Belle Gibson’s axed cookbook is selling for a wild price online amid Apple Cider Vinegar release

Calling all Apple Cider Vinegar fans, if you want to buy and create some of the meals that Belle Gibson wrote in her cookbook, you can buy this now-defunct book on eBay. But, it won’t come cheap.

Belle’s cookbook, The Whole Pantry: 100 Recipes for Eating Deliciously, Getting Back to Basics, and Living a Well-nourished Life, was written to help others on their healing journey or to discover “what it means to be truly nourished.”

Publisher Penguin Books pulled the wellness cookbook from shelves in 2015 after claims began emerging that Belle’s diagnosis was fraudulent.

Since Apple Cider Vinegar premiered on Netflix, Belle’s story has become a global phenomenon. At the time of publishing, there are five copies of the Apple Cider Vinegar for sale, the most expensive priced at $137 and the cheapest at $60.

Sydney-based comedian Mitchell Coombs, a self-admitted fan of the Netflix show and the Belle saga in general, saw that the cookbook was being sold online.

In a recent Instagram Reel, Mitchell said he placed a bid on the infamous cookbook but was outbid! He asked his followers if he should fight back and place a $173 bid on the book. No word if he ended up winning the auction, though.

What is Apple Cider Vinegar about?

The Belle-inspired Netflix show is set around when Instagram first started.

According to Netflix, the show “follows two young women who set out to cure their life-threatening illnesses through health and wellness, influencing their global online communities along the way.” This would be incredibly inspiring if it were true.

“This is a true-ish story based on a lie about the rise and fall of a wellness empire, the culture that built it up and the people who tore it down.”

If your heart is set on the cookbook mentioned in Apple Cider Vinegar, perhaps check eBay.

Apple Cider Vinegar is now available to stream on Netflix.

Will Katie Johnston return to MAFS 2025?

After a disastrous first week on Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025Katie Johnston and her TV hubby, Tim Gromie, decided to leave the experiment, and neither showed any signs of returning.

Tim and Katie’s relationship was a catastrophe from the very beginning. At the wedding, Tim told a producer that Katie wasn’t his type and that he was hoping for someone “short, petite and blonde or brunette”. On the first night of their honeymoon, Tim admitted to Katie that he didn’t feel a spark, and the pair slept in separate beds.

The pair officially ended their relationship at the first Commitment Ceremony when they wrote leave on their decision cards. But could Katie return to the experiment with someone else?

In previous years, some participants who failed to find love within their first matchup returned to the experiment and were rematched by the experts. For example, MAFS 2024 groom Simon Flocco left the show before walking down the aisle to Michael Felix. Mike was rematched with WA hairdresser Stephen Stewart, and the two re-entered as intruders.

So, will Katie be given the same option? We investigate.

MAFS 2025's Tim and Katie at their wedding.

Will Katie re-enter MAFS as an intruder?

It’s already been confirmed that MAFS 2025 participants Lauren Hall and Eliot Donovan will return as intruders and marry new partners after their original coupling didn’t work.

Katie’s troublesome relationship with Tim played out for the entire first week of MAFS 2025, and thousands of fans around Australia—as well as MAFS 2024 bride Lucinda Light—rallied for her. However, despite the support, it doesn’t sound like she’ll be returning to the experiment.

Ali Daher, who’s the senior showbiz reporter for Daily Mail Australia and, more often than not, has inside info on the MAFS contestants, was asked if Katie will return during an interview on A Bit Rogue podcast.

“No,” Ali confirmed. “Lauren comes back, though.”

Will Katie return for the experiment next year?

While it doesn’t sound like she will be donning a white dress again for MAFS 2025, there are already whispers of Katie returning next season.

It won’t be the first time it’s happened, either. Elizabeth Sobinoff first appeared on MAFS 2019 where she was matched with Sam Ball.

Much like Tim and Katie’s relationship, the couple’s union quickly went down in flames. Elizabeth returned for MAFS 2020 and ‘married’ Sebastian Guilhaus, and while they continued to date after the show, they broke up after 14 months.

During Ali’s interview on A Bit Rogue, he laughed that they should “spread a rumour that Katie’s coming back next year”.

And it seems that the plan is already in action. Instagram account MAFS Funny shared a photo of a truck with a huge sign reading “Bring back Katie in 2025”, accompanied by a photo of the bride in her wedding dress.

Fans beg for her return

Although MAFS 2025 has already finished filming, that hasn’t stopped fans from campaigning for Katie’s return.

“Katie needs to be matched to someone else. Get rid of dipstick and match her to someone else. She deserves better!” One person wrote on Instagram.

