which Amy called “elegant and classic”. Kyle praised her beautiful delivery, while Marcia admired her determination and growth. However, despite the positive feedback, it wasn’t quite enough to push her into the Top 12.

Dinley Jones, 26, NSW

The Sydney Kings Mascot, Dinley Jones, had us grooving with his take on Classic by MKTO. He was part of the only group of four at the Top 24 alongside Abbey, Clint and Aaliyah.

Unfortunately Dinley was eliminated in Episode 13 during Transformation Week after performing DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love by Usher. While Amy called him “a born entertainer,” the judges were dubious about his vocals and versatility.

Majeda, 26, NSW

Majeda smiles brightly while auditioning on the Australian Idol 2025 stage, wearing a vibrant pink cropped hoodie, a studded white belt, and denim patchwork pants
Majeda. Image: Seven

Majeda had us feeling funky with her cover of Juice by Lizzo. She continued the vibe with a rendition of Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi with Henry and Chris during the group performance. She narrowly scraped into the Top 21 after forgetting lyrics and being put on notice three times during Top 30 week. “This is finally my moment to really prove myself and get the judges on my side,” she has said.

Her run ended in Episode 13 after covering Super Bass by Nicki Minaj. While the judges said it was her best performance yet, her earlier missteps meant she sadly fell short of the Top 12.

Izellah Connelly, 18, QLD

Izellah Connelly sings passionately while auditioning on the Australian Idol 2025 stage, wearing a denim dress and holding a microphone
Izellah Connelly. Image: Seven

Izellah Connelly had us in our feels with her soulful cover of Jealous by Labrinth. She performed with Marsall and Iilysh during the Top 24.

She was eliminated in Episode 13 after belting out  Dusk Till Dawn by Zayn. Marcia called her voice “compelling” and “outstanding,” while Amy described her as an “old soul of beauty.” But despite having one of the best voices in the competition, the judges (particularly Kyle) felt she wasn’t memorable enough to move forward.

Hazel Symonds, 16, VIC

Hazel Symonds‘ rendition of The One That Got Away by Katy Perry saw her score a Golden Ticket at the auditions. She went on to perform Katy’s song Firework with Kiedis and Gisella.

She was eliminated in Episode 12 during Transformation Week after singing Chandelier by Sia, with judges praising her voice but urging her to show more personality and vulnerability.

Clint Posselt, 29, QLD

Clint Posselt. Image: Seven

Clint Posselt had us doing a double take when he busted out a rap during his rendition of Black and Gold by Sam Sparro. The former Love Island Australia star was grouped with Abbie, Dinley and Aaliyah during the Top 24.

He missed out on a Top 21 spot after his take on Lovin On Me by rapper Jack Harlow in Episode 12. Kyle wasn’t impressed, calling it “de-cooled” and claimed, “One fan thought it was good, the rest of us thought it was shit.”

Jaylena Heuskes, 24, SA

Jaylena Heuskes blew the judges away with Senorita by Justin Timberlake at the auditions. She performed Dilemma by Kelly Rowland and Nelly in the Top 24 round with Giestare and Mzuki. She was eliminated in Episode 12 after singing Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter.

The judges praised her star quality, however, Marcia cautioned against exhausting the audience with too many high-energy performances, and asked to see some more stillness.

Abbie Ferries, 25, SA

Abbie Ferries was sent home from Australian Idol after singing Austin (Boots Stop Workin’) by Dasha, which the judges found lacklustre.

Kiedis, 16, WA

Having received multiple notices throughout the competition, Kiedis was eliminated after a touching rendition of This Town by Niall Horran, with the judges deeming him talented but too green for now.

Paxton Smith, 20, QLD

Paxton Smith tried her best to overcome some big emotions during soundcheck but was ultimately eliminated after a powerful performance of Bring Me to Life by Evanescence.

Noah Lagesse, 28, WA

Noah Lagesse was dumped from the competition after an overly “harsh” performance of Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Geistare was knocked out of Australian Idol 2025 after a gorgeous rendition of Kelly Rowland and Nelly’s Dilemma with Jaylena and Mzuki.

Henry West, 23, QLD

Liam Barton left Australian Idol 2025 after he took part in the group performance with a cover of Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer. The judges, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Kyle Sandilands and Marcia Hines, deemed his performance the weakest.

Shiloh Kayondo, 20, Queensland

MAFS 2025 Reunion Recap: The couples take the couch one last time

We made it! We’re stepping back to a time when we thought more than one couple would come out of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025. What fools we were!

Speaking of fools, the crowd goes absolutely wild over Ryan dropping Jacqui on the floor. It would also appear that time has healed this wound for Jacqui. Jamie, however, is emotional.

Time to get the couples up on the couch one last time.

Jamie and Dave: What was once our favourite pairing is up, reflecting on the time dopamine shot out of her ass.

Dave and Jamie meet with the experts after the experiment ends.
Felt good! Image: Nine.

They play back a mashup of Jamie and Dave’s MAFS 2025 experience, including the part where he shared the bed with Veronica. Ooft, I could cut the tension with one of Ryan’s Samurai Swords.

Awhina and Adrian: Awhina claims that Sierah tried to come back to the experiment with Adrian!!! Apparently they joked about the wife swap thing being a good idea and Sierah‘s really trying (and failing) to defend herself in this situation.

They watch the tapes back and Awhina is in tears witnessing how fucked Adrian is/was all over again.

Awhina cries watching back her time on MAFS with Adrian.
Thnx fr the mmrs. Image: Nine.

I hope Sierah clocked where Adrian ranked her on the photo ranking challenge. Hint: it wasn’t first or second.

Jacqui and Ryan: The main event has arrived. Jacqui tells the MAFS 2025 experts that she was crying over her breakup with Ryan for two weeks. Interesting. Didn’t she dump him? Wasn’t she laughing while she was doing it?

