The FBoy Island Season 2 cast includes some familiar reality TV faces

One of the FBoy Island Australia Season 2 leading ladies has previously been on The Bachelor, so it makes sense that some of the men from the FBoy Island cast have a reality TV background too.

Both Jake O’Brien and Paddy Colliar – who could be nice guys or F Boys – have previously been on Australian reality shows, and Jake even made it to an international iteration!

Jake competed on The Amazing Race Australia in 2016 alongside his (now ex?) girlfriend Holly MacAlpine.

More recently, the couple were on MTV’s Ex on the Beach: Couples. During the season Jake’s ex, Pala, tried to get him back, but he ended up leaving with Holly.

Paddy was one of Ali Oetjen’s suitors on The Bachelorette back in 2010. Although he was eliminated early, he was bought back for Bachelor In Paradise.

Shortly after coming off The Bachelorette, he admitted that he ran a brothel.

“I had to stop stripping, the brothel that I run had to stop. I had so much to give up,” he told NW Magazine at the time.

“That’s what I said to Ali – I gave up the brothel [for this].”

While Paddy may have repented from his mid-noughties ways, if some of his post-Bachelorette quotes are to go by, all signs are pointing to him being an FBoy.

Dexter: Original Sin just dropped a teaser and it’s giving flashbacks

Dexter Morgan is back, though years younger with a penchant for murder in the hit series’ upcoming prequel, Dexter: Original Sin. Michael C Hall has been announced to return and we’ve also got a teaser video that’s kicking us in the nostalgic feels.

Over 12 years since the OG crime drama concluded and two years since its short-lived spin-off Dexter: New Blood, fans are set to be transported back to 1991 where a young Dexter shifts from everyday man to, well, a murderer.

Showtime and Paramount+ announced their plans for a prequel in February 2023.

If you’re as keen for Dexter: Original Sin as we are, keep reading for everything you need to know about the prequel.

dexter michael c. hall
Dexter. Showtime.

So, what do we know so far about Dexter: Original Sin?

Is there a Dexter: Original Sin teaser or trailer?

There’s a Dexter: Original Sin teaser and believe me when I tell you, it’s everything an OG fan could dream of and more.

Watch it below to see what I mean. We love a nod to an original!

Will Michael C Hall return for Dexter: Original Sin?

Good news! Michael — the original Dexter — will return for the prequel as young Dexter’s inner-voice and as the show’s narrator.

Again, what an amazing way to bring about a new energy but still honour the very specific vibe of the original.

Michael’s voice is so iconic and unparalleled that it’s sending fans wild.

“I’m literally just excited for Michael C. Hall’s voice,” a commenter wrote on Rotten Tomatoes‘ post of the intro.

“Very hyped!! Michael C Hall is his inner voice!! Plus Christian Slater as young Harry!” wrote another.

Dexter: Original Sin
Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan. Image: Showtime.

This is great news for fans who initially thought Michael wouldn’t be involved due to comments he made last year.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to play a young Dexter at this point,” he admitted during a Q&A at Steel City Con in 2023.

“I think that ship sailed even before we started shooting the [original] series, but I’m open to the possibility.”

What will Dexter: Original Sin be about?

As viewers of the OG Dexter will know, Dexter kills those who take the lives on others in one of the biggest moral mind-fucks ever seen on television.

Dexter: Original Sin starts in 1991 which is a whole 15 years before we first met Dexter in the original series.

It will follow a young Dexter beginning his forensics internship at Miami Metro Police Department as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer.

In the prequel, Dexter’s father, Harry Morgan, helps his son manage his urges and goes back to the time period in which he made his first human kill at 20 years old.

When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness.

With the guidance of his father, Harry, he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcements’ radar.

The Dexter prequel actually makes a whole lot of sense considering how much of the original series reflected on the past.

Who is in the Dexter: Original Sin cast?

Michael will return — this time as his younger self’s inner voice.

Shadow and Bone star Patrick Gibson will step into the role of young Dexter, while Golden Globe winner Christian Slater will play the young murderer’s adoptive father, Harry.

Molly Brown has been tapped to portray Dexter’s younger sister Debra Morgan.

Grey’s Anatomy alum Patrick Dempsey was announced to be part of the series, too. He’ll portray Aaron Spencer, the Captain of the Miami Metro Homicide team.