“She was such a beautiful radiant light! She deserves someone who can match her,” another fan commented.

Whether Katie returns to find love on reality TV or she finds it in real life, we hope she continues to love herself for the beautiful woman she is.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025 Episode 9 Recap: The audacity of these grooms

Some serious guts were being whipped out in front of the MAFS experts tonight, hey? Let’s get right into the MAFS recap for Season 12, Episode 9: our very first Commitment Ceremony.

Who left MAFS?

Lauren and Eliot: Nada. Gone. Non-existent. Farewell! (But we’ll see them again soon.)

Tim and Katie: Tim showed up at the last minute (nice one, production) to say that Katie was too busy checking her emails to get to know him.

Sadly for Tim and the several seasons of shit-stirrers that came before him, John Aiken informs our former emo that he’s a gaslighter. They both write Leave, and I’m fine seeing the back of him — yes, because he’s a big meany but also because I hate how he dresses. Sue me!

Katie and Tim at the MAFS Commitment Ceremony.
thnx fr the mmrs! Image: Nine.

Who’s staying?

Jamie and DaveThey’re having sex and able to be themselves together. Love!

Rhi and JeffThey’ve kissed! But no penetrating because they did that last time and it messed things up, apparently.

Carina and Paul: They’re on “cloud nine” even though they had the chance to be on cloud nine eight months ago without cameras.

Carina and Paul during MAFS 2025 Episode 9.
Not buying it, soz guys! Image: Nine.

Adrian and AwhinaAdrian has done a 180 and now realises that if he loves Awhina, her having a child will not be an issue. This only makes me trust him less.

Sierah and Billy: They’re opening up and Sierah thinks he’s hot, I guess? Nothing major to report on.

Tony and MorenaI don’t know what the fuck’s going on here, but I can tell you one thing: they’re both hating life. Step number one? Practising the pronunciation of Morena’s name until it’s PERFECT.

Morena and Tony have differences at the MAFS commitment ceremony.
THAT’S NOT MY NAME, THAT’S NOT MY NAME. Image: Nine.

Jacqui and Ryan: Wow, Ryan: Warrior Princess actually has the guts to question the MAFS experts’ choice. To their faces. Is this… an acting thing?

He can’t understand why they paired him and Jacqui together, even though they are able to bond over “crypto” and current affairs — something that is absolutely not on my relationship’s bonding chart.

Sadly, they have fundamental issues over the air conditioning temperature and Jacqui’s tendency to laugh when Ryan speaks.

Ryan addresses the MAFS experts on why they paired him with Jacqui.
Please never leave; you are too entertaining. Image: Nine.

Jake and Ashleigh: Jake had the audacity to write “Leave” after giving unsolicited commentary on every woman during the photo ranking challenge. If I had said what he did (I wouldn’t), I’d leave out of sheer embarrassment too.

If he can say things that fucked within Week 2, imagine if he stayed until Week 8. Anyway, fuck it was awkward to watch as the women found out what he said about them. Painful, even.

Kyle Sandilands reveals that doctors have discovered a second aneurysm

Radio host Kyle Sandilands has shared a sad update about discovering a second brain aneurysm in light of his diagnosis earlier this week.

Kyle initially revealed live on air during The Kyle and Jackie O Show on February 3 that he had aa brain aneurysm and requires urgent surgery

“On Friday, I was told by my medical team, which sounds like I’m already very sick, to have a medical team, that I have a brain aneurysm, and it requires immediate attention, brain surgery,” he said.

“So if you just tuned in to us after all these years, lap it up. And if you’re in Melbourne, you’re coming to the party too late. You may get your wish, I may be dead. It’s possible, it’s highly possible.”

Kyle shares an update about a second aneurysm

During the Kyle and Jackie O show that was released on February 7, Kyle explained that the surgery to remove his brain aneurysm would be complex and revealed that doctors discovered a second aneurysm in his chest. Kyle told Jackie that the surgery to remove the aneurysm comes with risks.

“The shape of [the aneurysm] has limited the operation they can do,” he said.

“So, remember, they were going to thread it through a vein and stick a little cannula in there and put this coil in there. Well, mine’s the wrong shape for a coil. So they can’t do that.”

“The only option to get to it is to [open the skull]. That will mean I have this huge scar from the forehead to top of ear and they would have to drill a hole in my skull, go into the brain and clip it off.”

Kyle explained that the doctors have recommended that he wait until the aneurysm gets bigger to do the surgery.

“They have to drill a hole through my skull the size of a drinking glass, pull that bit of skull out and go into the brain and clip it off. So they put a titanium clip on the vein where the problem is, and then they stitch me up with the plastic surgeon.

