“Stress diet”: Lara Bird reveals the MASSIVE amount of weight she lost filming Dream Home

It’s no secret that taking part in a home-renovation reality show is stressful, and Dream Home 2024’s Lara Bird has revealed exactly how much weight she lost as a result.

The Dream Home 2024 cast began filming the strenuous series in October 2023 and wrapped in mid-March 2024. During a Q&A session on Instagram, Lara revealed that since the finale aired, she’s received “a lot of questions around the weight loss situation”.

“You can probably tell that there is a big difference in the way that I look from the first episode to the last episode. Through COVID and babies and whatever, I stacked on a whole bunch of weight,” she explained.

Lara’s Q&A. Source: Instagram.

Lara said that once she got accepted onto the show it was motivation for her to begin her weight loss journey.

“Before filming started, I had lost about 15 kilos. I hate to tell you, but it was just exercise and eating small amounts, and then filming started and then it was the stress diet.”

The Dream Home runner-up explained that she put her weight loss down to a combination of stress, smaller portions of food, and water loss.

“I was stressed most days, well, every day. But I think that just helped with it dropping off quite quickly,” she said.

“We still ate quite well, not a lot. Probably because I didn’t have the appetite to and then we went to Queensland and then sweat was just dripping off us all day every day. It was so hot.

“So that obviously helped as well. But yeah, just mix it all together. And that’s sort of what happened.”

How much weight did Dream Home’s Lara lose?

Lara explained that the combination of factors led her to weigh in almost 50kgs lighter than she was prior to the show.

“For me, it was like Dream Home/ Biggest Loser situation, which I wasn’t angry about. From the start of it to where I am now it’s a 43-kilo loss. So pretty big,” she said.

“Do not wish to continue a friendship”: MAFS’ Melinda opens up on her beef with Tahnee Cook

MAFS’ 2023 may be well and truly a thing of the past, but the drama between the season’s alum Tahnee Cook and Melinda Richelle certainly is not.

Tahnee and Melinda were the only two MAFS 2023 contestants to come out of the show in a relationship. They dated their respective partners, Ollie Skelton and Layton Mills after the show wrapped.

However, as many Married At First Sight relationships go, both couples have since broken up, and it appears the friendship between the girls is over too.

Tahnee and Melinda were one of the strongest friendships to come out of the season. The girls regularly attended media events together, and Melinda appeared on Tahnee’s podcast Chuffed earlier this year.

Tahnee and Melinda’s Instagram posts

Both Tahnee and Melinda took to Instagram to shade one another after followers noticed that Melinda had unfollowed her former pal.

When a fan asked the eyelash technician why she’d made the bold move, Melinda posted a cryptic quote in response, reading: “Remember, you don’t need a certain number of friends, just a number of friends you can be certain of.”

Melinda’s Instagram Story. Image: Instagram.

Tahnee Cook then snapped back on her own Instagram stories, starting with the trademark MAFS alum quote: “I wasn’t planning to speak on this but…”

Of course, the PR professional then went into detail, claiming that she was “super confused”, and wasn’t sure why Melinda had unfollowed her.

Tahnee’s Instagram Story. Image: Instagram.

Melinda made it clear that her friendship with Tahnee was over

In an even more confusing development, Melinda has since done an interview where she revealed some more cryptic details, insinuating that Tahnee knows why their friendship is donezo.

“In my eyes, the quote I shared in response to someone’s question that [Tahnee] is referring to was not cryptic and instead was a quote for my followers about boundaries and how it’s important to have good friends in your life and to be a good friend in return,” she told Pedestrian.TV.

“Sadly, it’s a little too late for her to now start ‘valuing’ our ‘friendship’ but I appreciate her showing care in articles. I don’t hold any hate or animosity towards Tahnee, I just simply do not wish to continue a friendship with her.”

So, the reason behind the Melinda vs Tahnee feud is about as clear as mud.

RIP to their friendship. Image: Instagram.

“Simply disgraceful”: Jules Robinson slams trolls who criticised her nude pregnancy photoshoot

MAFS’ alum Jules Robinson has called out internet trolls who criticised her nude pregnancy photoshoot on Instagram.

Jules, who is pregnant with her second child, took to the platform to share photos of a gorgeous maternity shoot that showcased her bump.

“It hits different in your 40’s. Embracing this time, the change, my body and celebrating all the hard work I have done and did to get to this point…. And reunited with @dimages_photographer to capture it..” Jules wrote in the caption.