Jacqui sits with Ryan one last time on MAFS 2025.
No, that didn’t happen, actually. Image: Nine.

Anyway, she’s moving in with Clint and the entire room finds that absolutely hysterical.

“It’s very serious,” Clint tells the experts, likely because it’s hard to decipher whether Jacqui is.

They’re watching their experience back, and wow, it was really a bloody comedy, wasn’t it. Even Jacqui laughed at half of it, which tells us absolutely nothing.

Ryan listens to Jacqui on MAFS.
I am a shell of a human. Image: Nine.

Clint thinks Ryan’s behaviour was “disgraceful” and that there are no alarms about Jacqui, even after watching back the rollercoaster of a tape.

“I’ve actually fallen more for her since I’ve watched that,” he reckons.

Carina and Paul: Paul tries to throw Carina under the bus a 75th time by claiming she cares too much about what other people think. Paul, so do you. Look in the mirror.

Carina looks at Paul during MAFS 2025.
We are human. Image: Nine.

Alessandra does not appreciate him speaking over her.

Jeff reminds Paul that Carina was prioritising their relationship over what other people thought when she forgave him for the wall-punch.

Paul can’t even watch the tapes back, discovering how shit he truly was. Even Beth calls him a “pig” during it.

But no, even the tapes can’t slap him in the face with the truth, spitting that Carina also made mistakes.

Jamie is appalled listening to the MAFS 2025 cast.
Shut up. Image: Nine.

John tells him to stop playing the victim. He tells Paul how sickening it is that he now thinks he’s not compatible with Carina, because he can’t accept how he’s messed up.

Rhi and Jeff: They’ve spent like, two days alone since the experiment ended. Rhi also says Jeff is extremely consistent in this relationship.

The experts choose to steal a special moment between Jeff and Rhi, egging them on to say the L-word like a bunch of 7th graders.

Rhi and Jeff tell each other they love each other on MAFS 2025.
KISS!!!! Image: Nine.

“I do love you Rhi,” he tells her.

“I love you too.”

I am not in the right stage of my cycle to be crying this much.

THATS’ IT THAT’S IT THAT’S IT!!!!

Go off and live your lives, people.

MAFS’ Rhi and Jeff reveal how serious their relationship is

Married at First Sight 2025 (MAFS) has been the gift that keeps on giving (us a headache), with this season being one of the most dramatic yet.

There’s plenty of rumours going around about which MAFS newlyweds are still together and which ones have called it quits. But one couple who seem like real sweethearts are Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels, who caused a stir given their familiar history

So are Rhi and Jeff still together? Here’s what we know so far!

Rhi and Jeff’s big announcement

During the reunion Commitment Ceremony, Jeff revealed that the couple hadn’t said the big “I love you”… yet. After a bit of pushing from the group and the experts, Jeff stepped up to the plate.

“I do love you, Rhi,” Jeff said, with the group bursting into applause.

“I love you too,” Rhi replied, before they shared a kiss.

“It feels incredible. I think we have just been kind of waiting for somebody to say it,” Rhi said.

Jeff thanked the group for the prompt, and said it “feels amazing” to put it out there.

“The next step would probably be… I think just really enjoying normal life… maybe living together,” Jeff said. “We’re practically living together already.”

Rhi and Jeff tell each other they love each other on MAFS 2025.
Too cute. Image: Nine.

Rhi said it was great to “enjoy each other’s company” and said she wants to “settle down and have kids someday” — but not for at least a year.

Jeff thanked the experts for matching him with Rhi, and said “timing was everything”, and the “timing was right”.

These two look like they could really go all the way! Welcome back, Michael and Martha!

Did Rhi and Jeff say yes at Final Vows?

Well, we all saw this coming! Rhi and Jeff said yes at Final Vows, and their speeches were incredibly sweet. Both admitted to “falling in love” with each other, with hints that they’re going to last outside of the experiment.

Jeff went first, and he talked about how it was a little strange being paired with somebody he had already dated before, but it was all meant to be.

“The moment you said you were certain about us was the biggest turning point for me. It changed everything,” he recalled. “I can say with my whole heart that I’m thankful we gave ourselves to this experiment.”

“I can confidently say, Rhi, I am falling in love with you. Rhi, you’re it for me. I choose you and I hope this is forever.”

They said yes!!! Image: Nine

Rhi echoed Jeff’s words, saying that she was giving her all to this relationship.

“Moving into life post this experiment I can promise everything you have seen today: my time, affection and loyalty,” she said.

“I can promise a chance to discover what we were meant to be the second time around. Jeff, I have never been in love before, but there is something different here. And right now, I can say, I’m falling in love with you.”

They look like the real deal!

Are Rhi and Jeff still together?

Rhi and Jeff were recently seen looking pretty chuffed with each other as they attended Jeff’s 40th birthday in Melbourne in March. Daily Mail shared snaps of the pair holding hands as they walked down the street, which you can see here.

Previously, Rhi made some comments about her Valentine’s Day plans and while there was no mention of Jeff, there’s a little more to the story.

“Us girls are getting together and having a Galentine’s Day, just catching up for a nice lunch for Valentine’s Day,” she told Daily Mail. “Not sure what we’ll do at night.”

However, the brains behind popular MAFS Instagram account and podcast MAFSfunny, Joshua Fox, staked out the girls’ lunch and spotted Jeff dropping Rhi and Carina Mirabile off, with Jeff giving Rhi a kiss goodbye. While Rhi played coy, another source has told Chattr that the two are going strong and happier than ever.

Jamie Marinos also told Chattr that Rhi and Jeff are legit.