“He told me to take the weekend to think about it. It’s not going to like it’s unlikely. It’s going to rupture over the weekend. It’s on the smaller side, he said. But he has had he has had patients bleed out with much smaller aneurysms. So it’s not a joke.”

The shock jock added that the doctors found a second aneurysm that could increase his chance of having a heart attack.

“They found another one in my chest and that’s a separate surgery and I have very bad calcium build-up in the heart where I’m likely to have a heart attack,”

Kyle Sandilands explains his original brain aneurysm

When Jackie encouraged Kyle to “think positive” in regard to his recent diagnosis, he responded by saying, “That shit doesn’t work in real life”.

Kyle didn’t reveal exactly when he will be having the surgery but said that he may need up to eight weeks off work.

“It’s not a blockage. It’s like, imagine your blood vessel is the garden hose, and the garden hose is weak and it blisters out like a big bubble, you know, like a puncture in it, like a bike tyre with a big bubble that bubbles the aneurysm, so it’s not blocked,” the Australian Idol judge explained.

“It’s like, it’s expanded, and if it bursts, it’s either a vegetable in the wheelchair or dead.”

Kyle gets emotional about his family

During the segment, Kyle received a video message from his wife, Tegan Kynaston, and his two-year-old son Otto.

The clip showed Otto telling his dad that he loved him and made Kyle tear up live on air.

“Sorry, after seeing that video from my child, it’s really just overwhelmingly sad now,” he said. “I don’t want to leave a wife and a little child. I know my wife has grown up without a father, and I know that that was very difficult for her.”

Jackie reassured Kyle that she believes his surgery would be successful and encouraged any listeners who’ve experienced headaches or similar reoccurring issues to get a brain scan.

Australian Survivor 2025’s Laura Darras: Meet the “good white witch”

Laura Darras is officially Australian Survivor‘s first witch, and she claims her ability to read people’s energies and auras will help her in the game.

Laura is one of 24 contestants competing for the title of Sole Survivor on Brains v Brawn II, and that person will take home the $500,000 cash prize.

Read on to find out more about Australian Survivor 2025 cast mate Laura.

Australian Survivor 2025’s Laura is a witch

Laura, who’s part of the Brains tribe, identifies as a witch and says that she uses spells daily.

“I read people’s energies and see your aura by seeing little colours above people’s heads that tell me what they’re thinking, what they’re feeling and how they are handling any given situation. It’s a skill I’ll be using out here for sure!” She said in her Survivor bio.

Laura owns over 250 crystals and calls herself a “good white witch” who uses her spells in positive ways.

Laura is also an actor

As well as being a witch, Laura is also an actor. She made her stage debut at the age of 15 in Macbeth: The Rock Opera.

Fittingly, she was cast as one of the three Witches and toured England, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy with the performance.

She believes that her acting skills will help her game on Survivor, as she’ll be able to get people to do what she wants.

“My friends say I can convince a fish it has legs. I can convince anyone of anything. I can read how people perceive the world, and I can use what they value against them,” she said.

A witch and and actor? It sounds like Australian Survivor 2025 is shaping up to be a bewitching season.

Australian Survivor 2025: Brain v Brawn II airs from February 17 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Australian Survivor 2025: Meet Candy, the model who has brawn

Australian Survivor is back for its second iteration of Brains v Brawn, and we can’t wait to see who can outwit, outplay, and outlast their competitors.

One of the competitors for the Brains vs Brawn II season is Candy Rule. She hails from country WA where she lived on farms and wineries. While she may look unsuspecting, she packs a punch!

This is everything you need to know about Candy on Australian Survivor 2025.

Australian’s Survivor Candy is a model

WA-born Candy moved to Sydney to pursue her career as a model, where she has worked for many major brands. Some of these brands include Adidas, Universal, Glue Store and Perth-based Poppy Lissiman.

With her model experience, she told 10Play that it would give her a leg up in the competition.

“As a model you must put up with a lot of stuff or else you won’t get hired again. You can be mentally and physically tired, getting accidentally pinned by a tailor or someone burns you with a curling wand, you just get on with it. And that’s what I’ll do on Survivor,” she told the network.

Candy is a Survivor superfan

Not only can Candy outlast a long day on set as a model, but she can outplay every other Survivor-themed birthday party.

According to 10Play, she has been a fan of the series for a long time and had a Survivor-themed eighth birthday party.

The birthday party even included DIY challenges. Fun!

She never gives up

Candy has faced many hardships growing up, she confessed that when she was a young girl she had a learning disability.

“I grew up dyslexic. I wanted to prove to myself that it wouldn’t hold me back, so I got a literature degree. It was a very expensive attempt to prove it to myself haha.”