Unfortunately, some people took to the comments section to question her decision to share the pregnancy pics, while others even accused MAFS’ Jules of airbrushing them.

“The photo has been edited so it’s not real, which makes women feel like crap 💩 Just don’t, it’s not ok,” one person commented.

Another added, “Totally unnecessary. In fact, inappropriate and just ridiculous”

Jules hits back at trolls

Jules was clearly unimpressed by the negative comments prompting a joint Instagram post with the photographer to express their feelings.

“It’s disheartening to see that pregnant women would be trolled and bullied for capturing their beautiful journey and wanting to share that so others build the confidence to do the same,” the caption began.

“Being unsupportive and cruel doesn’t just hurt them; it reveals a lot about you. If belittling others makes you feel better, it’s time to reflect and seek help.”

The post also clarified that Jules’s photos didn’t use airbrushing.

“Just for the record, Jules’s skin is NOT photoshopped in this image. Yes, I do use Photoshop but she specifically asked me not to do any skin retouching, so what you see is creative lighting, camera exposure and saturation and colour balance and temperature and aperture at play.

“I won’t accept her being bullied for this image, it’s simply disgraceful. This image is ART and if you don’t like it, keep your opinions to yourself. ✌🏼Let’s uplift and support each other instead. 💛,” the post concluded.

Here’s what we know so far about The Devil Wears Prada sequel

The Devil Wears Prada sequel may have moved at a glacial pace but at least now it looks like it’s finally coming.

A whopping 17 years after Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) originally stepped into the Runway magazine office, reports of a sequel has hit the headlines.

Will the iconic OG characters return? Will they all still be working at Runway magazine? These are just some of the questions we need answers to, stat.

Here’s everything we know about The Devil Wears Prada sequel so far.

Miranda in The Devil Wears Prada
Miranda Priestly is an icon. Image: The Devil Wears Prada.

What will The Devil Wears Prada sequel be about?

According to The Guardian the “storyline reportedly follows Miranda Priestly (the withering fashion mag editor played by Meryl Streep), as she navigates the decline of traditional print publication in the digital space.

The fresh new spin will likely see the return of Miranda’s assistant Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt in the original) in a leadership position.

“Her [Miranda’s] new key adversary is sometime assistant Emily Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury consortium, and who makes the decisions over where to place lucrative advertising contracts,” the publication reported.

The Devil Wears Prada sequel release date

At the time of writing, there’s no release date for The Devil Wears Prada sequel. Given it’s just reports right now, we’re probably going to have to wait a hot minute!

The Devil Wars Prada sequel cast

The Devil Wears Prada sequel cast hasn’t been announced yet. We have our fingers and toes crossed that we’ll have Meryl as Miranda, Emily as, erm, Emily and Hathaway as Andy once again. We could also see the return of Stanley Tucci as Nigel (here’s hoping).

The good news is that Entertainment Weekly has reported that all of the above stars are in talks to reprise their roles for the sequel.

We’re sure whoever’s in the cast, it’ll be groundbreaking. Image: The Devil Wears Prada.

Is there a The Devil Wears Prada sequel trailer?

Not yet! We’re sure it’ll be filled with more iconic one-liners that we can add to the rotation.

What was the original The Devil Wears Prada about?

The original The Devil Wears Prada movie was released in 2006 and follows the journey of Andy Sachs, an aspiring journalist who lands a job as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.

Despite Andy’s initial reluctance, she quickly learned that to survive under Miranda’s relentless demands, she had to adapt to the high-paced, often superficial realm of fashion.

Along the way, she faced personal and professional challenges which ultimately led her to reconsider what mattered in her career and personal life.

One social media post has caused uproar between the MAFS cast

The Married At First Sight 2024 drama is still in full force with Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn calling out MAFS groom Tim Calwell for his latest Instagram Reel.

But now the rest of the MAFS cast have gotten involved, as they do, and the word ‘drama’ just doesn’t cut it.

Keep reading to catch up on everything from start to finish.

What did Tim post on Instagram?

Tim shared a video to his 111,000 Instagram followers which featured Tim doing activities with his new girlfriend, Barbara Griebeler, attending a few appointments and showing a car with a sign reading, “WARNING! 100% BITCH”.

“This car reminds me of someone,” Tim’s voiceover said.

