Jaden Laing is the hilarious physical threat from Campbelltown who’s proven to be a fan favourite.
While his jovial and relaxed personality has his castmates enjoying their time with him, Jaden’s ability to go far in the game shouldn’t be underestimated.
With his huge muscles and massive frame, he is debatably the strongest player to ever compete on Australian Survivor. In fact, the strong man has pulled trucks, cars and boats at weights over a whopping 16 tonnes.
Jaden is an Instagram influencer
Prior to appearing on Australian Survivor, Jaden boasted over 250,000 followers and has since shot up to 280,000.
According to For Creators, Influencers with 250,000 followers can expect to make about $6000 on a single Insta post.
Over on TikTok, the strongman has over 500,000 followers and over 25 million likes.
As well as working in the social media space, Jaden is a coach for See Change Nutrition and an athlete for EHP Labs.
Jaden was approached to go on WWE
In February, Jaden shared his excitement about being approached to be part of the world-famous WWE league.
“GOT OFFERED TO TRY OUT FOR THE WWE ððºð¸,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Social media has opened up so many opportunities in my life but this has to be one of the craziest ones.”
“I literally grew up watching WWE religiously with the hopes and dreams of one day becoming a WWE wrestler.”
Jaden shared a screenshot of a message from a WWE recruiter, along with an old video of him performing a WWE move on his mate.
“The last video is one of the first social media videos I’d ever made when the app “vine” was popular,” he explained. “This is proof that honestly, anything is possible in life. So grateful for what god is doing in my life. I’m so blessed ðð½ #wwe.”
The message from the recruiter
Jaden shared a screenshot of the message the WWE recruiter sent him on Instagram.
“Hey Jaden, I hope this finds you well! This is Brad Fernandez from the Talent ID and Recruitment Division here at the WWE,” it began.
The recruiter asked Jaden to attend auditions in Perth between Tuesday, February 20th and Thursday February 22nd.
“We will be bringing in a small select group of elite athletes from diverse athletic backgrounds. This is our first showcase in Australia in over 5 years.”
“No wrestling experience is required as we are now focusing on recruiting elite athletes and many of our current superstars are former rugby players. All travel, flights and hotels are covered by us.”