We think all of these attributes will make her a threat to her competitors on Australian Survivor, Brains v Brawn II.

Good luck Candy!

Australian Survivor 2025, Brains v Brawn II will air on February 17 at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10 Play.

The true story behind Apple Cider Vinegar’s cancer scammer Belle Gibson

The spotlight is on Belle Gibson once again with the release of Netflix’s new series, Apple Cider Vinegar, and it has fans questioning the true story behind the series.

Belle initially became somewhat of a household name after she amassed an Instagram following in the hundreds of thousands back in 2013 when she shared her story of beating cancer through natural means. From there, she launched a best-selling wellness app and a cookbook.

However, it was later revealed that Belle never actually had cancer in the first place.

This is the true story behind Apple Cider Vinegar’s Belle and how she faked cancer to profit financially.

Kaitlyn Dever as Belle in Apple Cider Vinegar. Image: Netflix.

Did Belle Gibson actually have cancer?

No. Belle told her followers that she was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2009 and later, in 2014, added that she’d also been diagnosed with cancer in her “blood, spleen, brain, uterus, and liver”.

Belle launched a wellness app based on the success of her Instagram account. It was an instant hit, receiving a number one rating in the App Store during its debut month and was named Apple’s “best food and drink” app of 2013.

After that, she signed a book deal for The Whole Pantry cookbook with an advance of $132,000.

Belle publicly said that she’d donate “a large part of everything” to charities. However, according to the Sydney Morning Herald at least five charities that she’d named had no record of receiving any money from her.

In 2015, Belle’s friend Chanelle McAuliffe confronted her with doubts over her cancer claims. Belle refused to come forward, so Chantelle reported her to the police, a lawyer and an investigative journalist. It was The Age who first published details about Belle’s cancer scam.

After the article was published, Belle appeared in a culture-shaping interview with Tara Brown on 60 Minutes, where she admitted that she’d never had cancer.

Was Belle Gibson punished for her cancer lies?

Belle didn’t face criminal charges for her cancer scam. However, Consumer Affairs Victoria sued her in Melbourne federal court in 2016 for violating Australian Consumer Law.

She was fined $410,000 for misleading conduct regarding her health and charitable donations. According to the Herald Sun, Belle hasn’t paid anything.

MAFS 2025 Episode 8 Recap: Jake’s photo ranking shocks

Just when we thought we were rid of MAFS 2025’s shit men this season, more rise from Tim and Eliot’s ashes, perhaps to make the knuckleheads that came before them proud. Let’s discuss:

  • Adrian’s ability to terrify us all
  • Jake’s surprise inner-demon
  • Jacqui’s neverending list of “qualities”

Adrian makes me unwell

Adrian touches every triggerable bone in my body during this episode.

First, he essentially calls Awhina a “shit person” for cheating on her partner (like, a decade ago). Let the record show that Awhina told her partner straight away, and they were able to rebuild.

Do I think cheating’s okay? No. Do I think hearing a new potential partner cheated in a past relationship would be off-putting? Yep. Would I have delivered my stance with more tact than Adrian? I bloody hope so.

Adrian finds out Awhina has cheated on a previous partner during a MAFS 2025 episode.
Someone get this man to yoga to work on his flexibility. Image: Nine.

Adrian then tells Awhina that he’s never cheated himself, but then a producer reminds him that’s only half-true. Hearing a man say “we weren’t officially together” has sent me and takes me right back to being a 19-year-old who believed that nonsense from equally nonsense humans.

Adrian then decides not to partake in a confession letter because, as far as I can gather, he couldn’t be arsed to share his feelings or past. The way he smiles with the producer makes me think he does not care about this relationship and is only here for the upcoming Instagram ride. Or that he’s hiding something. Surely it can’t be worse than Jayden’s from last year?

MAFS 2025’s Jacqui can’t be a real person

Oh, help. Jacqui is listing her achievements again, including—but not limited to—her time as a model. Did you know she was a model?

Jacqui Burfoot reads out her letter to Ryan Donelly on MAFS 2025 Episode 8.
I’m a model. Image: Nine.

“You gave me a resume,” Ryan: Warrior Princess tells her. Why is her mini tanty so … performative? I’m convinced she is an actress of some kind because I refuse to believe she is so unaware.

Ryan listens to Jacqui reading her MAFS letter during Confessions Week.
You forgot to mention the acting degree from NIDA. Image: Nine.

WTF Jake?