Sara, who was fake-married to Tim during the experiment, took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration.

What Sara said about Tim’s reel

“If my partner put a video of us doing cute things together on the internet for the world to see and then subliminally took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, I would be livid. Livid,” Sara said in her Instagram Stories.

“I hope that she’s still okay that you mentioned me in there, regardless of whether it’s calling me ‘100% Bitch’. Don’t you think that it’s time to move on and give her that respect as well?” Sara asked.

Sara also suggested that there was a side of Tim not shown on MAFS Season 11.

“That reel that you made including me is giving insecure and that is the man that you showed to me the whole time on the show. And I really wish that people could have seen that side.”

What Lauren had to say about Tim’s reel

Sara’s MAFS bestie, Lauren, also entered the chat in her own Q&A on Instagram Stories.

Lauren entered the chat to call Tim out for using the word “Bitch”. Source: @lauren_funn_

“Do these men not get it? We just don’t call women bitches in 2024,” Lauren said.

“The men in our season, they just weren’t it. They just don’t understand society and what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable,” she continued.

“Just a lack of intelligence and I can’t argue with stupid people.”

Lauren also noted that she was sent the video because she doesn’t follow Tim.

What Tim had to say about his reel

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle!, Tim said that he didn’t mention anyone specifically.

“I didn’t actually mention anyone at all! It seems like everyone is projecting their own thoughts onto my reel,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle!

“I like talking about my life experiences, regardless of if that chapter in my life is closed. MAFS is certainly a unique experience and I’ll likely keep sharing mine.”

What the MAFS cast are saying about the post

When the account @sodramaticpodcast_ posted Sara’s Instagram Story on their own page, fellow MAFS 2024 cast member Eden Harper entered the chat.

tim calwell instagram reel mafs

“So Sara can call Cass [Allen] a c****, Lauren call Jono [McCullough] a snake, dog, c*** (to name a few),” Eden wrote in the comments section.

“But that’s funny and lighthearted… It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable.”

MAFS intruder Michael Felix added, “Louder for the people in the back” and Jono wrote, “Double standard queens.”

When asked by Chattr what her thoughts are about Sara and Lauren calling out Tim’s behaviour, she made it clear that what Tim said was “inappropriate”.

“I don’t think there was any malicious intent from Tim, but it’s definitely important for him to understand that using that kind of language is inappropriate and can be really damaging,” Eden told Chattr.

“However, I also believe that Lauren and Sara need to take some accountability for the name calling, insults, and bullying behaviour that they constantly demonstrate themselves.”

What do Lauren and Sara think about their cast’s comments?

In response to the “double standards” claims of her cast mates, Sara argued that “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

“Just because I did wrong doesn’t mean that Tim gets a hall pass for alluding to calling me a bitch,” Sara told Chattr.

“I apologised to Cassandra,” Sara added, in response to calling her the C word.

“That is the only time I use vulgar language to someone. And I would never do that publicly on the internet for the world to see.”

Lauren responded to the comments from her MAFS cast mates in a follow-up video on Instagram.

“I was the queen of the insult. I understand that. The purpose of what we’re talking about is men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women.”

MAFS continue to deliver lessons in what’s acceptable even without them all on our screens, no John Aiken required.

Will Ferrell was “so embarrassed” by his real name growing up

As with many celebrities you see and hear about, Will Ferrell is not actually the Stepbrothers actor’s real name.

In fact, Ferrell rarely gets addressed by his real name and would get “so embarrassed” if it was ever brought up.

In celebration of Anchorman‘s 20th anniversary, Ferrel joined his costar Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Big Sky) on their MeSsy podcast, where he discussed his legal name.

will ferrell real name
“It wasn’t my choice,” Will said on his legal name. Image: FOX Searchlight

What is Will Ferrell’s real name?

Ferrell’s legal name is John William Ferrell.

Discussing his youth with Applegate, Ferrell mentioned that he was able to make friends easily thanks to “being funny”.

However, he mentioned that the start of every school year could be quite embarrassing for him thanks to his real name rearing its head.

“This is a minor thing in terms of — it’s not really even trauma — but I remember feeling so embarrassed because my real name is John, John William Ferrell, so first day of school, I’d be John,” Ferrel recalled on the podcast.

“The teacher would be like ‘John Ferrell?’ and it was so embarrassing to me to have to say ‘Here, but I go by Will, I don’t go by John.’ “

Does Ferrell ever use his real first name?