Maria Laguerta will be played by Christina Milian and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy) has also been announced for the Dexter: Original Sin cast.

How to watch Dexter: Original Sin in Australia

Dexter: Original Sin will be available to watch in Australia on Paramount+. Plans start for $6.99 a month and you can cancel at any time.

Dexter: Original Sin release date

Showtime revealed that Dexter: Original Sin will premiere this December and will consist of 10 episodes. The news was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con.

Dexter: Original Sin will be available to stream on Paramount+.

Industry figure claims Home and Away’s Nicholas Cartwright called him a c**t in leaked texts

Home and Away star Nicholas Cartwright has reportedly called a former executive for the soap a c**t in a leaked text exchange.

The drama all began when Dan Bennett – who ran the Seven soap as Network Script Executive between 2016 and 2017 – responded to a social media post of Nicholas (who plays Cash Newman on Home and Away).

“I’d seen him promoting an upcoming [Home and Away] storyline about the River Boys coming back,” Bennett told Daily Mail Australia.

Dan said that he responded to the story with some “zzz’s” which he explained implied that he thought the plot angle was “a bit boring”.

“Of course, that’s just my view; I’m just a fan these days. But next thing you know, I’ve got Nicholas Cartwright – one of the supposed stars of the show – sending me DMs and calling me ‘a c**t,” Dan told the publication.

“I don’t know Nicholas, I’ve never met him… so to think that’s how he talks to fans is deeply concerning.”

Nicholas from Home and Away

What else did the messages between Dan and Nicholas say?

Daily Mail Australia published screenshots of the conversation (which you can see here), and – as Dan said – they show him responding to Nicholas’s Instagram story with a bunch of ‘Zzz’ emojis.

Nicholas then reportedly replied back: “Rude response from someone in the industry Dan.”

The former Script Executive then went off on somewhat of a tangent in his published reply.

“Or perhaps an informed response from someone who knows that show better than anyone else on the planet and is bereft to see it reverting to River Boy nonsense,” he began.

“The notion that we should support productions simply because we’re in the “industry” as opposed to supporting them because the quality is A+, is nonsense. How does anyone fair by applauding mediocrity as opposed to excellence?”

Nicholas reportedly responded, “Okate mate, try not to be a c**t about it next time 👍.”

Nicholas from Home and Away

Dan contacted Nicholas’ Home and Away bosses about the exchange

Dan told the publication that he contacted Nicholas’s bosses at Home and Away about the message exchange.

“I don’t want to p*** on anyone’s career or get anyone in trouble, but I’ve messaged his seniors and been told that it’s been dealt with and I’m happy with that,” he said.

“He was probably just having a bad day and p***ed off about something else. But it wasn’t a nice experience and I would hate to think he’d message anyone else something like that.”

Soooo, Dan ridiculed Nicholas’ work in a DM, lectured him about his job, and dobbed him into his bosses. Yet, he’s the one claiming he didn’t have a “nice experience”? Right. Okay.

FWAW’s Claire Saunders has listed her wedding dress for sale on Facebook

Farmer Wants a Wife’s Claire Saunders has taken a savage dig at her ex-fiance Andrew Coleman while listing her wedding dress for sale on Facebook.

In Early July, the 2023 Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) contestant announced that her wedding to Farmer Andrew was cancelled.

“My dogs and I have headed north to Darwin to work for the dry season. Andrew and I have had to cancel our wedding due to reasons out of our control, but we are both okay,” she began in an Instagram post.

“I’m not sure what else to say other than, sometimes life is hard and we all just need a little breathing space. There will be no farming content from me for the foreseeable future,” she cryptically added.

Claire’s post. Image: Instagram.

Both 2023 reality stars also deleted their engagement posts from their Instagram grids.

However, there was still a glimmer of hope for the couple as Andrew still has a yellow heart emoji next to Claire’s name in his Instagram bio.

Why did Farmer Andrew and Claire cancel their wedding?

While neither party has publicly revealed exactly why they called their wedding off, a former Farmer Wants a Wife 2023 contestant has spilled the tea.

She told Yahoo! Lifestyle Australia that Andrew and Claire are still together but things are dicey.