“Rhi and Jeff’s dynamic is just the complete opposite of what you’d find in the experiment, where it’s just not toxic at all. They’re just two people enjoying their time and being really kind to each other, which is really nice… there’s a lot of potential,” Jamie spilled.

Well, they certainly seem like one of the strongest pairs on screen right now!

Do Rhi and Jeff take part in the ‘grass is greener’ challenge?

As part of the Final Test Week, the couples are given the chance to meet an alternative match. However, they’re separated from their partner and have to make the decision in private.

Chattr is pleased to announce that Rhi and Jeff both choose not to meet another partner and continue to be the strong couple we all know and love. Thank goodness!

Do Rhi and Jeff make it to MAFS Final Vows?

An insider told Chattr that Rhi and Jeff do make it to Final Vows, and they say yes!

They’re apparently the only genuine couple at the end, and are believed to still be together. Could they be the next Martha and Michael? I sure hope so!

Rhi credited MAFS’ Intimacy Week to getting relationship with Jeff back on track

In an interview with Chattr, Rhi credited MAFS and Alessandra Rampolla’s Intimacy Week tasks with getting her and Jeff out of the friend zone.

“I feel like if it wasn’t for those [intimacy week] tasks, we would have had zero progression. You know, we talk about food and the gym, [but] there wasn’t a lot happening. Then, when you’re doing those tasks, it really does take you outside of your comfort zone,” Rhi shared.

“And I think that is why we got to really open up to each other, and why our relationship did progress. So there is a method behind the madness.”

MAFS' Rhi and Jeff share a kiss

In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Rhi also revealed that she and Jeff consummated their marriage a month into their new relationship, announcing the news at one of the intruder weddings, but the moment was cut from the episode.

“One of the big moments [that wasn’t shown] was Jeff and I actually slept together, and there was a massive announcement and someone screamed it across the room and everyone started cheering for us,” she said.

Jeff and Rhi’s pre-MAFS history

Jeff and Rhi walked down the MAFS aisle during their televised wedding in late July 2024, but their story started well before the experiment. Scandal!

Chattr confirmed that Rhi was already following Jeff on Instagram prior to filming, and the pair revealed on MAFS they dated for about a month before it “fizzled out”.

Despite going their separate ways, they stayed in touch prior to MAFS and attended the same gym, Hurt Locker Richmond.

Rhi and Jeff’s pairing

Rhi is a fitness enthusiast from Victoria, juggling her IT account manager role at Seisma Group with a side passion for wellness.

She co-runs a fitness-focused Instagram page, train.in.au, with her friend Shayna, where the duo shares gym reviews and wellness tips.

A friend described her as fun-loving and open-hearted, telling Daily Mail Australia, “She’s absolutely stunning inside and out”.

Her MAFS groom Jeff, meanwhile, is no stranger to the silver screen.

After playing Aussie Rules football with the Balwyn Football Club, Jeff landed minor roles on TV and film, including a stint on Neighbours in 2017.

These days, he seems mostly focused on business, running two companies: Fi Water, a fruit-infused drink brand, and Splash Water, a hard seltzer label.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Australian Idol 2025: Marshall Hamburger crowned the winner in epic finale

The Australian Idol 2025 Grand Finale has just finished and Marshall Hamburger has taken home the crown in a heated battle. There were over 1.2 million votes from around Australia, so it was a heated contest!

After thousands of hopefuls auditioned for judges Kyle Sandilands, Amy Shark, and Marcia Hines during the auditions, the Top 30 was selected.

Tonight, the top three went head-to-head to gain Australia’s votes and the massive prize. Gisella Colletti, Marshall and Iilysh Retallick were all vying for the crown, but only one could walk away with $100,000 in prize money and a recording contract with Hive Sound Studios.

The hosts revealed Gisella received the least amount of votes and she was eliminated first.

“I haven’t heard a voice like yours in such a long time,” Ricki-Lee Coulter told Gisella, before the judges showered her with praise. In a surprise twist, Ricki-Lee told Gisella that Tina Arena has invited Gisella to join her during her performance in Perth.

What else happened during the Australian Idol grand finale?

The rest of the Australian Idol top 12 joined Gisella, Marshall and Iilysh for a performance of Natasha Bedingfield‘s Unwritten to kick the show off with a bang.

“You couldn’t ask for a better top three,” Kyle declared.

Fans were blessed with three incredible performances from the finalists, as well as returning Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian, who sang his new single.

Kyle was also delivered a Cold Can and Iilysh spicy sausage in honour of the contestant, and he gave it his seal of approval.

Marshall sang Shake A Tailfeather by The Blues Brothers, and the crowd were all doing the mashed potato with him.

Amy called Marshall a “genius”, while Marcia said he really stayed true to himself.

“You bring joy and it is like Amy says, you’re just a very clever performer,” Marcia said. “We want to be entertained, that’s what you do my friend, well done.”

Kyle couldn’t believe Marshall was such a “seasoned, genius muso” at his young age.

For his second song, he performed Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by The Police.

The judges praised Marshall, with Amy saying he has “morphed into a superstar”.

The singer also performed a relaxed duet of You Make Me Feel Like Dancing with Leo Sayer on Sunday.

“Thank you so much to Leo Sayer for letting me share the stage with you. You’re an icon and a legend,” Marshall wrote after the performance.

Fans went wild for it, with one saying: “BurgerBoi for the win, you are fantastic.”

“Mashall good luck tonight, all our votes for you as always and we hope you win,” another added.

“The world needs so much more Hamburger music,” a third remarked.

What did Iilysh Retallick sing in the Australian Idol finale?

Iilysh sang good 4 u by rock queen Olivia Rodrigo, and she looked incredible in a punk-inspired tartan dress. She served up plenty of attitude as the camera spun around her.

“You’ve just become this rock chick, and I’m so proud of you, I wish you all the luck,” Marcia said.

