Radio host Kyle Sandilands has revealed his shocking brain diagnosis live on air during the The Kyle and Jackie O Show on February 3.
Kyle, who missed Friday’s show due to illness, told his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson that he’s been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and requires urgent surgery.
“On Friday, I was told by my medical team, which sounds like I’m already very sick, to have a medical team, that I have a brain aneurysm, and it requires immediate attention, brain surgery,” he said.
“So if you just tuned in to us after all these years, lap it up. And if you’re in Melbourne, you’re coming to the party too late. You may get your wish, I may be dead. It’s possible, it’s highly possible.”

When Jackie encouraged Kyle to “think positive” in regard to his recent diagnosis, he responded by saying, “That shit doesn’t work in real life”.
Kyle didn’t reveal exactly when he will be having the surgery but said that he may need up to eight weeks off work.
“It’s not a blockage. It’s like, imagine your blood vessel is the garden hose, and the garden hose is weak and it blisters out like a big bubble, you know, like a puncture in it, like a bike tyre with a big bubble that bubbles the aneurysm, so it’s not blocked,” the Australian Idol judge explained.
“It’s like, it’s expanded, and if it bursts, it’s either a vegetable in the wheelchair or dead.”
Kyle gets emotional about his family
During the segment, Kyle received a video message from his wife, Tegan Kynaston, and his two-year-old son Otto.
The clip showed Otto telling his dad that he loved him and made Kyle tear up live on air.
“Sorry, after seeing that video from my child, it’s really just overwhelmingly sad now,” he said. “I don’t want to leave a wife and a little child. I know my wife has grown up without a father, and I know that that was very difficult for her.”
Jackie reassured Kyle that she believes his surgery would be successful and encouraged any listeners who’ve experienced headaches or similar reoccurring issues to get a brain scan.