“Last I heard, they’re technically still together but taking time apart and having a break,” the unnamed co-star said. She added that the choice to cancel was “led by Andrew” and said that Claire was “pretty upset”.

Claire Saunders has listed her wedding dress for sale

Claire and Andrew’s nuptials appear to be well and truly cancelled, with the marketing manager taking to Facebook to sell her wedding dress.

“Arya Wedding Dress by Essense size 10 Brand New with Tags (never worn) Comes with sleeves that you can add on if you’d like to. Price is firm, as the retail price is $3100 Pick up Narromine, Dubbo or Launceston,” she wrote in the post.

Claire posted her wedding dress in multiple groups on Facebook. When a user commented on the post and said that they hoped Claire “was ok”, she took an apparent dig at Andrew.

“I’m okay, I’d rather be where I am now instead of being married to a selfish F wit!!” she responded, as per Yahoo Lifestyle.

Claire and Andrew’s engagement

Andrew popped the question to Claire in March 2024.

At the time, the pair shared the exciting engagement news on Instagram by posting a boomerang video of a pair of champagne flutes, their horses and an emerald ring adorning Claire’s finger.

“I said YES to the love of my life 💍❤️,” Claire captioned the now-deleted video.

“So absolutely grateful that I wake up to this life everyday. You are my best friend @farmerandrewau and my safe place, ILYSM Xx #engaged #ourbestlife.”

Claire and Andrew’s Farmer Wants a Wife journey

Claire and Andrew met on FWAW but their story didn’t follow the typical script. Andrew almost immediately recognised Claire as the one for him and he decided to let the other contestants go before the finale.

“There was a note on my bed when I arrived at the farm. It read, ‘Meet me outside, we need to chat.’ I was convinced I was about to be sent home, so it came as a pleasant surprise.”

“I got to the farm and there was a letter on the bed, and it said, ‘Meet me out the front, we need to talk.’ I thought I was going home, so I didn’t expect that, it was nice,” FWAW‘s Claire told Woman’s Day at the time.

After Andrew confessed his love to Claire, the couple left the show together and moved to his farm shortly after.

It’s a good day for The Boys fans because the show’s getting a spinoff

Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is getting a prequel spinoff called Vought Rising which is great news for fans who were bummed about Season 5 ending.

The Boys spinoff was announced during a panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) will feature in the new prequel series.

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming The Boys spinoff, Vought Rising.

What is The Boys spinoff Vought Rising about?

Vought Rising is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s”, according to the official The Boys Instagram page.

“Vought Rising may or may not feature the very first Herogasm, founded in 1952,” the post added about The Boys spinoff.

For the uninitiated, Herogasm is a yearly festival where superheroes engage in a bunch of sexual activity. A selling point for the new spinoff if I ever did hear one!

Vought Rising will also follow “the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a ‘Supe’ known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”, according to executive producers Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong‘s statement (shared by news.com.au).

“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

This will be the third The Boys spinoff.

The Boys Season 5 will be the last

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was also revealed that Jensen will play a major role in The Boys Season 5 and that a relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander will be further explored.

The Boys Season 4 premiered in June 2024 and it was recently confirmed that Season 5 would be its last.

Just before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 4 in June, Eric Kripke (the mastermind behind the show), announced that Season 5 would be the final season.

“SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERF***ERS!” the tweet read.

“From the very beginning, I wanted to wrap it out around season five,” Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter.

“And then I would say plans really solidified that we were going to actually do it years ago.

“It might have been because I was trained as a TV writer and there were five acts,” he added.

“It gives you enough time to get to know the characters… It’s about the characters and then you kick off into a climax.”

End of an era! At least now we have The Boys spinoff to look forward to, huh?

The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Samantha Jade on why she “took ages to say yes” to DWTS 2024

Samantha Jade has revealed why she agreed to join the Dancing With The Stars 2024 cast after previously turning down the opportunity.

She is currently competing on the show alongside professional dancer Gustavo Viglio and has topped the Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) leaderboard in the first two weeks of competition.

Back in 2022, Samantha Jade told Yahoo Lifestyle that she’d previously been asked to join the reality show.

“I’ve been asked to do them all,” she said at the time, listing I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The Masked Singer and DWTS as the shows that she’s said no to.