Ferrell noted it took a while for his teachers to remember that he actually went by Will and not John, which was “excruciating”.

He also explained that kids at school would ask about his name after hearing him correct the teachers.

“I don’t know why that was so embarrassing to me to have to explain ‘I’m actually Will’,” he said.

“My parents named [me] John but they called me Will. I grew up as Will, but on a rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”

Ferrell told Applegate that he doesn’t like his legal name because it wasn’t his “choice”.

To be fair, I know a few people who’ve gone by their middle name their whole lives.

If you’re keen to love some lamp after reading this, you can watch Anchorman on Stan.

“Play to your strengths”: Harry explains why the MasterChef contestants stick to what they know

Harry Butterfield made a name for himself on MasterChef Australia 2024 as the “fish guy,” and in an ironic twist of fate, he was eliminated during a Pressure Test involving fish.

From Crayfish Choo Chee to Cantonese Flower Crab, Harry proved his knowledge and prowess in whipping up all sorts of seafood dishes throughout the season.

It’s not only Harry who focused on his speciality. Sav predominantly cooks Sri Lankan-inspired dishes, Pezza often opts for prime cuts of meat, and Nat regularly whips up Asian dishes.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Harry explained that when it comes to choosing the challenge dish, it’s a good idea to go with something you know you’re skilled at.

“I think it’d be silly to go into something like that, where you have the opportunity to play to your strengths in a particular challenge, and not take that,” he said.

“At the end of the day, we’re all obviously there to create awesome dishes because we love cooking, but it’s also a competition, and each one of us wanted to win,” he added.

Harry stressed the importance of versatility on MasterChef

Although Harry used his skills with seafood to help propel him through the competition, he recognised how important it is for MasterChef contestants to show that they’re not just a one-trick pony.

“I think I’ve shown some pretty good versatility across the show, whether it be different cuisines and flavours, tackling different proteins, and obviously, some sweets and stuff as well,” he said.

“I think it is important to show versatility, and I hope people can see that I tried.

“I was trying to be creative every time I stepped into the kitchen and came up with new flavours and ideas. But it’s also about taking the opportunity to do well,” he added.

What’s next for Harry?

While it might be the last viewers see of Harry competing on MasterChef, it’s unlikely it will be the last they’ll see of him online.

The seafood guru reflected fondly on his time on the show and wants to use his new platform to educate home cooks on how to cook seafood well through his YouTube channel, Fins ‘n Tins.

“I’m going to be doing a lot of ocean-to-plate tutorials and recipes, where I go out and catch the seafood, bring it back, and teach people how to cook it, prepare it, store it, fillet it.”

On top of that, he’s hoping to open a restaurant in the near future.

“I’ve had heaps of messages saying, ‘Open the restaurant, we want to make a booking,'” he laughed.

“I think the long-term goal is to open a restaurant, but we’re actually travelling to Europe for a few months. I really want to use that as inspiration and try to get some unique ideas that people aren’t doing here and combine that with my love of seafood.

“Then probably look to open a restaurant next year or even the year after,” he said.

FWAW reportedly “scrapped” plans for a gay or lesbian farmer next season

Reports have surfaced that Farmer Wants A Wife was keen to add some LGBTQIA+ representation to the next season with a gay or lesbian farmer but it didn’t go as planned.

Seven recently unveiled a new lineup of eight farmers looking for love next season and they’re all straight white men.

Where wasn’t a gay farmer cast?

According to Yahoo! Lifestyle, producers were open to more inclusive casting for Farmer Wants A Wife 2025 but struggled to find enough interested participants.

“Plans for a gay or lesbian farmer have been scrapped due to a lack of interest from the queer community during the application process,” the insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

Apparently, this wasn’t an intentional move by the producers or casting team. They just couldn’t track down the right LGBTQIA+ candidates, both farmers and their potential matches.

The source mentioned that there were plenty of discussions about having a “diversity angle” but they couldn’t find many “suitable applicants”.

Seven reportedly wanted to avoid “stunt casting” to tick a diversity box.

“We know that there are strong [LGBTQIA+] communities in regional areas, and we would love to have them take part in the long-running show. It is not for lack of trying,” the insider told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“The audition process is quite extensive, and while there were a handful of options, in the end, the farmers picked were more suitable based on their personalities this time around.”