When I say my mouth was open the entire time Jake did the MAFS 2025 photo ranking task, I am not exaggerating. Here’s what he thinks of his new friends!:

  • Jacqui: “Crazy eyes”
  • Sierah: “Her face screams I could stab you in your sleep.”
  • Awhina: “I’m not racist but I do like caucasian people mainly…”
  • Morena: He’s sure she was hot when she was younger.
  • Rhi: Bit of a lazy eye, apparently.
  • Carina: Gorgeous but “she knows it”.
Jake Luik does the photo ranking challenge on MAFS 2025.
Who the hell did they pair me with? Image: Nine.

He put Ashleigh fourth. Speaking of fourth, that wall was broken when Jake looked at the camera — I haven’t been that uncomfortable since the Sex And The City pilot.

Ashleigh had a few drinks and went to Sierah’s to no doubt cut rank over the whole unexpected plot twist. Sierah told Billy.

Billy’s response to how Jake acted?

“You look like Jeffrey Dahmer, mate.”

MAFS’ Adrian reveals his beef with Eliot that never made it to TV

If there’s one thing we know about Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2025, it’s that the show has a way of picking some, well, controversial grooms. From Dean Wells to Jack Dunkley, the series hasn’t been short of men who have enraged viewers with their remarks over the years.

This season, Eliot Donovan looked like he’d take the stand for MAFS’ most controversial groom for 2025, and then Tim Gromie came along. Adrian Araouzou also threw his hat in the ring after fans were less than impressed with his initial reservations about his new wife, Awhina Rutene, having a child.

Now, Adrian has spilt some tea, telling Chattr that there was more drama at the MAFS bucks party than what was originally shown, saying he clashed with another groom and was surprised the show didn’t air the argument.

MAFS’ Adrian Araouzou on his clash with Eliot Donovan

After Yahoo Lifestyle reported that the MAFS bucks party “wasn’t as tame as what was shown,” we asked Adrian about the drama and the 30-year-old admitted he was part of it.

“I was definitely one of the people involved in the drama. Elliot and I definitely didn’t see eye to eye,” he confessed. “I’m surprised they didn’t play it, but I did say in the voxxie that if they give Eliot a dominant woman, he’ll leave before the dinner party. I think they [producers and editors] didn’t want to put that in the episode as it would’ve spoiled it.”

When asked if he and Eliot resolved their differences, Adrian teased that we’ll have to “wait and see”, alluding to more upcoming screen time between the duo when Eliot makes his return as an intruder.

“We both agreed that we both had our strong opinions, and we both agreed to disagree. So we have to see what happens,” Adrian said.

We’ll watch this space!

MAFS 2025 Episode 7 Recap: Miss NZ seeks revenge

There’s only one Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 couple we need to recap from Episode 7 and that’s Miss New Zealand (Jacqui) and Ryan: Warrior Princess (Ryan).

Things kick off horribly for Jacqui and Ryan, quite literally, when Ryan gets his shoes on the couch, bed and presumably other places Miss NZ believes shoes should not go.

Feet might make people small fortunes, but she’s not wrong: they are upsetting.

Miss NZ thinks he “is a low-effort man” and cries over this. By “this”, I mean the fact there’s a TV in the room, but at this point, it’s hard to know what’s jerked the tears.

Jacqui Burfoot cries to MAFS producers in this MAFS 2025 recap.
I saw his toes. And screentime. Image: Nine.

Ryan and Jacqui’s MAFS photo ranking challenge ruins lives

Ryan: Warrior Princess only makes matters worse when he doesn’t pick Miss NZ first in the godforsaken photo challenge. He doesn’t pick her second, either. Just when she thinks she’s been picked third, he clarifies that it’s actually an equal third with Sierah, following Rhi and Carina.

The brunettes? REALLY? Image: Nine

He just wants to be honest! And she just wants to be validated! She mentions the Miss NZ thing again, just to hammer home that she is, in fact, a hot model, whether Ryan can see that or not.

Jacqui looking upset that Ryan has picked her third in the MAFS photo ranking challenge.
I got a sash and everything. Image: Nine.

Anyway, she cries. I think this brings her MAFS 2025 experiment tear tally up to four. I can’t wait for the Commitment Ceremonies!

Jacqui Burfoot cries on MAFS 2025.
I choose stay!! Image: Nine.

She is very shitty about not being seen for the hot pageant queen she is, so she decides to seek out revenge on her poet warrior. When he asks what her ex was like, she tells Ryan: Warrior Princess that the tall blonde she used to date had a “god-like body”.

She’s not done! She continues to twist the knife by saying she would’ve happily said yes if her god-like blonde proposed to her. Then she smiles sadistically upon receiving her sweet revenge for not being crowned the hottest of MAFS 2025.