Amy said she was “such a fan”, and told her to “get a band and get on the damn road” whether she wins or not.

Kyle said he could play Iilysh on the radio tomorrow and promised the singer if she didn’t win, he would “buy the band” so she could go on tour.

For her second song, she gave the crowd a rendition of her audition song You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette.

The judges gave her a standing ovation, and Kyle told her she “did it again”.

Iilysh and Wolfmother also joined forces on Sunday with a powerful version of Joker And The Thief, which blew fans away.

“I was there in the audience, and I have to say all three were incredible, but this, hands down, was the best performance!” a fan wrote.

“Iilysh def stole the show last night. Two amazing performances, good luck,” another added.

“This is the best, THE BEST duo I’ve ever seen on any of these platforms. This girl is just… I don’t know, just amazing,” a third said.

What did Gisella Colletti sing in the Australian Idol finale?

Gisella sang What A Feeling as a power ballad, wearing a glamorous purple ballgown and looking like a true pop star.

“You’re incredible and I must say my husband who is a massive fan of the show, said [he] can’t believe Gisella is only 17,” Amy said. “You are incredible, well done.”

Gisella thanked the judges and said she was “happy to be there” to “share her gift”.

“This is my absolute dream and whatever happens, happens. If I win Australian Idol, great,” she said.

The singer also performed a duet of Heaven Help My Heart on Sunday with Tina Arena. She belted the song out with ease, and fans were obsessed.

“Perfect blend of voices! Nobody trying to outdo the other. This is true stardom,” one person wrote on Instagram.

“Just amazing. What a perfect duo,” another added.

“One of the most amazing and wholesome duets I have ever seen,” a third commented.

I went to a MAFS reunion afterparty and here’s what it was really like

As Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 wraps up for another year, the cast have started to make more and more public appearances as they capitalise on their newfound fame.

With the final episode airing tonight, the MAFS cast landed in Sydney to celebrate the last two episodes, gathering together in two groups to watch the reunion dinner party. Of course, there was the one party where Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot got engaged, surrounded by their closest fans (and Dave Hand and Billy Belcher). And there was another party where a bunch of the MAFS cast gathered for their own reunion dinner to watch the reunion dinner.

As someone who has written about MAFS for a worrying amount of years (eight to be exact) when I got an invite to attend a MAFS afterparty featuring some of the cast, well, who was I to say no. The last time I was in a room with a bunch of MAFS people was by accident in 2018 after running into a flock of them at the Coogee Pav. A 2017 groom, whose name sounds like Shmick Murphy, then yelled at me when he found out I was in the media, saying all I do is make up lies for New Idea.

I’ve never worked for New Idea in my life. But I digress…

I put on my best cocktail attire (some random playsuit I bought 10 years ago that I found at the back of my closet), slapped on my best face (Maybelline dream mousse. I’m kidding. Or am I?), and trotted off to Sydney’s Oxford Street at the ungodly hour of 10pm (aka my bedtime) to see what really happens at a MAFS Reunion party.

What attending a MAFS cast party is really like

The Daily Mail put on the event, and many familiar faces attended. While the site had hosted a reunion dinner party for everyone prior, with their very own honesty box too (which you can read about here), not everyone made it from dinner to the afterparty.

Jeff Gobbels, Rhi Disljenkovic, Awhina Rutene and Jamie Marinos were sadly nowhere to be seen post-dinner, but gracing the event were Carina Mirabile, Beth Kelly, Ryan Donnelly, Eliot Donovan, Paul Antoine, Teejay Halkias, Adrian Araouzou, and Tony Mojanovski.

Rumours circulated that Jamie and Awhina ditched the event after Adrian unexpectedly showed up.

So what’s attending an event with the MAFS cast really like? Pretty chaotic.

While some viewers mock the “15 seconds of fame” cast get after appearing on the show, or attempt to dismiss their experiences, there’s no denying having all eyes on you at every waking second would be hard work.

From cameras pointing at them at every moment to people introducing themselves and trying to pull various stars away for chats, there was never a moment where a MAFS star would be left alone.

They mainly stuck together: I didn’t witness Paul or Carina interact personally, but I did ask Paul about his new meme fame with his curiosity taking off on TikTok. “It’s very funny,” he laughed, like a man still kinda in pain about it all. “I did one the other day!”

@araz.twins Get funnier everytime I watch this back 😂 He was genuinely just cuwious! #mafs #marriedatfirstsightaustrailia #mafsuk #mafsaustralia #fyp ♬ original sound – araz.twins

If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em as they say.

To be fair to Paul, he was the friendliest groom in attendance. Some were distracted with prowling eyes on every new woman who walked into the bar. Others, were thoroughly enjoying their newfound fame and had eyes only for the cameras tracking their every move. I’ll leave you guys to your own guesses.

An unexpected MAFS friendship blossoms

Perhaps one of the more surprising things to witness was Ryan and Beth actively not hating each other. In fact, they seemed to be getting along just fine and dandy after their infamously frosty partner-swap on the show.

Given the big news that Ryan’s ex Jacqui just got engaged, he was the man of the moment, with everyone wanting to know his thoughts, thoughts he was happy to dish out, but more importantly, our boy just wanted to dance the night away.

As aforementioned, other grooms looked to be on the prowl and skipped chatting with any media or average strangers (aka me) to chat up any good-looking gals in the room. I’d love to tell you if any were successful, but that would mean I’d have to stick around way longer than I wanted to, and I think it could’ve only been interesting watching their attempts if David Attenborough was narrating it.

The party could’ve only been made better if Morena Farino was DJ-ing it.

A room of familiar faces

There’s nothing like a party to bring a bunch of previous reality stars together, and there were notable faces from various seasons of other shows including Fboy Island, The Bachelor, and previous seasons of MAFS.