The show’s past response to casting a gay farmer

Last year host Samantha Armytage admitted to TV Tonight that getting asked about having a gay farmer on the show is a frequent question she gets asked.

“I get asked every year, ‘Why isn’t there a gay farmer on there?’ Good question,” she told TV Tonight.

“If you know any, and they want to be on TV, let us know, we would love that!”

She went on to say that it can be difficult to find a gay farmer who would be keen on going on television.

“I think the producers would love to have more diversity on the show. But the trick is getting them to agree to appear on television.

“It’s not just about finding a farmer, it’s finding a farmer who’s willing to go on television, which is a big thing to do.”

“Found out with the rest of Australia”: How Rhys and Liam celebrated their Dream Home 2024 win

Rhys and Liam have officially been crowned the Dream Home 2024 winners but they only found out about their victory as the rest of Australia watched the finale.

During a post-win interview with Chattr, the brothers explained that they had no clue about whether it was going to be them, Taeler and Elle or Peter and Lara who would take out the win.

“We found out with the rest of Australia last night,” Liam told Chattr.

“We definitely thought we’d done enough to win it, but we had no idea. We were just like everyone else. We just had to wait to see what the judges had to say and make sure we’d done enough,” he added.

To avoid having the winner of the series leaked (like many other reality TV shows) Channel 7 filmed alternate endings with different winners, and only aired who actually finished on top of the Dream Home leaderboard.

It was pretty clear that Liam and Rhys were the front runners throughout the final episode. However, the boys said they didn’t want to celebrate before their win was actually confirmed.

“Honestly, we were getting excited,” Rhys said.

“But there’s still that shadow of doubt, we just needed them to say it.”

How Rhys and Liam celebrated their Dream Home win

After judge Simon Cohen revealed he was scoring the boys’ backyard 9.5 out of 10, securing their win, Rhys and Liam said they were overcome with excitement.

“We both jumped up and screamed and then we jumped in the pool — the freezing, freezing pool,” Rhys laughed.

“We had a big crew behind us, watching with us,” Liam explained.

“And, when they said we won, we went ballistic!”

Rhys’ plans for the money

Unlike many of the other Dream Home 2024 teams who were married couples, Rhys joined the show to help his brother.

He left his partner Cass and his one-week-old newborn Bowie to join the competition, and, alongside Liam, he spent five months fixing up his cast-mate’s houses so that Liam could walk away with a fully renovated house.

The brothers decided that the $100,000 prize money would go solely to Rhys. And, in true Dream Home style, he’s planning to use the money on renovations!

“We’re basically going to finish the renovations on our house,” he explained.

“We are actually selling on the 31st of August and then we want to buy a house and do a full renovation and continue on with that passion.”

Rhys and Liam are the winners of Dream Home Australia 2024

Australia’s feel-good series Dream Home Australia has come to a close for 2024, and Rhys and Liam were crowned the winners during the finale.

It wasn’t just the usual suspects, Lana TaylorSimon Cohen and Rosie Morley who scored the contestants. The three couples who didn’t make the finals, Hannah and Jonny, Brad and Mel and Jacinta and Jordan were additional judges.

And, between the judges’ and contestants’ scores, it was decided that Rhys and Liam’s backyard was the best of the bunch.

The brothers spent five months renovating their castmate’s houses, and walked away with not only a fully renovated house themselves but a $100,000 cash prize, too.

Rhys left his partner and his one-week-old newborn to join the show and help his brother Liam achieve his goal of having his dream home.

“For me, it’s been a massive sacrifice to be here, I left Bowie at seven days old. It was pretty hard. I watched him grow over the phone. Winning $100,000 would honestly change my life,” he said in the lead-up to the finale.

“Walking away without winning this week would be heartbreaking,” he added.

Luckily for him, it wasn’t for nothing!

“I felt like I’d stepped into a complete oasis,” Lana told the brothers of their backyard. “You absolutely created a tropical dream out there, perfect for the Queensland setting.”

Scores:

  • The contestants: 9.5
  • Lana: 9
  • Rosie: 9.5
  • Simon: 9.5

Lara and Peter

Lara and Peter on Dream Home

Lana said that when she first walked into the back yard she “was blown away” and Simon added that he was “punched in the face”… in a good way.

But all three judges agreed that they couldn’t overlook the pool pump that was on display, as well as the lack of grass, and wasted areas.