Adrian continues to confuse everyone incl. Awhina

In other news, Adrian made Awhina an appreciation jar where they could share the things they appreciated about one another that week. It would’ve been cute if he didn’t fuck it by unleashing his mummy issues yet again.

Adrian creates an Appreciation Jar for Awhina on MAFS.

Tim leaves MAFS 2025 (and Katie)

Tim has completely pissed off, which is good for Katie in the long run. She watches his audition tape where he flat-out lies about his intentions for MAFS 2025.

Here’s my favourite:

“I’m not Brad Pitt so I’m not expecting Miranda Kerr.”

Katie watches Tim's audition tapes for MAFS.
Well that’s good because Miranda Kerr might be brunette but she is almost 6 foot ya donkey

Anyway, I hope this isn’t the end for Katie.

John Aiken needs to make it up to her. Immediately.

MAFS’ Adrian speaks out after ‘cheating scandal’ leaked

We’re only in week two of Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 and already we’ve had a cheating scandal leak between two very unexpected participants, with The Daily Mail breaking earlier today that Adrian Araouzou (who is married to Awhina Rutene) and Sierah Swepstone (who is currently wed to Billy Belcher) develop an unlikely bond.

While Adrian has now explained his version of events to Chattr, teasing that MAFS fans will have to “wait and see” what happens next, The Daily Mail shared that Adrian and Sierah’s friendship saw the two go on private dinner dates which they hid from their partners, with Sierah reportedly opening up to Adrian in a way that she hadn’t been able to with Billy.

What happened between MAFS’ Adrian Araouzou and Sierah Swepstone?

As per The Daily Mail report, the site alleges after a “boozy first weekend” in Sydney, Sierah and Adrian ended up back at her apartment where they stayed up late getting to know each other, with Billy watching football down the hall with a handful of the other MAFS participants.

MAFS' Awhina Adrian and Billy and Sierah
Things initially started well for Adrian and Awhina, and Billy and Sierah. Photo: Nine

Days later, Adrian and Sierah then had dinner, something they hid from both their partners, with whispers starting to circulate amongst the cast which resulted in Billy finding out in front of everyone at a commitment ceremony that Sierah had no issues letting down her walls with Adrian.

“Sierah wouldn’t open up to him [Billy], but she did with Adrian. And he only found out in front of the rest of us. It was so embarrassing. I felt terrible for him,” an unnamed participant revealed.

The two allegedly met up again, with tensions then reaching a breaking point at the next dinner party with Billy and Awhina confronting their respective partners in front of the entire group.

Adrian speaks out on cheating allegations: “I care about everyone”

In an interview with Chattr, Adrian downplayed the rumours while teasing fans would have to “wait and see” what happens next.

“I’m a nice person, I care about everyone. Everyone has feelings, and if I see someone upset, regardless of who it was on the show, whether it be someone on the show or production, you know, I will definitely go out of my way to make sure that they’re okay,” Adrian said. “And, yeah, I mean, with me and Sierah, that’s what I’ve done. And as for any funny business, we have to wait and see.”

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025: Meet this season’s most wholesome bride, Katie Johnson

Now that Married at First Sight 2025 (MAFS) is here, we’re gearing up for one of the most drama-packed yet!

While we all love and crave the theatrics (duh!), one bride is already standing out against the inevitable chaos for all the right reasons: the delightfully wholesome Katie Johnson.

Self-described on her Insta bio as “living the bougie hippie life,” Katie is a mentor, writer, traveller, and nature lover.

Here’s everything we know about Katie so far.

Katie Johnson is a CEO bringing heart and hustle to MAFS 2025

Katie is the founder of EATS HQ, a Queensland-based social enterprise restaurant with a mission to “empower all through support.”

EATS HQ focuses on helping individuals and communities build self-sustainable livelihoods, whether that’s through job opportunities or donations.

“Our mission is to serve up meals that make a difference while providing beautiful spaces for like-minded individuals to come together,” reads the website.

EATS HQ was even a finalist for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards for Social Impact in 2021. What a queen!

Katie Johnson has made her TV debut before MAFS

Katie’s feel-good efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, with a heartwarming TV cameo long before she even dreamed of becoming a reality star on MAFS.

In 2023, she and her EATS HQ team appeared on Sunrise alongside weather presenter Sam Mac at the iconic Eumundi Markets.

And Katie has gone viral before!

Katie’s infectious penchant for positivity first caught attention in 2020 when a post she shared on The Kindness Pandemic Facebook page went semi-viral.

She described witnessing a heartwarming moment at a café in Noosa — a dad clearing his table to let a frail, elderly couple sit — and how it inspired her to pay it forward, setting off a ripple effect of goodwill that left her in happy tears.