Suzan Mutesi, a woman who definitely exists and who was definitely on a show once upon a time according to my Google search, was there chatting Paul’s ear off at some stage, with Jane Lu (aka The Lazy CEO) also popping up. Al Perkins, the loveable golden retriever pup from MAFS 2022 was also in attendance.

Some man from Fboy Island told me he was going to apply for MAFS next season, but thinks he’s too young to get married, so he’ll try in a few years. Never give up on your dreams, random man!

I decided to call it quits after about an hour and a half and one free drink that tasted like it came directly from my 2012 goon punch days. If you ever had a goon punch era, you know one is a slippery slope and I had work the next day.

In conclusion: these MAFS participants have worked hard to fill our screens with drama for the last few months – and I definitely didn’t need to be aware of anything that happened past midnight. I’d rather just get a producer’s edit later.

Australian Idol finalist Gisella Colletti reveals which judge helped her the most

Viewers have watched as Australian Idol 2025 judges Marcia Hines, Kyle Sandilands, and Amy Shark have supported the contestants during the auditions and live shows, but do they play a bigger part behind the scenes?

Apparently so! Australian Idol finalist Gisella Colletti told Chattr in an exclusive interview that she felt really supported by one judge in particular.

“I spoke with Marcia a couple times, and she’s probably the best judge in the sense that she really gives amazing advice and is really down to earth and lovely”, she said, adding that all the judges are “the best people in the world”.

Gisella told Chattr that she took a lot from the feedback the judges gave her during her performances and believed that it helped her grow stronger as a singer on her Australian Idol journey, adding that Marcia’s tips helped her the most.

“I’ve really taken into account her advice and Kyle as well,” she said. “Marcia told me to take deep breaths and things like that before I go on stage to perform. And that really, really helped with my nerves.”

Do the hosts help the Australian Idol contestants?

Scott Tweedie and Ricki-Lee Coulter are the hosts of Australian Idol 2025, and the latter was an Idol contestant back in 2004.

During a pre-season interview with Chattr, Ricki-Lee said that she tried to comfort the contestants throughout their time on the show, because she knew firsthand how nerve racking it can be.

“I know what it’s like to go through the process; everyone is always hyper-aware of everything that’s going on around them, and they read into everything.

“So if you talk more to one person, they think about that. So, I’m always conscious of making sure that everyone gets time. I have personal time with everyone. I have a chat with every single person when we first get to set.

“I go and look at everyone in the eyes, and I say, ‘Good luck’. You’re amazing. I say the same thing to everyone. So no one feels like, ‘Oh, my God. She talked to me, I’m going home.’”

Gisella told Chattr that Ricki-Lee went out of her way to offer advice, and it was something she really appreciated.

“Scott and Ricki are with us during rehearsals, so we get to talk with Ricki and Scott and they’re they’re really nice. I asked Ricky a couple of times for advice because she’s obviously been on before,” she said.

Gisella has made it to the Top 3 alongside Marshall Hamburger and Iilysh Retallick, with the Australian Idol winner being crowned during the finale on April 7.

MAFS’ Sierah goes off about Adrian and Awhina in leaked text: ‘I hate you’

The Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 reunion dinner party was so chaotic it’s nearly hard to remember exactly everything that went down.

From Clint Rice and Jacqui Burfoot’s hard launch, to Jamie Marinos and Dave Hand’s breakup, there was a lot to unpack in last night’s episode. One former couple also at the centre of the drama, however, was Awhina Rutene and Adrian Araouzou who had a bitter falling out during the dinner party, with Sierah Swepstone playing a sneaky part in it all.

If you’re struggling to keep up with all the drama from last night (same) let’s dive into it.

What happened between Adrian, Sierah and Awhina?

Obviously, there was no love lost between Awhina and Sierah during the experiment, after Sierah failed to mention to once-friend Awhina that she and Adrian had a secret dinner together. Or, more accurately, they “shared a plate of meat”.

Showing up to the reunion, Sierah was set for revenge, coming armed with information that Awhina had bagged out Adrian behind his back, calling him dumb and saying he can’t spell or run a business. However, the group had already heard of text messages circulated where Sierah said some nasty things about Awhina to Adrian.

MAFS' Sierah and Adrian
MAFS’ Sierah came back to the reunion ready for revenge. Image: Nine

Sierah’s bombshell did cause a big blowup between Adrian and Awhina however, and there looks to be no sort of reconciliation there between the pair. May their relationship RIP.

Sierah then bizarrely exited the dinner party halfway through her short-lived return to our TV screens, no longer wanting to affiliate with her MAFS co-stars.

Awhina’s twin sister Cleo reveals Sierah’s text to Adrian

Now Awhina’s twin sister, Cleo, has dropped one of the texts Sierah sent to Adrian. And, look, Sierah sure wasn’t happy with Adrian or Awhina… or, well, anyone really.

Labelling the MAFS participants as “nasty c*nts” Sierah then went off at Adrian, saying she was angry at him about how everyone came after her for being mates with him. She then went onto rant about Awhina’s “tacky weave” and Billy and Awhina lying “through their teeth” at the second commitment ceremony.

Sierah also tells Adrian that the last Dinner Party she was at affected her mental health, and told him that she hated both him and Awhina.

“Biggest regret was having anything to do with you because look how I was treated for it and you came away unscathed,” Sierah said.

Read the whole message below.

MAFS fans react to Sierah’s text

MAFS fans were torn in the Instagram comments, with some feeling bad for Sierah and others calling her out for her behaviour.

“‘Everyone had a problem with me’, OK so what is the common denominator???” one person questioned. “Wild that she sent this to Adrian but came for Awhina… like come for the one you’re mad at,” another pointed out.