Samantha Jade. Image: Instagram.

So why did Samantha Jade join Dancing With The Stars 2024?

In a new interview, Samantha Jade told Yahoo Lifestyle that she previously turned down the show because she was “scared” before deciding it was time to challenge herself.

“I think they asked me last November and I was kind of like, ‘Oh, I’m not sure’ again and then took ages to say yes, and my manager was like, ‘What is it? What are you scared of? What is the thing?’,” she explained.

“I think I was like, ‘Oh no, I won’t be good at it, it’ll be too hard’, and putting it in that basket of the ‘too hard’ thing. And then I was like, why am I doing that? Like, how fun to learn a new skill as well?”

Samantha and Gustavo on DWTS. Image: Seven.

The Peachy singer said that while DWTS was initially gruelling, she’s grateful she pushed herself to do it.

“When you get to a certain age you don’t do things that scare you anymore. You’ve got your little setups, you’ve got your life, you know what you can do.

“And I was like, that’s not a good thing. I want to do something that scares me and gives me that ‘Ooh, I’m nervous to do this’ feeling,” she continued.

“And what I wanted from the experience is exactly what I got. The first week I was like, ‘What have I done? Oh my gosh, this is so hard!’. But it was such a great experience, I loved it.”

Love Island’s Phoebe and Mitch’s break-up announcement

Phoebe and Mitch both shared break-up announcements on their respective Instagram accounts.

Phoebe said that she was a “wreck” and “honestly never thought” she’d be writing a breakup announcement.

“Unfortunately Mitch and I have separated,” she wrote.

“As you can imagine, I have been a wreck and not in a good head space as of lately, so I’d really appreciate it if you guys don’t ask questions or make assumptions,” she continued.

“As much as I wanted him to be my forever, we ended up wanting different things. Regardless of that though, I will always love him.”

Mitch penned a similar announcement.

“Unfortunately me and Phoebe have decided after two years that we would go our separate ways,” he began.

“Never thought I’d be one to make a break up post, but I feel like it’s needed so we can focus on getting through this and moving on.”

He then addressed Phoebe directly.

“Phoebe, we fell in love the day we met and from then on you showed me what it’s like to be so bloody loved. You gave me an amazing two years and I can’t thank you enough for that.

“But we need time to grow as our own people. I still love you very very much and will still always be backing you,” Mitch concluded.

Sending lots of love to both of them.

Harry Garside shares an important realisation following his Olympics elimination

Harry Garside has shared a heartfelt message on social media after missing out on the gold medal he was gunning for at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Overnight Australian time, Harry was eliminated in the first round of the men’s 63.5kg class. He won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and had been hoping to score a gold in Paris.

In a post-match interview that personally broke my heart watching at home, Harry apologised to his home country and revealed that times ahead will be tough for him.

Harry Garside’s disappointment over his Paris 2024 Olympics outcome

“It is crazy… two decades dedicated to one dream and it is over just like that,” Harry told Nine.

“Australia is such a sporting nation and I’m so sorry. Honestly, I feel like a failure right now … I don’t even know what to say,” he added.

“Deep down inside I fear for what the next couple of months look like for myself. I’m sure there’ll be some dark times. I’ve just got to prepare for that now.”

Harry’s heartfelt realisation

Harry has taken to social media following his Olympics outcome to share how he’s feeling after some time to process and we’re glad to see him looking a bit more optimistic.

Sharing that he’s been “beating himself up for a couple of hours” over the events before coming to a “realisation”.

“I had this realisation that I wanted a two-decade journey to try and get that gold medal. And yes, I didn’t get that gold medal but I became my own friend in that journey,” Harry reflected.

Harry continued to explain that his self-worth was low at the beginning of the journey and now he feels like he has the relationship with himself to manage his inner-critic.

“Over the last three years, I really worked hard and trying to build my self-worth and trying to grow and evolve and be kind to myself more often. In that, I don’t get success, but I’d rather be my friend and have no success.”

Harry then got emotional as he went on to share his hopes of becoming a dad one day.

“Being a dad and not passing on negative things to my kids is really important to me. So I’m really happy that the two-decade journey wasn’t for nothing,” Harry finished.