“See, one little act of kindness, despite what’s going on in your day, can really make a difference for a lot of people. Be kind even when you’re hurting,” she wrote.

The post racked up tens of thousands of likes and earned Katie an interview with 7News. Now, her next moment in the spotlight has arrived!

Who is Katie paired with?

Katie is matched with Tim Gromie, but their MAFS wedding quickly became one of the most disastrous to date.

Moments after saying “I do,” Tim told to his producer he felt no spark with Katie, claiming his type was “short, petite, and blonde or brunette.”

He didn’t wait long to break the news to his new bride, either, dropping the bombshell on the first night of their honeymoon, which led to them sleeping in separate beds. Not great, Tim.

Will Katie and Tim work things out? Time will tell but sadly for Katie, it’s not looking promising.

Ricki-Lee teases Australian Idol 2025 standouts: “Definitely ones to watch”

Australian Idol 2025 host Ricki-Lee Coulter has dished the details about which of this year’s contestants she thinks will be successful this season.

So far, the season has seen some hauntingly beautiful performers during the first week of auditions, and multiple golden tickets have already been snapped up.

While Ricki-Lee stressed during an interview with Chattr that she tries not to have favourites, she did tell us that the two contestants viewers should keep an eye on have already been sent through to the top 30.

“There’s a girl. She’s 16 years old, and her name is Iilysh [Retallick]. I was talking to her before she went into the audition room, and she was as quiet as a mouse, and I was thinking. “This girl is going to go in there, and they’re going to rip her to shreds. They’re not even going to be able to hear her talking because she’s that quiet,” Ricki-Lee told Chattr.

“And she walks into that audition room and floors everyone. She sung Alanis Morrisette‘s You Oughta Know, and it’s shocking. You just don’t expect it. She’s amazing.”

Ricki-Lee name-dropped another contestant as someone that she thinks will go far on Australian Idol 2025.

“There’s also a guy named Marshall Hamburger, who’s just incredible. I think he’s definitely one to watch.”

Ricki-Lee and Australian Idol co-host Scott Tweedie. Image: Seven.

Does Ricki-Lee have favourite Australian Idol contestants?

Ricki-Lee made it to the top ten of Australian Idol way back in 2004 as a contestant and returned as a host in 2022.

Having been on the other side of the judges when she was younger, Rick-Leei told Chattr that she can easily relate to how contestants feel.

“I know what it’s like to go through the process; everyone is always hyper-aware of everything that’s going on around them, and they read into everything.

“So if you talk more to one person, they think about that. So, I’m always conscious of making sure that everyone gets time. I have personal time with everyone. I have a chat with every single person when we first get to set.

Ricki-Lee on Australian Idol Season 2 as a contestant. Video: YouTube.

“I go and look at everyone in the eyes, and I say, ‘Good luck’. You’re amazing. I say the same thing to everyone. So no one feels like, ‘Oh, my God. She talked to me, I’m going home.'”

However, Ricki-Lee admitted that while she does her best to be neutral, deep down, she has her favourite contestants who she hopes will go far in the competition.

“It’s hard to not have a favourite because I do have favourites,” she laughed. “Everybody connects differently to different people.”

The Australian Idol host explained that it’s the nature of the show that people are drawn to different contestants because of the style of music they like or the type of personality that the viewer is usually drawn to.

“I feel like it’s natural to have favourites.”

It sure sounds like we already know who Ricki-Lee’s favourites are this year!

Australian Idol 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

MAFS 2025 Episode 6 Recap: Tim lights gas at the debut dinner party

We couldn’t even get through our first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 dinner party without an unhealthy dose of gaslighting. A lot of the MAFS 2025 couples seem chummy, whether that’s an act or not, but not everyone’s rainbows and followers. What fun would that be? Let’s focus on the two couples who have gone to shit for this MAFS recap instead.

Eliot has somehow gotten worse

Eliot with one l and one t has made the horrible decision of meeting with the one and only John Aiken. Our master reminds Eliot that even though he’s good-looking, he’s 35 and single for a reason.

Eliot disagrees with literally everything John says, but not before stating that he wanted a young librarian and got an old Kardashian.

John Aiken meets with Eliot Donovan to chat about his MAFS experience.
Young librarians are extinct, no? Image: Nine.

He never showed up to the dinner party, and for that, I am #grateful.

Tim’s not done messing with Katie’s MAFS 2025 experience

Katie rocked up to the dinner party alone, truly looking like she could start crying at any given moment. She relayed what happened between the pair, but politely asked everyone to go easy on Tim if he showed up at the dinner party.

When Tim showed up, he and Katie spoke away from the group, and everything seemed amicable. He told Katie that her saying hello made her “go up” in his “books,” which is gross.