“I feel sorry for her. She’s really hurt and lashing out. She wrote her mental health has gotten really bad. I hope she’s okay,” someone else said. “This show seems quite damaging to the mental health of many of the contestants,” another agreed.

“Poor girl needs some help. Using the word hate is really sad. I hope she seeks some support to build her self-esteem,” another MAFS fan commented.

The MAFS finale is airing tonight, so I guess we’ll see whether Sierah gets any couch time to resolve things with Awhina and Adrian!

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025’s air date has dropped, along with some spicy details

‘Tis almost Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2025 season, and four new Farmers will throw their hats in the ring in search of their forever love.

FWAW is largely considered to be one of Australia’s most wholesome reality shows, and with 11 marriages and 27 kids coming from the franchise, it’s not hard to see why.

But, FWAW 2024 upped the scandal quota, when Farmer Bert opted to dump all of his remaining women and exit the experiment early. And it looks as though the 2025 season will be just as spicy, with Channel 7 confirming that two Ladies will leave less than 24 hours after arriving.

But, it won’t be all drama. The network has also shared that one mystery Farmer from the past will return and propose to his partner.

As we eagerly count down to FWAW 2025, we’ve popped together a guide on everything you need to know about the new season.

Is there a Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 trailer?

There is, watch it below.

Who will be the host of Farmer Wants a Wife 2025?

In August 2024, Samantha Armytage announced that she would leave her role as the host of the Channel 7 show. She held the position for the 2023 and 2024 seasons after taking over from former host Natalie Gruzlewski.

Since then, Samantha announced that she is taking on the role of host of The Golden Bachelor Australia, which will air on Channel 9 in 2025.

Channel 7 has since confirmed that Natalie will be returning as the host of FWAW. Seven Chief Content Officer Brook Hall shared the news at the annual Upfronts event in late 2024.

“We’re actually filming this week, the final decisions and a couple of Farmers are very, very happy where they are. So I think we’re going to have more of those success stories again,” he said of the upcoming instalment.

Sounds like that FWAW baby count is going to keep on rising!

Body language expert decodes MAFS’ Clint and Jacqui’s shock engagement: ‘Desperate’

We’re on the home stretch towards the end of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025, and the shocks keep coming on and off screen, with Clint Rice asking Jacqui Burfoot to marry him during a MAFS reunion viewing party.

The MAFS reunion was filmed in November last year, and it’s where Clint and Jacqui made their public debut as a couple. Last night, Clint proposed to Jacqui at So Dramatic’s reunion viewing party, saying, “We signed up for Married at First Sight to get married, [and] to find a life partner. So I’ve got one question for you…” before dropping to his knee and presenting Jacqui with a massive engagement ring.

Combined Communications Specialist and Body Language Expert Scott Taylor has been commentating on MAFS for weeks now, giving insight into the storylines we’re seeing play out on our screens.

Now, he’s weighed in on the shock engagement, claiming that Jacqui and Clint are trying to maintain relevancy.

“From the MAFS [reunion] episode and all the recent socials, I believe that Clint and Jacqui are not in a true relationship,” Scott told Chattr. “All the posts have the jeweller tagged in it as well, which would have been the promo contra for the publicity stunt. Get ready for twelve weeks of social media madness as I predicted weeks ago.”

Body language expert decodes MAFS’ Clint and Jacqui’s relationship

Scott also commented on the pair’s debut as a couple on the MAFS reunion episode, reading into their body language as they announced their relationship to the cameras.

“They lack alignment with their non-verbals,” Scott said. “The affection appears to be staged, not natural and I don’t see the behaviours we traditionally see with connected couples.”

At the Dinner Party, Scott noted other ‘superficial’ behaviours when the couple got into a heated discussion with Jacqui’s ex, Ryan Donnelly.

“Clint leans away from Jacqui, he doesn’t have an aligned and open ventral area and power zones. It is superficial, and I don’t believe it’s legitimate,” Scott said. “They asked Clint, ‘Did you pay for her ticket?’ and he said, ‘Essentially I paid for it,’ so that means he paid and was probably reimbursed by the network.”

Scott made mention of Clint’s comments about where Ryan lives showing insight into his “true character”.

“Clint’s response of I’m not in a Western Suburbs shithouse etc., gave insight as to his true character and any chance of them clambering for social media followers just took a nosedive. Ryan should not have kept pushing about it and Clint should not have been peacocking like he was.”

Scott also said he didn’t think Jacqui and Clint would go to this ‘desperate’ level for attention, calling their connection ‘unnatural’ in his videos.

Chattr has reached out to Clint about Scott’s comments.

Clint and Jacqui address surprise engagement

Clint and Jacqui spoke with The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick this morning, addressing their engagement, with Jacqui saying she’s “beyond happy”.

“I’m in shock, honestly, it happened so quick! I feel so lucky. I’m madly in love with Clint and I’m so excited. I’m beyond happy,” she said.

The couple said they’ve been dating since mid-November, with Jacqui confirming they’ve been living together since the end of the reunion.

“I’ve been to New Zealand and met all Jacqui’s family and Jacqui’s met all my family in Tassie,” Clint said. “We’re with each other 24/7, literally, we are together every day, all day. We hang out and work together.”

MAFS 2025 reunion: The Dinner Party was absolutely unhinged

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 has been full of drama and surprises this year, and rumour has it that the reunion is filled with some shocking moments.

We’ll get to see a new couple emerge, there’s talk of some heated arguments, and what’s going to happen when sworn enemies get pulled back into each other’s presence?

Chattr has rounded up some exclusive info from inside sources and current contestants, so you can get a jump on what to expect. We know who is skipping the big event, and have some juicy gossip about the big storylines.

When will the MAFS 2025 reunion air on TV in Australia and is there a trailer?