Absolutely sensational human that the whole of Australia is cheering on right now, gold medal or not.

You can watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on 9 and 9Now. Harry Garside also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023 which you can watch on 10Play.

Hunted Australia 2024: Meet the Hunters who are led by a new Chief

Hunted Australia 2024’s Fugitives have the opportunity to bag up to a million bucks, but to do so they’ll need to outsmart some very experienced Hunters.

Nine pairs of everyday Aussies are tasked with the mission of evading the Hunters for 21 days and if they can do just that, they’ll win the prize money.

However, the Hunters are made up of some of the best in the business. They’ve worked for the Australian Federal Police, Australian Defence Force, British military, special ops and private security.

“All over the shop”: DWTS’ Hayden Quinn says it was tricky learning 6 dances at once

Hayden Quinn has revealed that he had so much more to show Australia before his untimely Dancing With The Stars elimination during the July 28 episode.

Hayden, who was partnered with Lily Cornish, was the first celebrity from group two to be eliminated, and the second from the competition.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, the former MasterChef contestant admitted that he was “disappointed” that he didn’t go further.

“We had done so much hard work and there were still some more dances to come. My next dance was my favourite dance,” Hayden said.

“[I’m] definitely disappointed. But obviously stoked with just being in there and having a go and doing our best.

“I would have liked to hang around for one more week to do my Pasodoble.”

The Pasodoble is a fast-paced Spanish military dance, that is regularly used by infantry troops. Hayden revealed that he and Lily were planning on performing it to We Will Rock You by Queen.

The Dancing With The Stars celebrities perfect multiple dances before the show starts

Dancing With The Stars rehearsals are rigorous, and Hayden revealed that the celebs spend weeks learning multiple dances before the show even begins filming.

“We had six [dances] in the bag ready to go,” he said. “So I think, really, maybe we should have just focussed on the [first] ones harder.”

Hayden and Lily rehearsing. Image: Seven.

Hayden said that he and Lily spent long hours rehearsing their dances for weeks on end.

“Gosh, it was full-on. I think we were at it [rehearsing] for like seven weeks or so,” he shared. “And we were doing five days a week, eight hours a day. Just going for it,” he said.

Hayden explained that he needed the dancing boot camp to get ready for the competition.

“You’ve got to have that intensity. Because, for me, I was learning a brand new skill right from the start. So it’s an intense crash course in ballroom dancing.”

Hayden said that learning six different styles of dancing was a big task to take on, and said he struggled at times to remember which steps belonged to which style.

“That happened all the time, although the styles are very, very different, it’s still very similar moves.

“Some styles you have to lead with your heel, others you have to lead with your toe and like if you mix them up, then you’ve completely stuffed. It gets a little bit all over the shop.”

Welp, at least Hayden has some extra dances up his sleeve to pull out the next time he hits a dance floor.

Neighbours costars honour Janet Andrewartha following the news of her death

Australian actor Janet Andrewartha — known fondly as Lyn Scully on soap Neighbours — has died. She was 72.

Neighbours announced the passing of Janet on their social media channels, sharing that the cast and crew of the television show are “deeply saddened”.

According to Herald Sun, Janet died peacefully on Friday with her daughters, Sarah and Eloise, by her side.

Janet also played Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H, and more recently appeared in Safe Home on SBS and the Logie-nominated Paramount+ drama Fake starring Asher Keddie.

Neighbours costars share tributes for Janet Andrewartha

In the social media post announcing Janet’s passing, Neighbours cast member Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) remembered Janet as “an extraordinary woman” who she will miss.

“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,” Jackie said in the Neighbours post.

“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. To me she was a steadfast friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”

Stefan Dennis (who plays Paul Robinson) commented on the post to echo Jackie’s words.

“So very upset to lose the lovely Janet,” Stefan wrote. “As Jackie said, she truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure work with and to be around. We will all miss you dear girl.”

Carla Bonner (who played Steph Scully, Lyn’s daughter) shared an image of a candle overnight to her Instagram Stories saying, “I will miss you forever.”

Photos of the And Just Like That cast at a funeral have the internet in a tizzy

Filming of And Just Like That Season 3 is well underway and on-set photos of the cast attending a funeral have fans in a chokehold.