Scores:

  • The contestants: 9.5
  • Lana: 9.5
  • Rosie: 9
  • Simon: 9

Taeler and Elle

There are only two teams among the bunch that aren’t couples; the sisters and Rhys and Liam.

Because of the time and effort Taeler dedicated to helping Elle, they’d been striving to win Dream Home so that Taeler could take home the $100,00 prize money.

“I’ve been saving for my dream home my whole life. It [would] make me one step closer to having my own dream home and it would be the biggest goal of my life to be able to build that,” Taeler told host Dr Chris Brown ahead of the judge’s feedback.

But, it wasn’t to be. Rosie said that their backyard had the “wow” factor but she wasn’t a fan of their creek water feature.

Meanwhile, Lana said she “loved their depths” but she wasn’t a fan of the dark fence surrounding the jacuzzi.

Simon added that “the creek was by far the biggest mistake” the sisters could have made.

Scores:

  • The contestants: 8
  • Lana: 8
  • Rosie: 7.5
  • Simon: 7.5

Let’s meet our new Farmer Wants A Wife farmers.

Farmer Jack

farmer wants a wife farmer jack

Farmer Jack is a 26-year-old living on a cattle farm in Oberon, NSW. He’s 6ft (because apparently that matters) and a family man whose dream is “to keep what we have in the family and to continue the line”.

His farming heritage that dates back to the 1800s.

“Some people call me a bit of a larrikin, and a cheeky sort of bloke,” Farmer Jack says of his easygoing attitude to life.

Farmer Jack L

Indeed, another Farmer Jack. He’s also 26 but lives in Tasmania on a dairy farm.

“I am very reliable, hardworking, honest and straightforward,” Farmer Jack L‘s Farmer Wants A Wife profile reads.

“My friends would say I’m always there for them, I don’t say no if I’m needed that’s for sure.”

Sounds like a stellar dude if you ask me!

Farmer Jarrad

farmer 2024 fwaw

Farmer Jarrad is just 21-years-old and describes himself as a “goofy creative”. He lives on a sheep farm outside of Stanthorpe, Queensland.

“I’ll also send you crazy from singing too much,” he says. (I’ve watched his intro reel and can confirm he has a fantastic voice, so don’t worry about that!)

Farmer Thomas

farmer thomas fwaw 2025

Farmer Thomas is 35-year-old “hardworking and driver farmer” living on a wheat, lentil and barley farm in Kimba, South Australia. He is the oldest of the Farmer Wants A Wife farmers in our 2025 crop.

He’s a whopping 6’4 in height and is looking for someone who is “kind, caring and honest” with their own passions.

Farmer Reidy

farmer reidy farmer wants a wife

Farmer Reidy is looking for love and with a banana and avocado farm, I think he might have a few contenders. Unrelated, but he’s 6’5 in height.

Farmer Reidy describes himself as “outgoing, energetic, happy, and hard working individual”. He’s well travelled but calls Mareeba in Queensland home. He’s 29.

Farmer Corey

farmer corey 2025

Farmer Corey is a 24-year-old working on a beans, hay and cotton farm in Biloela, Queensland. What’s he looking for?

“I’d like to have a partner who is kind and giving and able to enjoy the simple life, the farm and the way we live. I want a team player and a best mate to take on life with.”

Farmer Tom

farmer tom farmer 2025

Farmer Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales. He’s keen to find a wife to share his life on the farm with!

Farmer Tom loves Taylor Swift (music) because he’s only human. He’d love to find “someone who looks for positives instead of negatives”.

Farmer Chooka

farmer chooka fwaw 2025

Farmer Chooka is 25 years old and working on a cattle, sheep and crop farm in Goornong, Victoria. He’s a community bloke who describes himself as “a funny, mischievous larrikin”.

What’s he looking for when it comes to love?

“The most important thing is that the relationship is healthy. This would involve good communication, love and honesty. “

Friendly reminder: Farmer Wants A Wife Australia has created 10 marriages and 26 kids (!!!) since it started airing. It’s a much better success rate than Married At First Sight and The Bachelor (RIP), right?

Dream Home 2024: Have a peek inside Taeler and Elle’s completed house

Dream Home 2024‘s Taeler and Elle have been busy renovating their cast mates’ houses so that Elle could receive a refreshed version of her dated 1960s Melbourne home in return. And the completed house is nothing to sneeze at!