This year’s Reunion episodes will air on Channel Nine and 9Now on April 6 and 7, 2025.

Check out a spicy sneak peek below.

When was the MAFS reunion filmed?

Filming wrapped sometime in September 2024, and the reunion was filmed in November 2024.

Here’s everything that went down during the reunion Dinner Party

Sierah’s big Awhina and Adrian reveal

Sierah Swepstone was on a MISSION. She wanted everyone to “get fucked”, and she seemed to have just attended the reunion to stir up shit. It was entertaining, honestly.

After Awhina Rutene and Sierah got into a bit of a fight, Sierah revealed that Awhina called Adrian Araouzou “stupid” and criticised his business behind his back. According to Adrian, this is the worst thing anybody could do. Someone literally punched a wall on this season of MAFS, but go off I guess.

At the dinner table, Awhina denied saying all of what Sierah said. She refused to clarify exactly what she said and ended up in a shouting match with Adrian.

“It’s as low as it gets,” Adrian said. “If I knew these things sooner, I would have been gone long ago. Those are low blows. The truth [was] unveiled, and for me, it was the nail in the coffin.”

@chattrau Don't mess with Awhina! 😈 @araz.twins @Cleo Rutene #mafs #mafsau #mafsaustralia #reunion #adrian #awhina ♬ Not Like Us – Kendrick Lamar

Awhina then dropped some iconic lines, saying she was happy for Adrian to paint her as the bad guy.

“Adrian, you’ve said things about me, you’ve done some things [to] me and I’m consistently forgiving you,” Awhina said.

“I’m just forever going to be the bad guy, and you know what? I can be the bad guy in his story, because he’s the fucking devil in mine.”

Jamie and Dave have broken up

Love is dead! Jamie Marinos swanned into the reunion solo, and revealed that she had broken up with Dave Hand a week before this Dinner Party. It seems that history has repeated itself, because Dave once again grew distant and refused to address his feelings with Jamie.

“He just can never be honest with how he’s feeling, ever,” she said through tears. “It’s just so frustrating because it’s like I had to initiate the breakup, I had to initiate the conversation like he’s not into me.”

@chattrau SAY 👏 IT 👏 LOUDER 👏 #mafs #mafsau #mafsaustralia #jamie #dave #reunion #adrian #awhina #beth #carina #paul ♬ That's My Girl – Fifth Harmony

The other brides rallied around Jamie and they had a little bitch session about how all the men on the show are losers. Truer words have never been spoken!

“He strung me along… Dave just wouldn’t ever be honest with how he was feeling and he’s done it to me twice,” Jamie added. “It’s just really sad because it was real for me and he just couldn’t figure out how to tell me.”

Paul had a tantrum over Carina dumping him

If there’s an award for the most out-of-touch man of the season, Paul Antoine would win it. He told producers he believes Carina Mirable has a “crazy jealousy problem” — even though HE’S the one who punched a wall out of jealousy — and declared that Carina is definitely a “snob”.

Someone is feeling a bit bitter after being dumped, it seems.

“The rejection, it just didn’t sit well with me,” he told the group at the dinner table. He thinks Carina can’t take criticism, she’s “extremely judgemental” and has “massive trust issues”. Ouch.

@chattrau Carina dodged a bullet 🫡 #MAFS #mafsau #mafsaustralia #reunion #carina #paul ♬ Bluest Flame – Selena Gomez & benny blanco

Carina said the “vibe” between her and Paul was “really weird”. “We are both in different spaces, and it’s gotten to the point where, like, I don’t know how to act around him,” she said.

“He put us in this position, not me,” Carina said.

“Once again Paul has shown me everything I do not want in a man. Paul and I are done.”

Jacqui and Clint finally make their debut as a couple

We all knew it was coming, but seeing Jacqui Burfoot yelling about how she “tried her ass off” at Ryan Donnelly wasn’t on my bingo card!

Jacqui and Clint Rice came in separately to the reunion Dinner Party, but swiftly announced their new relationship to the group, followed by a lot of PDA.

They said they have been dating for two weeks, but Ryan is convinced their relationship started much earlier than that. Jacqui didn’t help her case when she told the group she had plans to move in with Clint in Tasmania, even though Final Vows was just four weeks ago.

MAFS 2025 reunion jacqui and clint
There was a LOT of kissing. Image: Nine

“Clint lives in a really nice place and there is space for Jacqui. He’s cleared out half of the walk-in wardrobe for me,” she said.

“I’ve got my own shower, like we’ve got his and her showers, his and her vanity; I’ve got a house key, a tennis court and a bike. We’re starting a business together, which is actually the best part.”

Apparently starting a business with a partner is her “love language”? Sounds like a recipe for disaster, but whatever floats your boat!

Adrian dishes on Sierah’s bombshell during the MAFS 2025 reunion

Adrian previously shared some spoilers about what goes down at the reunion.

“I think even at the reunion, I think we’re gonna see some true colours of what people were saying,” Adrian tells Chattr.

Apparently, Awhina and Sierah start “kicking off”, when Adrian intervenes. Things get messy after Sierah exposes what Awhina had kept secret from her husband.

“Sierah was like, ‘Well, why don’t you say to Adrian the things that you were saying behind his back? Like he’s stupid, he can’t spell, his business sucks. But you made out that you wanted to be with him’,” Adrian recalls.

“I said to Awhina, ‘Did you say that?’, and she deflects… and I said, ‘Awhina, don’t lie to me. Did you say that?’ And she’s like, ‘Yes’.” he says.

Adrian then walks off, with Awhina coming to him later to try and explain what she meant rather than apologising.

“I was just like, ‘Just get out of my face’,” Adrian says. “Like, that’s low. It’s not what I do to someone and nor am I gonna accept that. And we go into the final Commitment Ceremony and I say exactly that. I’m like, ‘This is where our friendship ends. Because you know, I would never treat anyone like that’.”