Tim Gromie and Katie Johnson reunite at the MAFS 2025 dinner party following their honeymoon.
o fun I’m being scored. Image: Nine.

This is not about her being good enough for you. Has this man stopped to wonder whether or not she even likes him?

During dinner, Tim starts laughing at Lauren’s misfortune as some kind of messed up benchmark for how he’s not so bad after all.

Katie Johnson reacts to Tim Gromie's comments at the MAFS dinner party in Episode 6.
r u effing kidding me? Image: Nine.

He then accuses Katie of not trying to get to know him. UM. Did we all watch the same episode where Katie had to clutch at boring shit like photography and fishing to get the man to talk?

Even then, he didn’t want to share anything of himself, even though he’s apparently been sharing a lot of himself to other women during this same period.

Because Tim has already done a spectacular job at making Katie feel terrible about herself, she starts to believe that maybe she is the problem (she’s not).

She starts calling herself a “rookie” at relationships, which might be true, but her inexperience is not the issue here. Tim’s ability to take advantage of someone who’s feeling insecure is. It’s horrible.

Luckily, many people at the dinner table can see what a manipulator he’s being and start testing him. Carina asks about his honeymoon, but all Tim wants to talk about is Vanuatu.

Can we talk about France? Image: Nine.

I know they got an overseas holiday and he got a domestic one, but I refuse to believe this bloke cares that much about two people who aren’t blonde, petite and quiet like he so desires.

Tim cracks the shits and leaves because his terrible plan didn’t work. Here’s hoping he never returns and that Katie will receive a wonderful replacement.

Oh no they’re onto me. Image: Nine.

Survivor icon Parvati Shallow casually drops the Australia V The World 2025 air date

Five-time Survivor player Parvati Shallow has gone ahead and give the people what they want by rougely revealing the Survivor: Australia V The World air date.

In late 2024, it was announced that Australian Survivor would have two seasons; Brains v Brawn II and Australia V The World. Network 10 announced that the former would premiere in February 2025, but haven’t yet dropped an air date for the international mash-up.

However, thanks to a recent interview with Parvati, we can now pencil the season into our calendars.

When is Survivor: Australia v The World 2025 airing?

Parvati, who’s also competed on The Traitors US and Deal or No Deal Island Season 2, sat down for an interview with It Girl podcast.

While answering a question about whether she’d ever go on Survivor again, the former winner casually announced that Survivor: Australia V The World will air in mid-2025.

“I’m going to say no. After I just played Australian Survivor v the World, which will air in July, I’m done,” she replied.

“Five seasons of Survivor is so much Survivor, and it just changes your brain. I’m good, I’m done, that’s it for me.

What other Survivor: Australia V The World spoilers did Parvati drop?

Parvati competed on Deal or No Deal Island Season 2, which is currently airing on 10Play, alongside Australian Survivor alum David Genat.

Both reality stars are also competing on Survivor: Australian v The World 2025 later this year, and Parvati revealed which show she agreed to do first.

“I wasn’t going to do [Deal or No Deal Island] when I was first approached, because I had already signed on to do Australian Survivor just like a month after Deal was filmed. But, [producers] convinced me and I’m so glad I did because it was truly a blast, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had playing a game,” she said.

David and Parvati on Deal or no Deal island

Parvati— who carries the nickname of the Black Widow on Survivor thanks to her past of aligning with women— also alluded to a potential Australia v The World alliance with Survivor New Zealand‘s Lisa Stanger.

“I just played Australian Survivor, and I played with this girl Lisa from Survivor New Zealand. We were on the same tribe, and she was like, ‘I think people have it wrong about you; they think that you’re a mean girl and selfish and that you only do things just for you, but I think you’re really nice and really cool and people want to work with you in these games because you’re cool and fun to hang out with.'” She laughed.

How long was Survivor: Australian v The World 2025 filmed for?

In a separate interview promoting the upcoming season, Parvati revealed that Survivor: Australian v The World is shorter than a regular season.

In America, the castaways were traditionally sent away for 39 days, but that was permanently shortened to 26 days in 2021. Meanwhile, in Australia, the winner will have spent up to 55 days in the wilderness.

However, the Survivor: Australian v The World cast is set for a short trip away from their families and loved ones.

“It’s an international season of Survivor, it’s like the Olympics of Survivor, Australia versus The World. It’s a compressed game, it’s shorter, and it’s goign to be more intense,” she explained during an interview for the Chicks In The Office podcast.

Keep on dropping the bombshells, Parvati!

Survivor: Australia v The World will air on Channel 10 and 10Play.