There are only two teams among the bunch that aren’t couples; the sisters and Rhys and Liam.

Because of the time and effort Taeler dedicated to helping Elle, they’ve been striving to win Dream Home so that Taeler can take home the $100,00 prize money.

“We’re in a completely different circumstance from everyone else,” Elle told Chattr.

“Everyone else was husband and wife and either way, they’re walking away with their house done and potentially a life-changing prize. So they’ve got a different dynamic.

“I think because of that Tae and I had to approach things differently, and I think that that will play out how it plays out.

“But, Tae is walking away with giving me something but having nothing in return. That meant that we did have to treat it a bit differently.”

Regardless of whether the sisters win the competition or not, Elle’s scored herself a stunning-looking property. Check out her completed Dream Home house.

This podcast host reckons Eric Stonestreet is the worst guest she’s ever had

If you think that Cam from Modern FamilyEric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.

During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.

Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family

“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.

Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.

“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.

“Could he be anything but… nasty!”

Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.

For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.

“I didn’t know!” Strecker explained.

Why was Eric Stonestreet her “worst” guest?

“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”

Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”

That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.

“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.

As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.

“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”

You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.

It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.

I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.

Dream Home 2024: Step inside Lara and Peter’s completed house

Dream Home 2024’s Lara and Peter turned over the keys to their 1960s red-brick home in the hopes of it returning as a coastal Mediterranean-inspired oasis.

The NSW couple got exactly what they wished for thanks to the hard work of Jordan and Jacinta, Brad and Mel, and Rhys and Liam.

While there’s no doubt that Lara and Peter’s home looks stunning, it’s also jumped considerably in value. Before the Dream Home 2024 renovations, their home was worth $2.25 million. Now, it’s jumped $700,000 and is valued at  $2.95 million, according to View.

Chelsea Handler roasts Sam Taunton over Margot Robbie pregnancy joke

Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.

Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.

As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.

What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?

“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”

The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.

“About her in the Barbie movie?” he continued.

“What do you mean?” cohost Georgie Tunny asked.

“She doesn’t have a… [vagina],” Taunton finished.

What did Chelsea Handler say to Sam Taunton?

Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.

“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.

“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.

“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”

Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.

“I had to,” Handler replied.

Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?

While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!

Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.

Um, Home Cook Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry had recipes published before going on MasterChef Australia

MasterChef Australia 2024′s Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry loves a good cut of meat, and, being a butcher, he certainly knows what to do with it!

The home cook’s meat knowledge is second to none, and he even runs his own small butcher shop in Tasmania.

Here’s everything we know about MasterChef Australia‘s Josh.

Josh has had his recipes published

Although he’s considered a home cook, Josh has actually had some of his cooking work published prior to going on MasterChef Australia 2024.

In 2021, he shared a post on Instagram announcing that he’d been published in The Butcher’s Cook Book.

“Pretty happy with the Butcher’s Cookbook that I got a couple of my own recipes in along with 50 other butchers around Australia,” he wrote.

Josh owns a butcher shop

Josh owns a butcher in Tassie called Perry’s Quality Meats, which is dubbed the state’s “best paddock-to-plate butcher”.

And, he’s definitely well-versed in local meats. Josh is a former livestock agent who feeds his own cattle to sell.

The butcher shop is a family affair, and Josh works alongside his wife of 20 years and best friend Jen. His two sons have also worked at Perry’s Quality Meats in the past.

Josh at his butcher shop

Josh’s personal life

When Josh isn’t busy at the butcher, he’s using his own meat to make some mouthwatering meals for his family. Every Sunday he cooks for his wife, four kids and his three young grandkids. Of course, his cooking method of choice is the BBQ.

Josh’s passion for food was ingrained from a young age, and he learnt to cook by his Mum, Nan and Aunt.

His ultimate dream is to open a small paddock-to-plate-style restaurant in Tasmania.

Taeler and Elle on Dream Home. Seven.

Is Dream Home on this Sunday?

When is the finale of Dream Home Australia?

The season finale will drop on Tuesday, July 9 at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who’s in the final episodes of Dream Home Australia?

Monday’s episode will see all six teams be judged by Rosie, Lana and Simon on their final renovation.

From there, only the top three teams will go through to the finale, and three will be setting packing.

At the time of writing, Rhys and Liam are in first place with 128 points, Lara and Peter are in second place with 127.5 and Taeler and Elle are sitting in third at 125.5.