Sierah Swepstone MAFS reunion 2025
Sierah is back and she’s going to cause chaos! Image: Nine

An insider has backed this up, claiming that Billy Belcher and Awhina like to play the victim.

“Billy and Awhina were always playing victim on camera when they knew about stuff well in advance,” the insider spills.

“Their fight at the reunion could be either to do with Awhina already knowing about Sierah and Adrian opening up and going to dinner, and pretending to be blindsided to play victim,” the source adds.

“Or Awhina said mean stuff about Adrian. There was lots [going on at reunion], I’m not sure what [producers] honed in on.”

What happens between Jamie and Dave at the MAFS reunion?

Dave also admitted to losing feelings for Jamie during the reunion, with the bride blaming her husband for not taking accountability.

“What I saw at the reunion was that pretty much [Jamie] saying, ‘You couldn’t be honest with me, I had to be the one to be like, hey this is not gonna work, this is over. And you just sat there and agreed and didn’t fight for it’,” Adrian told us.

“They show her walking off and crying,” he adds. “[Jamie tells Dave], ‘You were never honest. I had to call us off post-show. You weren’t really texting [me]… I had to break it up because you didn’t have the balls to do that again when deep down, you knew you didn’t want to be with me.’”

Yikes. It was BAD! Ohhh, the Jamie stans are not gonna like this one.

Unlikely couple swap ahead of MAFS 2025 reunion

As we gear up for the reunion episode, The Daily Mail reported a very unlikely coupling between Carina Mirable and Billy, with the two spotted looking friendly ahead of filming the reunion last year.

According to production insiders, Billy initially contacted Beth Kelly, suggesting they attend the reunion together as a couple. When Beth shut him down, Billy slid into Carina’s DMs, with the source telling Daily Mail that it “started off flirty”.

“They were Facetiming a lot and hanging out. It was like an unexpected and surprising friendship that caught everyone off guard,” they said.

What else happens during the MAFS 2025 reunion?

Ryan [Donnelly] didn’t take the news of Jacqui and Clint dating well and had a go at Jacqui,” a source claimed. “He was intimidating her and calling her names, but Awhina stood up for the bride.”

Clint told Chattr he wasn’t able to reveal too much about the reunion, but teased a “shock return”. Spicy!

Another big storyline will be concerning how upset Jacqui was that Clint swore at Jamie Marinos during the Couples Retreat.

On Instagram, Jacqui hinted at something big playing out on TV.

“No, I’m not okay with [Clint’s behaviour] and we had that conversation about it on air,” she said. “I was heartbroken because Jamie was my biggest advocate the whole experiment. It comes out at reunion. Watch this space.”

Teejay Halkias told Chattr that the reunion is “pretty crazy” and wilder than the Dinner Parties.

“If you think that Dinner Parties throughout the season were tumultuous, you need to wait for this one, because this one is absolutely hectic,” he teased. “And yeah, I think I am at the forefront of some of it as well, too.”

However, his wife Beth Kelly clarified and told Chattr that it wasn’t “explosive” between her and Teejay.

“By the time it came around to reunion, I was kind of over it, and I couldn’t really be assed addressing anything. So, I mean, maybe [Teejay] was in the hot seat. I don’t really remember,” she said.

Jamie also told Chattr the reunion would be ‘chaos’ but she had just been excited to drink wine and eat bread with Awhina again.

“For everyone who’s been watching our entire series, you can see this season’s been wild, like, you can’t trust us. Of course, it’s [the reunion] going to be chaos,” she said. “I mean, I usually just go to the Dinner Party for the wine and the bread, which I think most people can see, me and Awhina are just constantly eating and drinking our wine, I’m there for that, and anything extra is added juice on top.”

MAFS 2025 Jamie Reunion
Jamie has labelled the reunion as ‘chaos’. Image: Nine

Meanwhile, Awhina told us she “felt more authentically” herself at reunion than she had “throughout the entire experiment”. Previously, she said she “protected” Adrian at Final Vows and “went against [her] nature”.

“I finally got to go home, and I had space from all [those] external head points, and I had space from someone pushing their reality onto me, I just felt more myself that day than I had since Friends and Family [week],” she said. “I feel like I just gave up after friends and family.”

Jeff Gobbels labelled the reunion “intense”, saying, “It was a big couple of days. We did some very long hours. But yeah, when that all wrapped up, it was a nice feeling.”

With the reunion hinting that Sierah was returning with a big bombshell, Jeff admitted they weren’t entirely across whatever drama Sierah came armed with.

“I didn’t even know that happened until I saw that trailer! Where they’re having that discussion, that’s not actually even at the Dinner Party. I had no idea what’s going on there,” Jeff laughed.

Which MAFS cast members attend the reunion?

An insider told us that most of the MAFS cast members attend the reunion.

Along with Jacqui, Clint, Awhina, Ryan and Jamie, you’ll also see Veronica Cloherty, Beth Kelly, Carina Mirable, Sierah Swepstone, Rhi Disljenkovic, Katie Johnson, Ashleigh Ackerman, Teejay Halkias, Eliot Donovan, Jeff Gobbels, Dave Hand, Paul Antoine, Billy Belcher, Tony Mojanovski and Adrian Araouzou.

However, Lauren Hall, Morena Farina, Tim Gromie and Jake Luik all skipped the reunion.

The reunion is generally a really interesting episode, as the contestants get to see some of their behaviour and how it played out on screen. It’s a chance for everyone to reflect and apologise for behaviour that may not have been the best, after a bit of time and space away from the experiment.

That being said, it’s unlikely the cast will walk away harmoniously and chuffed with each other. Can’t wait for it to all play out!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