The pics show Carrie, Charlotte, Harry, Anthony and Miranda dressed in black at a funeral. Noticeably missing from the pap pics is Miranda’s ex-husband Steve, which is…concerning.

“Where. The F*CK. Is Steve. EVERYONE IS IN THAT PICTURE BUT STEVE,” one Reddit user wrote.

With fans racking their brains trying to figure out who the funeral could be for, Steve isn’t the only name in the mix.

It’s been confirmed that Miranda’s other ex Che won’t be returning for Season 3, so there’s a possibility the funeral could be for her.

Of course, Sex and The City fans have begged for Samantha Jones’s return since And Just Like That (AJLT) was originally released. While she had a brief cameo in the Season 2 finale she’s ruled out the possibility of a Season 3 return.

This unfortunate development has us begging and pleading that the AJLT cast isn’t attending Samantha’s funeral.

While we don’t know whose funeral the AJLT cast is attending, here’s everything we do know about the upcoming season.

When will Just Like That Season 3 air?

And Just Like That Season 3 doesn’t have an air date yet, but it’s not expected to be released until 2025.

The cast of And Just Like That Season 3

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman and John Corbett will all be back for Season 3.

However, there will be a few faces that will not return. Sara Ramirez who played Che Diaz, and Karen Pittman who played Nya Wallace won’t be in the new season.

What is And Just Like That about?

The series, from executive producer Michael Patrick King, follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

What happened in And Just Like That Season 2?

Before we dive into the next instalment, here’s a rundown of some of the seriously cooked storylines we’ve seen in Season 2!

  • Following the real-life death of star Willie Garson, his character Stanford’s absence was explained. He became a Monk!
  • Carrie and Aidan reunited although it looks as though their relo is already doomed following a blissful union.
  • Che just existed to annoy the crap out of all of us….and have a failed career. Not to mention, her SAVAGE takedown of Miranda in her latest comedy set.
  • Charlotte became a stage parent to Rock (Alexa Skye Swinton) and Lily (Cathy Ang) and Miranda’s son Brady (Niall Cunningham) had sex!
  • Miranda got dumped twice after trying to make her life with Brady and Che work.

So, a MAFS 2025 bride is Jonathan McCullough’s recent ex-girlfriend

MAFS 2025 bride Lauren Hall is a recent ex-girlfriend of 2024 groom Jonathan McCullough.

Daily Mail Australia has reported that Lauren, who’s the CEO of Mayfair Lane Gifts, and Jonathan (Jono) became friends almost a decade ago, but reconnected in 2022.

The publication said that the couple dated for three months before splitting in January 2023 on good terms, which would have been shortly before Jono auditioned for MAFS.

It was reported that casting producers “had knowledge” about Jono and Lauren’s link, but asked her to remove any picture of him from her social media accounts.

“Production were hoping to quietly sweep it under the rug, but word got around that she was appearing on the show and they knew each other,” the production source told Daily Mail.

All the MAFS 2025 cast members with reality TV connections

Lauren is far from the only MAFS 2025 participant with a connection to a reality TV star.

Many of the leaked MAFS 2025 cast members have reality alum friends, and some have even been on TV before.

Bride Sierah Swepstone was on Jimmy Nicholson‘s season of The Bachelor and groom Paul Antoine was on on The Real Love Boat Australia in 2023.

On top of that, Jeff Gobbels – who’s been coupled up with Rhi Disljenkovic on the upcoming season – reportedly appeared on three episodes of Neighbours in 2017 as police officer Kurt Bridges.

Who is Lauren Hall’s MAFS groom?

Lauren’s MAFS 2025 groom hasn’t been leaked… yet.

However, the MAFS 2025 couples are trickling out with leaked photos and videos popping up in the media from each wedding.

So, if that’s anything to go by, we assume it won’t be long until we find out who Lauren’s TV husband will be. Stay tuned!

Proof that MAFS 2025 couple Rhi and Jeff knew each other before their wedding

MAFS 2025 may not have started airing yet but the drama certainly has, with the news that new couple Jeff Gobbels and Rhi Disljenkovic knew each other before the experiment.

Jeff and Rhi walked down the aisle at their televised wedding in late July.

In previous seasons, MAFS participants have had their phone access removed when they entered the experiment. However, Chattr can confirm that Rhi already follows Jeff on Instagram, suggesting that the pair knew each other before going on the show.

Jeff and Rhi recognised each other at the MAFS altar

An insider attended Jeff and Rhi’s wedding and snapped a video of Rhi walking down the aisle. The clip was shared by Daily Mail Australia and on MAFSGossip Instagram account and showed Jeff recognising his bride as she walked towards him.

“Hi Rhi,” he said to her, before adding: “What the hell?”

Further pics from the same publications showed Rhi and Jeff laughing after recognising each other.

Who is MAFS’ Jeff Gobbels?

According to Daily Mail Australia, MAFS won’t be the first TV show that Jeff’s appeared on. The publication reported he appeared on three episodes of Neighbours in 2017 as police officer Kurt Bridges.

The same title said that he’s also appeared in the TV mini-series The Warriors, the 2018 film Undertow and the 2019 Chinese drama The Whistleblower.

Jeff is a Melbourne-based Founder and Director of Splash Vodka.

Who is MAFS’ Rhi Disljenkovic?

While Rhi doesn’t have a TV background like some of her co-stars, she’s pals with some big reality stars. Former The Bachelor leads Matt Agnew and Sam Wood, as well as MAFS 2024’s Eden Harper all follow her on Instagram.

Katy Perry is performing at the 2024 AFL Grand Final and fans have some thoughts

Katy Perry and the AFL Grand Final may be two phrases you never thought you’d read in the same sentence but the day has come. The Teenage Dream singer – who’s recently made headlines over her, er, questionable comeback single – is taking centre stage at the 2024 AFL Grand Final.

In previous years, we’ve had iconic Australian performers such as Delta Goodrem, Wolfmother, Vance Joy and Powderfinger take the stage at the final.

On the other side of the coin, there have also been some international performers in the past, including The Killers and Ed Sheeran.

Regardless, Katy’s inclusion in the quintessentially Australian event has raised a few eyebrows since it was announced, and some vocal AFL fans have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts.

Some remarked that Katy’s recent comeback single Woman’s World (which failed in the charts and Rolling Stone called a “catastrophic flop”) is the reason that she’s agreed to do a gig that’s blatantly different from her normal choices.

“The AFL booking Katy Perry for the grand final after her flop single is so funny to me actually,” one person wrote.

Others have questioned why AFL bought in an international act when Australia already has so many incredible homegrown artists.

There are also the AFL fans who are worried it will be even harder to get a gig to the sporting gig than it already is. However, there are some fans who are stoked about the news.

Check out the best Twitter reactions to the news that Katy Perry is performing at the AFL Grand Final

We’re sure Katy’s too busy counting her millions to worry about what the haters think.

The rumoured reason why Rita Ora isn’t returning to The Voice is so brutal

Rita Ora won’t be returning as a coach on The Voice Australia 2024, and there’s reportedly a very specific reason why.

Rita was a coach from 2021 until 2023 and a contestant from her team won two of the three seasons. However, earlier this year it was announced that she wouldn’t return for the 2024 season.

In January, The Daily Telegraph reported that Rita had a schedule conflict, and would be busy filming the American version of The Masked Singer at the same time The Voice Australia was set to film.

However, a production insider told Yahoo Lifestyle that the scheduling conflict wasn’t the only reason.

The Voice Australia 2023 Teams
The 2023 coaches. Image: Seven.

Why isn’t Rita Ora returning to The Voice Australia 2024?

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, the multiplatinum singer didn’t rejoin the popular singing show over pay disputes.

“The decision was made last year and the casting team were looking for quite some time,” the insider told the publication.

“When you have stars returning each year it becomes expensive. You really need to keep increasing their salary to keep them and eventually, they become too expensive.

“The company line was that Jessica [Mauboy], Rita and Jason [Derulo] were all too busy, but I don’t think anyone is too busy to pick up these sorts of pay cheques. It certainly did have a lot to do with keeping the costs down.”

Who are the coaches on the Voice 2024?

Guy Sebastian is the only coach who’ll be returning from the 2023 panel. The three new coaches are LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller- Heidke and Adam Lambert.

Adam was a judge on the Australian version of The X-Factor in 2016 and has been a judge and mentor on American Idol.
